The Ducks' Jonas Hiller could again be in net Wednesday as Anaheim (14-9-3) takes on the Blackhawks at the United Center. Hiller has appeared in three straight games as No. 1 goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere left for his native Montreal last week on a personal matter, then had to depart Monday's game in Detroit due to groin cramps.

Hiller has gone 2-1-1 with a 0.87 goals-against average in that span. He earned his second shutout in four starts with a 1-0 victory over the Blackhawks on Friday and now faces the same chicago team again tonight.

The Blackhawks are playing their first game at home in the last 17 days after a long west coast trip and that is usually a tough spot to be in especially against an Anaheim team that has won 4 of their last 5 and will be looking to rebound off of a close 1 goal loss to Detroit in their last game. Some Ernie Kent comments on the offense:
“A lot of that has to do with running offense with so many young guys,” Kent said. “We get really stagnant at times; sometimes we dribble too fast and shoot it too fast in the halfcourt. … His frustration has come just because we’ve got so many new guys on the floor, when teams take away that first option they don’t understand how to run and second and third option right now.”

Utah has played excellent defense this season holding opponents to 36.6% from the field and I just can not see the Ducks having much success on the road coming off two sub 35% shooting performances against this Ute’s defense. Oregon already has 4/6 games this season where they shot under 40% and the pace should no be that fast here
