I dont know what else you can do to Newton. They were hitting him in the backfield all game long, and he just shrugs it off and makes plays.

Alabama shut him down in the first half, then gassed out or quit.

I still think it will be a good game. I wanna see if Auburn wears down on Defense, but Oregon has no shot at stopping $cam Newton.

The read option isnt hard to stop when you have a month to prepare for it . The Buckeyes blew last year and could stop it in the Rose Bowl after a month of practice

Elbow sidelines FSU's Christian Ponder

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Florida State (No. 21 BCS, No. 20 AP) is going with backup EJ Manuel at quarterback in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game because of Christian Ponder's sore throwing elbow.

Ponder has been plagued by right elbow pain for most of the season and had fluid drained on Sunday. He warmed up with the second team Saturday and at least once clutched his elbow after a throw.

The senior has thrown for 2,038 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, leaving the Seminoles without a key offensive weapon.

Manuel, a sophomore, has played in eight games and started Florida State's win over Clemson when Ponder was sidelined

Note the time at the top. Thanks alot ESPN the game was already on 45 minutes when you posted this
