Chicago Bears -3 (+100)

Drew Brees and Company have got to try and tough it out tonight against a Bears team that has to love the scheduling of this game on this chilly December evening. The Saints are allowing over 28 points a game on the road, and has only defeated the Chiefs as visitors this year, and are 1-6 ATS as an underdog of 0.5-3.0 points. Chicago's pass defense is not as bad as advertised (28th in yards allowed), as they rank 8th in defensive passer rating, and as a defensive unit hold their opponents to 3.49 yards per rush (5th in NFL), and 33% conversions on 3rd downs (also 5th in the NFL). I see the Bears using Forte to pound a soft Saints run defense that has allowed teams 112+/yards a game to keep Brees off the field, opening up the play action to TE Greg Olsen. The key IMO, will be the Bears defense forcing 3rd and longs for Brees and company, as the Saints are 3rd in the league in converting 3rds, and can ill afford too many 3rd and shorts.

A nice night for Chicago Football

Go Bears!
