Meineke Car Care Bowl
3 Units
West Virginia (-2½) over North Carolina
1:00 PM -- Meineke Car Care Bowl - Bank of America Stadium, C
West Virginia by 7-10
TV: ESPN Comments: This one is cut and dried. West Virginia (8-4) is simply the better football team and should control this one from start to finish, with all due respect to North Carolina (8-4) The key to it all will be the WVU defense that gives up just 15.9 points a game.
Mostly cloudy. Winds blowing from the Southwest at 5-10 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 70.

Champs Sports Bowl
5 Units
Florida State (-6) over Wisconsin
4:30 PM -- Champs Sports Bowl - Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium,
Florida State by 13-14
TV: ESPN: Florida State (8-4) has almost all the edges in this one, but none stands out more than the Seminoles speed and quickness and the potential to exploit it against a Wisconsin (7-5) that is so slow it reminds one of the old Frank Howard teams at Clemson—big and with the feet of Frankenstein. Wisconsin was life and death to beat I-AA Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo, 36-35, in overtime in its last game of the season—and the only edge Cal Poly had was speed. FSU has speed and talent and Bobby Bowden teams come to win in the post season.
Partly cloudy. Winds blowing from the Southeast at 5-10 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 80.

College Bowl Blowout Game Of The Year
100 Units
California (-10) over MiamiFlorida
8:00 PM -- Emerald Bowl - AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
California by 24-27
TV: ESPN Comments: This game opened with California (8-4) a 7 ½-point favorite and has steadily climbed to the Golden Bears -10. The line movement has everything to do with overall talent and more specifically talent at the key skill positions. There is no comparison between the Cal and Miami (7-5) quarterbacks with California having a giant edge. As big as that edge is, it is far greater in the running back category, where California has Jahvid Best who rushed for 1,394 yards this season, including a 311-yard performance against Washington. In its last two games of the season, both losses, Miami gave up a total of 691 yards rushing and there is no indication the Hurricanes defense has improved since them. In addition to this, Miami has suspended a handful of starters for this game for violating team rules. California has won its last three bowl games and always comes to play in the post-season. One then must factor into the equation this is basically a “home” game for the Golden Bears, whose campus is right across the bay from the game site. Everything points to a blowout win for California.
Mostly cloudy with a 30-percent chance of rain. Winds blowing from the Southeast at 5-10 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 55.

College Basketball
3 Units
Washington St (+5½) over LSU
2:00 PM -- Pete Maravich Assembly Center
LSU by 1-2
TV: ESPN Comments: First of all, it would not surprise me if Washington State (8-3) won this one outright. The Cougars are a bit down this year but still play the 40-minutes-of-hell defense that takes opposing teams completely out of their rhythm. LSU (9-1) has played little more than cupcake teams this season and now takes a major jump up in class. One must also take into consideration the fact Washington State gives up an average of 48 points per game and has allowed more than 58 just once this season. A team that plays defense line this makes that +5 ½ awfully big.

College Basketball
5 Units
UAB (+13½) over Louisville
4:00 PM -- Freedom Hall
Louisville by 4-5
TV: ESPN2 Comments: UAB (8-3) will be a full strength for the first time this season when it takes the floor at Freedom Hall—and that says something for a team that is 3-1 on the road and has won at Arizona. I do not know whether UAB cam pull off an outright win but the figures say they Blazers will take Louisville (7-2) right to the money. No question Louisville has big time talent but has thus far this season show an absence of chemistry.

College Basketball
4 Units
Ohio State (-3) over West Virginia
4:00 PM -- Value City Arena
Ohio State by 8-9
TV: CBS Comments: Ohio State (9-0) does not have a single senior on its roster but is playing as if the future is now. The Buckeyes will be going for their 16th straight win dating back to last season and have already show they can beat good basketball teams, having knocked off Butler, Notre Dame and Miami-FL. West Virginia (9-2) comes into this game on one of the most hostile home courts in the country with injuries to key players, and that seems to be to put them right behind the eight ball.

20 Unit CFB CHAMP SPORTS BOWL SMASH** (18-8 Overall Run)

20 Units, Take Florida State ATS

The Noles are the overall superior team here Saturday afternoon and they are 6-0-1 in their last 7 games played at a neutral site. The Seminoles have out-scored their opponents by an average o 10.5 ppg on the road this season and they have dominated the time of possession this season averaging over 36 minutes per game with the ball this season. The Noles will wear down this Badgers defense Saturday since their offense will be on the field the majority of the game with their potent rushing attack that is complemented by a passing attack that has completed over 61.2% of their passes on the road this season. Take Florida State as my Champ Sports Bowl Smash and make sure you get on my other top plays as my huge overall run continues.

College Football
West Virginia -2.5 over UNC
What a great job UNC has done to turn their program around. West Virginia will be sending out one of the greatest running QB's to ever play the game in Pat White. White is 3-0 in bowl games and looking to end his career on a good note. This guy is unstoppable when he needs to be and I just do not see UNC keeping up today. Take West Virginia.

Wisconsin +6 over Florida State
The question in this game is which team is going to show up. A lot of people had the Badgers locked into a BCS Game when the season starters. Wisconsin barley made it to the bowl games. FSU had a decent season, but their scoring stats do not reflect on how mediocre their offense really is. This team had blowout wins against some bad teams. The money is heavy on FSU. Look for Wisconsin to use their big offensive line to slow the game down. Take the Points.

Miami +10 over Cal
This California team has played excellent down the stretch and has run the ball as good or better than anybody, but when you take them off their home turf they are just not a good football team no matter what the conditions are. Miami had success stopping the run until the end of the season. I think the long layoff will serve them well and they will fix that problem. Take Miami.

The Booooj is 6-2 in Bowl games after last nights loss.

Meineke Car Care Bowl
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina
10 Units on North Carolina (+2) over West Virginia
West Virginia (8-4) vs. North Carolina (8-4)- This game features two teams that stumbled down the stretch after appearing to be on their way to conference championships. West Virginia is led by Senior QB Pat White, who looks to go 4-0 in Bowl games for his career. Their backfield also features the elusive Noel Devine, who teamed with White to give the Mountaineers one of the Nation’s most explosive backfields. North Carolina will hope to slow down the West Virginia offense with a very young, very fast defense. If they can slow down the running game and force White to beat them through the air, they should be able to create some turnovers. On offense the Heels are led by QB TJ Yates and running back Shaun Draughn. If the Heels offense can control the clock and not turn the ball over, it should allow their defense to control Pat White and get the victory. North Carolina by 3-7.

Champs Sports Bowl
Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium, Orlando, Florida
10 Units on Florida St. (-6) over Wisconsin
Wisconsin (7-5) vs. Florida St. (8-4)- This is a matchup between two big name programs that didn’t quite live up to expectations this season. Both teams struggled offensively, especially at the Quarterback position. Wisconsin will look to pound the ball behind their huge offensive line and control the clock. Florida St. will look to spread the Badgers defense out and get some big plays out of running back Antone Smith. It will be a classic matchup of the Seminole’s speed against the power of Wisconsin. In the end look for Florida St.’s speed to prevail. Florida St. by 7-13.

Emerald Bowl
AT&T Park, San Francisco, California
50 Units on California (-10) over Miami (Fl)
Miami (7-5) vs. California (8-4)- California comes in playing their best football of the year down the stretch while Miami has struggled a bit of late. Miami’s defense is full of speed and talent, but has shown some weakness against the run of late, which plays right into the Bears hands. Cal will look to dominate on the ground with explosive running back Jahvid Best leading the way. Senior QB Nate Longshore will get the start for Cal, but don’t be surprised to see Kevin Riley if Longshore struggles early. Miami Freshman Jacory Harris will be making just his second start at QB after starter Robert Marve was suspended for the game. Harris is dangerous with his feet and could pose some problems for the Cal defense. In the end, I believe Cal will be able to cause some turnovers on defense and turn them into points on offense. Cal by 17-21.

5 Unit Play. #10 Take Florida State Seminoles over Wisconsin Badgers (Champs Sports Bowl, Saturday 4:30 pm ESPN) These are two of the most disappointing teams are set to do battle at the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando. The Seminoles should have a major edge in support, as their fan base is within driving distance. Early results from Wisconsin indicate weak ticket sales since Wisconsin has been in Florida five straight years and this is by far the worst team they have brought down here. The Badgers have a run only offense and expect the Noles to be able to shut them down and force QB Sherer to beat them with his arm. That is something he has not done this year very often, especially on the road. Wisconsin cannot wait for this season to end and Florida State always has Coach Bowden to play for, as he is locked in a tight battle for most wins against Joe Paterno. Florida State has the athletes and team speed to dominate Wisconsin and they will salvage their season with a dominating performance. Florida State 28, Wisconsin 17.

5 Unit Play. #720 Take LSU over Washington State (2:00 pm ESPN 2) Game of the Month. Granted the Tigers have not played that great of competition, but they return most of the talent from last season. The Cougars lost most of their talent and has already lost a couple of home games this season. They still play strong defense but that alone cannot win games on the road. This is a long trip for Washington State and they are playing a coach that is very familiar with their style. Coach Johnson left Stanford to take over at LSU and he has been a winner everywhere he goes and it will be no different at LSU. He has better talent then WSU with Thornton and Mitchell and they will be able to reach sixty points, as we collect big in the process.

4 Unit Play. Pod. #703. Take Oklahoma City Thunder +6.5 over Washington Wizards (Saturday @ 7pm est).

Golden Week in the NBA still in tact (will be 10th of my career if it stays in tact). 4-0 over L5 Days (+17 Units). Going for 5th winning day in a row.

Friday: 1-0: 4*: Pacers/Grizzlies Over (Pod)(W)
Thursday: 1-0: 4*. Magic -4 (Pod) (W)
Wed: No games, Pass.
Tuesday: 1-0: 5*: Bucks GOM (Pod) (W)
Monday: 1-0: 4*: Rockets/Nets Over (Pod) (W)

7-3 This Week.
3 Straight Winning weeks in Football (7-1 NFL Run, 3-0 NFL Last Week).
NFL GOY goes Sunday (22-7 Lifetime in 5* selections). Last year NFL GOY was Texans over Chiefs in Week1. (1-0 lifetime in nfl goys, 2nd year in service).
Going to remain doing 1 pod per day in both the nba and cbb as it is working soundly. Football card in its entirety comes thursdays each week.

You have already received the Meineke bowl selection earlier this week.

I was very, very close to making the Bucks my POD today for #5 in a row as we look to keep the Golden Week in tact. But, I laid off as I will consistently take the points rather than give it despite the fact I think Milwaukee defeats the Pistons by 10-12 points today with or without Iverson. Nevertheless, I think OKC wins this game outright here. Yes, the Thunder have three wins this year. But, that is irrelevant to us as we want the team that can cover with sound ATS - and the Thunder are top 5 over the last 2 weeks at covers. Explain this to me: Why in the world would we not back a team that lost by 4 to the Mavs on the road (easily covered the 13 point spread), lost by 5 to San Antonio on the road (easily covering the 16.5 spread), defeated Toronto at home, covered against Cleveland at home, covered against the Hawks on the road and was leading at points late in the second half and nearly defeated the Pistons on the road losing by a bucket as 11 point dogs. So, here you have a team that lost by just 4 points to Dallas and 5 points to San Antonio on the road, led the Hawks late, nearly defeated the Pistons and has covered 6 of their last 7 and they are a 6.5 dog to the Washington Wizards who are 1-7 ATS and have just 4 wins on the year. Yes, Washington played well against Cleveland and nearly beat them in Cleveland for the Cavs first loss of the year on the road, but in the same token, that was because Mike James used to be a Cav and showed up for 26 points as normally he does not light up the scoreboard. I look for OKC to win this game outright or get inside the number as they are the better, more focused team coming into this game and 13-3 ATS as road underdogs.

4 Unit Play. (Pod). #722. Kentucky -22.5 over Florida Atlantic (Saturday @ 3pm est). If you know anything about my handicapping, I don't take heavy favorites very often. After all, this week alone has been the likes of Fairfield as a heavy do at Uconn, Niagara as a small chalk and even East Carolina as a big dog against Wake which fell short. Thus, we are 2-1 in college hoops coming into today and the nba has been going well with a current golden week at 4-0 over the last five days. I've read countless articles published that talked about how coach Gillepsie in a lot of way took an incredible amount of heat in his first go around with traditionally historic Kentucky seasons. This year Gillespie had even more pressure as the faithful are sick and tired of losing and not being a top tier school. After all, one can only defend a coach so long if he continues to lose. But, this year is different. Gillespie has that chip on the shoulder and in particular at home. This team has consistently recruited well of late and they are buying into Gillespie. Look what Kentucky has done over the last few games at home: They defeated Tennessee State by 42 easily covering the -23 chalk. They defeated App State by 24 easily covering the -16.5 chalk. They handled Indiana by 18 at home barely covering the -17.5 chalk and defeated Kansas State and West Virginia away from Rupp this year. This is impressive. It's that chip on the shoulder of Billy Gillespie we bet on today. Sure, Kentucky was public favorites before against Tennessee State, App State and others, and they still covered. Gillespie does not call off the dogs, he knows how important it is to win and win big in Kentucky - and win on Saturday's in particular where alumni and boosters are there and he will want a big win. You can only kick a man down for so long before he rears up and wants to kick some ass and that is what Kentucky and Gillespie are doing currently. I have been hard on Gillespie and Kentucky over the past few years, but I will take it back if they can cover here. The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS as favorites of 13 points or more and the Owls of Florida Atlantic who just come off a 33 point thrashing to UAB on the road are 1-4 ATS when facing teams with a winning % of 60% or more.
