Seconded. Don't do parlays. Find value, make bet, collect winnings.

Way too many bets, and there is no need to parlay. You just make your odds longer. The only parlays I even consider are 2 fight parlays with favorites.

With all those bets you are betting against yourself. You basically wasted 45 dollars. The only one that has a chance is teh last one, but you will only win 100... you would be better off just putting yoru $45 on a -200 underdog.

He's right, I've lost more than I've won on parlays for sure. I still do some occasionally just for fun, but that's it. It definitely shouldn't be the core of your betting strategy.

By the way, you gotta lose the ALL CAPS, dude.

Welcome to the forum man.

I agree, parlays are for fun bro, leave them at that.

Just follow these guys advise, they are quite good at what they do.

Yeah, a unit is essentially the basic element of your bankroll, like you're core bet. So if someone's unit is $20 and they say they bet 2.5 units then they bet $50.

for me my unit is 100 dollars if it said 5 units to win 2.5 units it would mean I have 500 to win 250 on a favorite that is -250

I unit is just a percent of your bankroll usually 2.5% or 5% of the money you have to wager with ::handshake::

I use to do parlays alot but then I started seeing I was hitting 2 of 4 and 3 of 4 fights .I was losing money but winning more fights than I was losing .So I started betting single fights and winning money.

I say if you are winning money with parlays do them but if you see you are winning 3 out 5 fights start betting them individually.

Welcome man if you have any questions the people around here will be glad to help ::handshake::

When you gonna move up, brother?

With that said, I'm not rich like Zak. I only use a $20 unit.

So have you just built your bankroll up over the years to that level or are you able to do that because you make more money now in other endeavors?

This.

I've only had one winning season in the last three. I just make more money now than I did 7 years ago

When I can start to set my own lines prior to seeing the Vegas lines :)

Eventually I will... I feel like I'm studying for exams by reading and watching your guys' analysis... then I find a few events and practice what I've been studying... :)

Speaking of P, did he just decide to stop writing picks?

Speaking of P, did he just decide to stop writing picks?

Sure as hell seems like it. He hasn't posted in the forum in forever either, and his Twitter hasn't been updated since Dec. 30.

Maybe he got sick of all the criticism. From what I hear though, he hasn't made money (at least in regard to his public picks) in, like, a year. That definitely raised my eyebrows.

I never thought he was that impressive, as far as picking fights. He definately knows his stuff, gambling-wise though.

I read his MMA wagrering guide often, its like my cliff's notes.

by the way, here it is:

He's still alive. He can be spotted arguing with trolls regularly on twoplustwo.

yes single bets. parlays are dead money. and yes vary your bet size. on how sure and how much info you can gather on a fight. try to not get involved with betting on your favorite fighters. sometimes you can get caught up in your fandom and overvalue someone just bc you are a fan. Dont get discouraged w/building you roll slowly. This is sports gambling, we are set up to lose. This takes time to show good profit. its all about +EV
