Sunday 1/8/23 Free Plays / Trends / Betting Info / Etc
1* FREE PLAY Winnipeg.
I like the Jets to close out their recent home stretch with one last victory. Winnipeg is off the 4-2 win over Tampa. It's won four straight, definitely playing its best hockey of the season right now. The Canucks are off the 4-2 home win over Colorado, but with upcoming tough road games at Pittsburgh, Tampa, Florida and Carolina respectively, I believe they get caught "looking ahead" here. If you don't mind laying a bit of chalk, I think the Jets are worthy of a second look here for sure!

NFL | Chargers vs Broncos
Play on: Broncos -3 -115 at linepros
Play - Denver Broncos (Game 470).
Edges - Broncos: 5-1 ATS as a host in this series; and QB Russell Wilson is 16-4 ATS versus division foes coming off consecutive wins, including 11-0 ATS when not favored by three or more points… Chargers: 3-8 ATS in this series when coming off consecutive wins and Broncos are off consecutive losses … With that, we recommend a 1* play on Denver. Thank you and good luck as always.
Sunday's Free NFL Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -14
I don't play a ton of double-digit favorites in the NFL, but this is one I feel like you have to take a stab on. The Eagles need to win this game to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC. It's not just a matter of falling from the No. 1 to the No. 2 seed. A loss by Philly coupled with a Cowboys win at Washington and the Eagles wouldn't even win their own division. They would fall the way down to the No. 5 seed. A difference of getting a bye next week or having to play on the road against the Bucs.
As for the Giants, they locked in a Wild Card spot last week and are locked into the No. 6 seed. With absolutely nothing to play for, they are resting all of their key starters. I just don't think New York has the depth to compete with this Eagles team. Where is the offense going to come from? How will their defense get off the field? Not to mention Hurts is expected back in the lineup for Philly. Eagles have been too good all season to slip up in this spot against a bunch of backups. I expect them to win big and easily cover the two touchdown spread. Give me Philadelphia -14!
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Los Angeles Rams +6
Bobby Wagner is a former member of the Seattle Seahawks and got the raw end of the deal in the offseason. He had his best game of the season earlier this year against the Seahawks with two sacks and an interception. The Rams played with more intensity in that game than any other game this season, and they would love nothing more than to knock the Seahawks out of the playoffs with a win Sunday. The Rams have gotten their ground game going in recent weeks rushing for 158 yards against the Broncos and 166 against the Chargers. Now they will be up against a Seattle defense that that ranks 30th against the run allowing 150.5 yards per game and 26th at 4.8 yards per carry. The Rams are 8th in the NFL allowing just 4.2 yards per carry. Nothing is going to come easy for this Seattle offense, and even though the Rams aren't great on offense, they should be able to move the football against this putrid Seattle defense. The Rams are 8-3 SU in their last 11 meetings with the Seahawks. The Rams have lost by more than 6 points to the Seahawks just once in the last 12 meetings. Los Angeles is 4-0 ATS in its last four games off a loss. Seattle is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games overall. Give me the Rams.
Sunday NBA Free play. My selection is on Phoenix plus the points over Cleveland at 8:10 pm et on Sunday.
We missed with the Suns on Friday as they fell to the Heat by a 104-96 score - their fifth straight loss. More of the talk leading into this game is about who won't be on the floor for Phoenix rather than who will be. Regardless, I like the fact that we're catching a handful of points with the Suns as they look to snap their skid before heading out on a long, difficult road trip. Cleveland is just 1-5-1 ATS over its last seven contests following a 13-point loss in Denver on Friday. Note that the Cavs are just 7-11 SU on the road this season, outscoring opponents by just 0.6 points on average. Cleveland slid past Phoenix in a low-scoring game earlier this week and that's notable as the Suns are 42-27 ATS when seeking revenge for a loss against an opponent over the last three seasons, outscoring those opponents by an average margin of 6.4 points in that situation. Take Phoenix.
