(351) CHICAGO BEARS (-4.5, ov43.0)
(352) DETROIT LIONS (+4.5, un43.0)

Take " (352) DETROIT LIONS "
I'm taking the points with the Lions on Sunday. I had the Lions on Thanksgiving Day and they looked like a solid investment until the fourth quarter collapse. I'll back them again this week with the Bears in an extremely tough spot. Chicago has played three big games in a row against the Vikings, Dolphins, and Eagles. And after this one, they'll close the season against the Patriots, Vikings, Jets, and Packers. Staying focused for a Detroit team they have owned is not going to be easy. And let's not forget that Detroit "beat" Chicago in week one if not for a literal interpretation of a rule on what looked to be a game-winning catch in the endzone. Detroit lost 19-14. That call will be on the minds of the Lions thoughout in this one. While Detroit owns a bad SU record, this is not the same ol' Lions. This year's version is younger and more athletic and they never quit. Drew Stanton will get the start this week due to injuries to Matthew Stafford and Shaun Hill, but I don't expect much of a difference on the offensive side of the football. Defensively, the Lions own a strong pass rush and I expect them to hassle Jay Cutler early and often. But most of all, we have a Detroit team that knows they can beat this team after the 19-14 loss. And we have a visitor who's in a tough scheduling spot. Detroit is in a strong 28-7 ATS situation. We play on home teams with a .250 or worse win percentage if they have lost at least three straight games, provided they're playing a team with a winning record, in the second half of the season. And finally, the Bears have covered just 7 of their last 33 December road games. I'm taking the points with the Lions on Sunday. Thanks! GL! Scott.
