Not bad in the Dan Severn look-a-like department, but he still doesn't beat Don Frye or Freddie Mercury.

SALTER fluked out!
JASON MACDONALD VS. JOHN SALTER
Round 1 - Referee Dan Miragliotta is in the cage for the evening's first preliminary card fight. A touch of gloves gets us underway in Montreal. MacDonald paws a jab. Salter rushes forward with a combo, but MacDonald retreats. The pair moves into the clinch, and Salter pushes MacDonald to the cage with underhooks. Knees traded inside, but Salter keeps the action against the cage. Salter finally backs away from the stalemate. MacDonald lands a low kick. Into the clinch again. Salter presses MacDonald to the cage, and we're two minutes in. Salter has underhooks again, but he's unable to take advantage of it. Miragliotta calls for a restart after a brief stalemate. MacDonald lands a high kick and tries to pounce, but he slips to guard and grabs a guillotine. He quickly lets go, and Salter sets up on top. Miragliotta rushes in quickly to stop the fight. Confusion at first, but replays show MacDonald's leg buckled under him grotesquely on the fall to the floor, and his ankle is broken.
John Salter def. Jason MacDonald via TKO (injury) - Round 1, 2:42.

R1 – Beltran starts swinging right away, not landing much of note, but he does a good job fending off Hague’s early takedown attempts. A couple minutes in and Beltran lands a punch combination that gets Hague’s attention. He again defends the takedown and unloads on Hague, visibly hurting the Canadian. Hague keeps looking for the takedown, but Beltran keeps rocking him with punches, bloodying the bigger man’s nose. Hague finally manages to strike back with a big left hook that hurt Beltran, who slows for a few seconds, but then starts firing back, landing punch combinations as both fighters are starting to look a little tired.
MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 for Beltran
R2 – Beltran comes out firing again, but it’s Hague that lands the first big blows. Beltran quickly recovers and starts firing back, staying much busier with his striking than Hague. Hague catches Beltran again and the two go toe-to-toe, Hague seemingly given up on the takedown. Hague is breathing heavily, his mouth wide open now. Beltran catches him with a solid uppercut, but doesn’t follow up. Hague appears to have more power in his punches than Beltran, but Beltran is moving better and landing many more punches.

I knew the knees would be Hendricks' demise. I knew it.
R1 – The two start off trading punches and kicks, but Hendricks quickly reverts to his roots and wrestles Grant to the ground. Grant manages to get back to his feet fairly quickly, but eats a heavy punch from Hendricks on the way up. They trade a few punches and kicks before Grant lands a solid knee to the face as Hendricks shoots in. They separate again and start trading blows, Grant looking good with his kicks until he lands a low blow, Hendricks falling to his knees. Hendricks is ready to go again quickly and lands a good punch combination, but eats several knees to the body. They trade blows for a time, Grant doing a good job keeping Hendricks at the sharp end of his punches and knees. Hendricks manages another takedown towards the end of the round, but Grant is quickly up and firing away.

LMAO at Belcher callin out Anderson.
I'm glad Belcher called out Anderson. Seeing Anderson with that belt any longer will make me sick.
I don't see how Belcher calling out Anderson would reduce the time Anderson has with the belt.
What is has to do with is that I hope ANYONE beats Silva.
Shit stoppage Dan.
Those last 30 punchers were bombs
Had it went to the cards Kimbo was up 20-17 at the time

Yeah it could've been stopped earlier, but then when he went back to punching it was just pattycake.
BOL. Yeah, I give Kimbo props though. Those two slams in the opening seconds were fuckin' NASTY. Some serious retard strength there, but I think they may have sapped Kimbo to do them. Getting his leg kicked off didn't help either.
Chasing time
Stout -190 to win 1 unit
Catch up time for the bad Kimbo bet.
This** better work because my last idea is Machida
edit this not these

The slams were a bad idea by Kimbo.Great to watch but take too much energy.
I really thought he'd take Matt down like he did in the first the whole fight. He should have never stood and took those leg kicks .
I was wrong
Good call Ludo and Zak ::handshake::

Interesting: one judge, Pasquale Procopio, gave the first round to Kimbo Slice, 10-9

To be honest, I didnt have a problem with Kimbo taking round 1. Could have went either way. I know kimbo didnt do shit with the takedowns, but he got them, and kept Mitrione there for the first half of the round. Mitrione definatley took the 2nd half of the round.
I scored it for Mitrione, but I wouldnt have been too mad if Kimbo was given the round by the judges.

Shogun's win does more for the division... I thought Machida would win, but I like both guys and Shogun went at it with reckless abandon.
Plus I like him because he's sort of fat.

Hell yea! Mitrione and Belcher were locks to me. I only put money on Shogun because of the MItrione and Belcher wins.
Lets now start the official ESPN fade thread.
ESPN:
Machida is great,Sho Gun's knee is bad =Sho Gun destroys Machida
Trust me ESPN is always wrong we fade them alot in football. If they talk a team up all week its a automatic fade
I dunno wtf Rogan said. I was too busy squealing like a little girl
You bet Sho Gun or just that big of a fan?
Dude I've got like 3 Shogun fatheads.
Good god Goulet's chin is terrible.
I wouldn't say his takedown defense is all that bad. Don't forget Machida is a Blackbelt in Judo and Sumo. The important thing is he couldn't do jack shit to Shogun once he did have him down. I don't think Shogun is too worried about being taken down because of the fact that his ground game is so dangerous. Before he became known as a striker Shogun was winning fights with some nasty ass leglocks and shit. Plus he swept Machida to get back onto his feet.
