I'll have analysis of this game posted later. My math favors Carolina by 3 with a total of 38, but the situation favors Carolina.

Larry's 7* Monday Night Mismatch (69.2% TY)

For the 3rd straight Monday, the pointspread tells us to expect a close game. Each of the last two Mondays, Larry's said "NOT SO" and delivered Monday Night Mismatch winners with the Saints (51-29) and Texans (30-17). He's now 9-4 (69.2%) on Mondays TY and he's calling for another Monday Night Mismatch, tonight. Who are you gonna believe?

REASON FOR PICK: John Groce took over at Ohio U from Tim O'Shea, who had done a pretty good job at Athens (120 wins over his seven years, including seasons of 21, 19, 19 and 20 wins his last four). Those last four seasons coincided with the stay of the 6-8 Leon Williams (16.4-9.8 LY), who is now gone. Groce was an assistant at Ohio State under Thad Matta and is known as a great recruiter (we'll see how that goes in Athens?). Anyway, the Bobcats have lost their first two games of this three-game tourney in Freedom Hall and are coming off their worst performance of the season, losing 91-56 to 11th-ranked Louisville on Sunday. The Bobcats had 18 turnovers vs Louisville, got dominated on the boards (46-26) and shot just 5-of-19 from three-point 'land,' while the Cardinals made 11-of-23. The Sycamores were also trounced by Louisville (83-43) in the opening round of this tourney on Saturday but Rashad Reed's running floater with less than a second remaining lifted ISU to a 68-66 victory over Lamar yesterday, giving Indiana State its first win of the season, after an 0-6 start. Head coach Kevin McKenna is used to winning (played and was an assistant at Creighton) and while his 15-16 record last season (his first year as a head coach) may not see like a big deal, it was the most wins by an ISU team since the 2000-01 season when the Sycamores won 22 games. The 6-8 Tunnell (11.7-6.6) starts with four guards. Reed (12.9-4.1) leads the way along with Carter (10.4), freshman Richard (6.7-5.0) and Cutter (3.7-3.0 APG). There is little depth, with the 6-11 Crawford (6.4-4.3) about the only other contributor of note. As for the Bobcats, two 6-6 seniors lead the way. Jerome Tillman (21.2-9.8) is destined for a third straight All-MAC season and has scored 46 points with 13 rebounds in his first two games here in Louisville. Orr averages 12.2-4.7 and the other three starters are the almost useless 6-10 van Kempen (2.8-1.8) plus two solid guards. Coleman (9.8-4.0-3.3) is a 6-4 freshman and Allen (7.2-2.3-3.0) is back to run the point from LY. Freeman (8.7) and Dobbs (3.5) round out the reserves of note (both are guards). Neither team has much depth and this three games in three days format hurts both teams. However, Tillman is the best player on the floor and unlike the Sycamores, the Bobcats are not coming off a last-second win (remember, it was ISU's first of the season), but rather are looking to salvage one win from this up until now, 'lost' weekend.
