I think this New England Patriots team is a bad football team and are overvalued in the betting markets. There's no doubt head coach Bill Belichick is as good as it gets but because of his past success the Patriots are getting way too much respect right now. New England is bad on both sides of the football this year. Offensively they have almost no passing game as starting quarterback Cam Newton has thrown just 3 touchdowns this entire season to go along with 7 interceptions while averaging below 200 yards a game in the air. On the defensive side of the football the Patriots rank dead last at Football Outsiders in defensive efficiency for the season.
The Houston Texans are just 2-7 overall in 2020 but six of their defeats have come against teams with a 6-3 record or better currently and the other loss came against a red hot Minnesota Vikings team that's arguably the best below .500 team in the NFL. The Texans have struggled this year defensively but they got back a few key defensive pieces back from injury last week in their 10-7 loss at Cleveland. The Texans also have who I feel is the most underrated quarterback in the league in DeShaun Watson. Most don't realize just how good Watson has been as his quarterback rating this year and for his career are both above 100.
