I use to live in Denver (spent two years there) and they are sitting at -7 right now. They were -15 last night.. I don't miss that shit for anything! I'm a smaller guy and that shit went right through me! Snow up to my knees and everything. Just not for me at all.

It was mid 50's here today, about 20 degrees warmer than the inside of my house was this weekend. We are lucky though, we got power now, and some of my friends and coworkers will be w/ out until probaby Friday. We got hit with an Ice Storm here in New England on Thursday. Not as bad as the one in 98', but close.

It is 36 outside here in San Antonio. Supposed to get below freezing tonight and thru midday tomorrow.

Had the A/C running all day yesterday. Went to bar at halftime of Dallas game in shorts and birkenstocks. Crashed around 3am, and it was still fine. Woke up at 9:30 and had to turn the heat on and grad another comforter !!

Will be wearing jeans and the leather jacket when I head out at halftime tonight !!

Yesterday it was -2 with a -29 wind chill here. I have been without power since last Friday morning. They are saying that it could be the 26th before power is restored. Right now it is +2 with a potential of a "heat wave" of 12 by the afternoon.

We had a big ice storm here. Tons of ice on everything along with high winds. Many trees falling into power lines, etc. May be Friday as Scott said before I get power.

We had a big ice storm in Ohio about 4 years ago and everyone was without electricity for a week then.Lucky my old house was up for sale at the time and had a wood burner so we went over there for a week and left the house we live in now.

The house we live in now has no wood burner only a furnace.

I doubt they have wood burners Mike ,not many people I know have one. If they do have wood burners then heats not the problem ,its not having any running water for a week .You wouldnt believe how bad it is not having running water for a week.
Plus you have to worry about your pipes bursting . I swore after we lost power for a week because of the wind a few months ago I was getting a generator (still havent got one yet) so I wouldnt have to put up with it again.

I hope timbob that you and scott are someplace warm and arent having to endure to much because of the power outage .

I hope everything gets back to normal soon for you ::handshake::

you guyS ARE ALL WELCOME HERE IN SACRAMENTO--it has been 60 + the last 2 weeks but next week they are saying it will be a frigid 55--gets down to low 40's to mid 30's at nite-

what we need here is rain and lots of snow in the mountains --we have neither!
