Today's Winner...
15 Dime play on the Chargers over the Broncos. Curreantly the Chargers are anywhere from 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 point favoorites, with - 9 being the most domineant number.

I'm not buying into Denver's blowout of Kansas City last week. One big win doesn't erase the 4 straight losses SUATS they had before that.True, it was an impressive display, but repeating that effort tonight is going to be A LOT easier said than done.

Kansas City's defense was nothing special, ranked 21st in total defense, and 25th against the pass. The Chargers, who are # 1 overall in total defense AND # 1 overall against the pass in the NFL, allowing only 185 passing yards/game this season! KC has allowed 16 TDs with 7 picks this season. The Bolts have allowed half that many touchdown (8 TDs) with one more pick. In other words, the Chiefs were ripe for the picking vs a great Broncos passing attack. But the same CANNOT be said for Chargers, who've also notched 7 more sacks on the year (27 to 20 for KC). This is a completely different match up for Denver, and when you factor in the bye week it only gets more difficult.

San Diego's vaunted defense is even better at home, and their 3-1 mark ATS at Qualcomm only strengthens my argument. Chargers are also 17-10-1 ATS as a home favorite under coach Turner. The Broncos are just 1-3 ATS this season as a road dog, including their most recent loss at San Fran Oct 31st.

The thing to consider is the Chargers passing attack, and specifically Rivers penchant for evicerating this Broncos secondary. By now you've probably read this stat somewhere, but in 8 career games against Denver, Rivers posts a red-hot 117 passer rating (14 TDs to just 3 INTs)! Broncos D has been strong against the pass this season, BUT we all saw what Cassel did to them last week (469 yards, 4 TDs, no picks)... Don't tell me Rivers isn't going to have a huge game tonight! Lay it with the Chargers over the Broncos Monday.

Monday 32-3 Power System play In NFL Action that dates to 1980 + NBA Dominator System side. NBA 19-7 This year and combined football 29 games over .500. Monday night Football has Cashed last 3 weeks. Radio Show Free play at 7:45 eastern listen online at 88.9 wsia.fm. Free Monday night total below.

On Monday the Free play is on the Under in the Monday night football game between Denver and San Diego. Rotation numbers 437/438 at 8:35 eastern. While there are no solid systems in this one to warrant a late phone play, there are a couple of solid team angles that point to the under. Denver gas played under 13 of 14 times on the road off a divisional win and the Chargers have played under 9 of 11 times at home when off back to back ats wins. The total is sitting at 50 so it may be a good lean towards the under here tonight. On Monday I have a 32-3 Rare Power system that dates to 1980 in this game. I also have another solid NBA Dominator system side. . I will be in studio for the Monday night radio show at 7:45 eastern. You can listen online at 88.9 wsia.fm. I will have another solid free play on he show. For tonight take the Under in the Monday night football game. BOL GC

2* Clemson / Seton Hall Over 131

These two are playing their 3rd game in 4 days down in the Virgin Islands and both played tough defensive teams yesterday and lost close games. Now they get to bounce back against a team that isn't afraid to run.

Clemson lost 61-60 to ODU and they were led by point guard Demontez Stitt, who was able to put up 27 points. Seton Hall lost 57-52 to Xavier. Let's look at games before that:

Clemson
beat LB State 69-55
beat Wofford 78-70
beat W Car 87-64

Seton Hall
beat AL 83-78
beat Cornell 92-68

The Tigers get points from Stitt, Smith, Grant, Young, Booker and Jennings, whille the Pirates rely on Hazell, Pope, Theodore and Robinson.

Seton Hall averages 71-66 (138) and the Tigers 73.5-62.5 (136). Both average over 70 per game and we have a chance for late 3's and free throws in a game where Clemson is favored by 3. Thankfully, Clemson is usually a bad free throw shooting team but have some decent guys from the line. I think we see a game in the 70-66 range for 136 points.

KEVIN ROGERS

T'Wolves at Thunder
Pick: T'Wolves +9.5

The Wolves have been a solid play as a road underdog lately, covering four straight games on the highway, as Minnesota battles Oklahoma City. The Thunder is dinged up at the moment with Kevin Durant and Jeff Green each missing road wins over the Celtics and Bucks. Both young stars are questionable for tonight's game, as OKC is just 2-5 ATS as a home favorite. Minnesota can hang within this number on the road.

4* KENTUCKY

We can understand the markets flocking to Oklahoma this morning, based on a line that looks high based on historical precedents. But we believe they are wrong.

The Sooners are a mess. Just one season removed from believing the start of something special was underway, with talents like Willie Warren, Tiny Gallon, Tommy Mason-Griffin, and Tony Crocker, they are starting all over again, and it is not like the parade of early departures from the previous group left a base to work from. It was a disaster of a season in which the collective egos prevented any kind of team development, and a program accustomed to post-season play suffered through a 13-18 campaign and a first-round exit in the Big 12 tourney. As bad as that was, it only gets worse here. There are eight new faces on the roster (it would have been nine, but 6-11 Abdul Ahmed has already left the team), and not all bring the kind of talent we are accustomed to seeing in Oklahoma uniforms, with Jeff Capel forced to reach a bit to fill things out, including bringing in a couple of JuCo’s. It means a lack of talent, chemistry and depth, and the fact that they had to go to O.T. at home to escape past lowly North Carolina Central last week, with the starters playing 196 of the 225 floor minutes, pretty much defines where they are at. And it took a late triple by Steven Pledger to get that one to the extra period. There is not much ability to play well well here, and there is also a lack of urgency, which is what happens when you have precious little veteran leadership to build around.

Against another opponent we might think that Kentucky is too young to trust, but not in this matchup. First note that despite having all of those FR on the court, the Wildcats got a chance to develop ahead of schedule, having an exemption for a pre-season trip to Canada in which they not only played three games, but John Calipari also squeezed 17 practices into the allotted 10 days. And it was a poised and savvy team that whipped Portland 79-48 in a hostile environment Friday night, an excellent tune-up for this event, committing only 11 TO’s, allowing just 30.5 percent shooting, and winning the boards 37-26. They bring a better player at every starting position, along with more size, athleticism and depth, and we will call for them to win going away against the Sooners, who are not here to compete for the scoreboard results, but to just slowly find ways to put their limited pieces together.

MONDAY'S ACTION

40 Dime NFL selection on the Chargers minus the points at home against Denver. San Diego is laying between 9 and 9½ points in this contest, with the number trending down from high of 10 earlier in the week. Be sure to shop around and get the best value possible, and if you start to see this line climb to 10 in some spots, you must get your wager in to ensure you do no worse than 9½.

CHARGERS

Last Oct. 19, on a Monday night, the Broncos went to San Diego with a 5-0 SU and ATS record and – as a 3½-point underdog – upset the Chargers 34-23, then embarked on their bye week. Since returning from that bye, Denver has played 19 games and won exactly five times. During this stretch, the Broncos are also just 6-13 ATS, including a 32-3 home loss to the Chargers as a 6½-point underdog.

In fact, the Chargers are 6-2 SU and 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in this rivalry, and all six wins were absolute blowouts: 35-27, 48-20, 41-3, 23-3, 52-21 and 32-3. Going back to the start of the 2004 series, the Broncos have just two spread-covers in 12 clashes with the Bolts.

True, Denver is coming off an impressive 49-29 whipping of the Chiefs as a one-point home underdog, snapping an 0-4 SU and ATS slump. However, since beating San Diego last year to run their record to 5-0, the Broncos have won and covered in consecutive games just once (and they had 10 days off between those two particular games).

Meanwhile, the Chargers come out of their bye week riding their first two-game winning streak of the season, beating the Titans 33-25 at home and the Texans 29-23 on the road. At home this year, the Chargers are 3-1 SU and ATS, with the only loss being a 23-20 setback to New England. San Diego committed four turnovers in that one and lost despite outgaining the Patriots 363-179 (Tom Brady had just 159 passing yards).

In fact, even with that loss, the Chargers at home are averaging 33 points and 429 yards per game while giving up 17.8 points and 258.2 yards per game (including just 58.5 rushing ypg). By comparison, look at Denver’s defensive numbers this season (home and road): 28 ppg, 373 total ypg, 143.1 rushing ypg (including 162.7 rushing ypg on the road). And as noted above, the Broncos have been totally unable to stop the Chargers’ offense the last four years, with San Diego scoring 35, 48, 41, 23, 38, 52, 23 and 32 points in the last eight meetings, averaging 36.5 ppg at home.

Then there’s this from the pointspread trend department: Denver is in ATS slumps of 2-8 against AFC teams, 7-18-1 versus AFC West rivals, 2-5 on the road (all as an underdog) and 1-4 following a victory. San Diego is on ATS surges of 20-6 as a home favorite of 3½ to 10 points and 5-0 in November. Also, the favorite is on a 5-1-1 ATS roll in this rivalry.

Finally, if you’re worried about this being too big of a pointspread for San Diego to cover, don’t be. And here’s why: If you go back to November 2008, the SU winner has covered the spread 34 of Denver’s last 36 contests, including all nine games this season. The SU winner is also 9-0 ATS in San Diego’s games this season and 25-4-1 ATS in its last 30 contests, and the winner has cashed at an 8-0-2 ATS clip in this rivalry the last five years (3-0 ATS when the line is nine points or higher).

Translation: The odds overwhelmingly indicate that the winner of this game will cover the number. And with the way the Broncos’ defense has been shredded this year, I cannot envision Denver winning this game. San Diego comes out of its bye, fixes its special-teams woes and rolls 41-17.
