Keeping with their crusade against internet pirates, Zuffa, LLC has taken aim at an internet giant for aiding in the illegal distribution of UFC and WEC events.

ChillingEffects.com recently got their hands on a cease-and-desist letter sent from Zuffa, LLC to internet cornerstone Google.com; the exceedingly popular search engine and multinational corporation. The letter insists that Google stop aiding in the distribution of illegally obtained, copyrighted material by removing from their search results any website carrying video footage, images, artwork, etc. attributable to Zuffa, LLC or any of its subsidiary companies that they have not been officially granted the right to use.

A complete list of "infringing urls" was provided in the letter, to which Google has yet to publicly respond.

A scan of the letter is shown below, with the exception of the infringing urls list.

The original C&D order has a great list of "infringing" websites. Might come in handy. ::thumbup::

LOL wow, I posted about this in OT like 8 seconds ago.

And they aren't 'taking on Google'. Google's policy is they have to give the exact link in order for them to remove it.

Also, here's even more links.

Well the letter says:

"Zuffa, LLC hereby demands that Google promptly remove and disable the links
to all unauthorized copies of works whose copyrights are owned by Zuffa, LLC
of which it is aware, including the infringing files identified in this
email."

If I read that correctly, they want Google to remove ALL such links . . . not just the ones in their specified list.

If that's correct, I think Google's going to tell them to go to hell. Or at least I hope so.

Pretty much.

Here's an article on MMAPayout that tries to explain it a bit more indepth.
