So, is this the official excuse we're going with?

Is it safe to say the win streak(22 fights now) is still intact?

Nah, not a 22 fight win streak, just a bunch of no contests. . .

^^^^ LOL

I genuinely feel bad for you guys on that one. Who knew Edgar was going to win? I mean, I had a little money on him, but I honestly expected it to evaporate.

I was going to play on him for 2 units. The saving grace, If you can call it that, was playin the parlay instead. It saved me a couple hundred bucks.

Oh well, water under the bridge. I won a pretty good amount betting other sports the last few weeks, so Im not too mad about it now.

Ill be betting more fights though fo sho. I got a lot of ground to make up.

I cant listen to the video right now (thats for posting it), but I hope they do a rematch. The fight was hella close.

Set up BJ/Edgar winner vs Maynard/Florini winner.

If it's true then it's fair. The fight was incredibly close. Razor thin. And BJ is a legend, so he deserves the opportunity to do his thing.

Personally, I think I'd like to see Edgar/Maynard and, if Frankie wins, then Edgar/Kenflo. Then BJ can get his shot. But that would put a rematch kind of far off into the future.

The antibiotics/sick thing kind of makes sense in retrospect, everyone was saying how he didn't look right even at weigh ins. Then he was sluggish halfway through the fight where in the fourth round he kicked it into high gear against Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez. This time around he looked softer, seemed to be slow as each round went on, but still made for a close fight.

Either way though I'll be on Penn in the rematch, I don't think his odds will be quite so astronomical this time around(hopefully)

I think he looked like shit because Frankie made him fight his fight, and was kept off balance the entire time. Plus his ego got in the way of him trying anything else.

I see this is going to likely be exacerbated to the nth degree. Pretty soon we'll go from him having the sniffles to it being a brain infection and blindness in one eye. The wrap on his knee will become a fully torn ACL and MCL. Edgar was probably on steroids, dipped in grease, and broke Penn's rib as well.

The funniest part is nearly everyone was waiting for the excuse. And sure enough...

I do think he deserves a rematch though. He still won the fight, and if not it was close enough to cause doubt. If Shogun gets a rematch, you have to give Penn one also.
