Today's Winner...
50 Dime play on the Jets plus the points over the Patriots. New York is getaing 3 1/2 points pretty much everywhecre olfshore and in Vegas. Go ahead and buy the 1/2 point insurance at anywhere from 3 to 4 1/2.

Make no mistake, the public is all over the Patriots in this contest, and that alone should have their backers extremely worried. This is one of the biggest most anticipated games of the season, I know, you know it, and oddsmakers know it. Therefore, fading the public is imaediately a sound strategy here, because the action on this game will be huge, and it's all one-sided.

Both offenses have been rock-solid of late (Patriots get the slight edge), but the difference here is the Jets don't need to score as much. Why? Because they enjoy a big edge on defense. Jets have some guy named Darrelle Revis, maybe you've heard of him (sarcasm)? And coupled with a solid # 2 CB in Cromartie the Patriots receivers are going to be limited to say the least. A lot of Patriots backers are touting the Hernandez/Gronkocwski match up against the Jets linebackers, but they've been inconsistent at best, and if you think the Pats are going to win because of their TEs, then you're in for a disappointment.

And don't read too much into the Jim Leonhard injury. Yes, he made the reads for the defense, but this is a very talented group, and Ryan is one of the better defensive minds in the game. He'll have his team ready, especially with the extra time to prepare. It doesn't hurt that their expecting winds in excess of 20 mph, which should limit the deep passing game somewhat.

The biggest key/edge the Jets have is with their ground game against a soft New England rush defense, which allows 110 rushing yards/game (4.2 ypc). Ryan has been smart to conserve Tomlinson's energy by splitting carries with Green lately, and both should be fresh for this match up. As much as they've been serviclable, the New England tandem of Woodhead and Green-Ellis is going to be in for one of their toughest match ups all year, as the Jets are superb vs the run (86 ypg on just 3.4 ypc). Tom Brady can't hurt you if he's on the sideline watching the Jets move the chains.

Finally, for all of you out there fading Sanchez, remember what he did to this Patriots secondary the last time they met: 21 of 30 for 210 yards, 3 TDs and no picks. That was in Week 2, before he got game changer Santonio Holmes back, and with 299 yards or better in 3 of his L4 games, I'd say the young Pats secondary is in for trouble tonight. Based on everthing we've talked about, there's no question I'm taking the Jets plus the points (remember to buy the 1/2 point insurance as instructed above) over the Patriots Monday.

NFL
New York Jets/NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS over 44.5, 20 DIME
The Patriots are no longer the vaunted defense they once were. They are a middle-of-the-pack group at best, and in many defensive statistical categories they are ranked very close to or right at the bottom (i.e. Pass Completions Against, Passing Yards Against, 4th Quarter Scoring Against, Opponents' Yards per Play.) They win their games on the offensive side of the ball, where they rank 1st in the league in scoring. The Jets defensive unit is significantly stronger, but when they go on the road, that defense loses a lot of its luster. I expect a high scoring shootout to occur tonight in Foxboro, and a look at the recent trends backs up this prediction. Nine of the Patriots 11 games this season have soared OVER the posted total and five of their last 5 have exceeded the number. For the Jets, 8 of their 11 games this year have gone over and 5 out of their last 5 games as visitors have eclipsed the number. It should be quite the polar opposite of last night's gritty, defensive oriented matchup between Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Take the Over!

NBA
Miami Heat -5 over MILWAUKEE BUCKS, 20 DIME
The Heat appear to have finally found cohesion as they have won their last 4 SU and last 3 ATS. They outgun the Bucks in a significant way in nearly every meaningful statistical category. Five points seems like a small number in this spot. The Bucks do play outstanding defense at home, and they are coming off a win against Orlando, but I'll discard that W since the Magic were decimated by Influenza. Milwaukee is the lowest scoring team in the league, and their field goal percentage is an abysmal 40.9%. I doubt the Bucks are prepared for this thumping that is about be placed on them tonight. Lay the chalk!

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS -4 over Sacramento Kings, 20 DIME
Interesting matchup here between two horrible teams. The Clippers are starting to show bright spots however, the highest of which is the outstanding play of Blake Griffin, who's been averaging a double-double per game during his rookie season. Now with the return of veterans Baron Davis and Chris Kaman from injuries, I look for this team to be more complete and well rounded heading into the middle of the season. Before their surprising almost-upset of the Dallas Mavericks two nights ago, the Sacramento Kings had only won one of their last 13 games SU, and they hadn't covered the number in 5 consecutive games. Let's lay the wood with the Clips!

This is a good setup for the Jazz, with Memphis coming in off of a hard fought game with Denver last night and now playing their 3rd game in 4 days. Utah is off of a rare home loss which puts them in a 70% play-on situation here tonight in their next home game. Utah has dominated this series, with outright wins in 9 of the last 10 meetings, with covers, in all 10 of those matchups.

This grudge match game should be decided by QB play, as the decisions made against aggressive defenses on a Monday night will ultimately dictate the winner. Look for Tom Brady, at home, to get the job done by going to ol' reliable, Deion Branch, for a pair of scores to create separation in this victory. Take the Pats and the under in this classic game, as Mark Sanchez will take a back seat here, coming up as the subject of scrutiny Tuesday morning.

Monday night Football. New York at New England looks to be the best game all year on any day. In this piece we will delve into all the Pertinent stats associated with this game. The Free Pick in this game will Be on the Under.

On Monday night its Mayhem for sure. The Jets and Patriots may be an East Coast match up. However this game that pits to of the Best teams in the AFC will draw Plenty of attention nation wide. Both teams come in with stellar 9-2 records and both appear headed to another playoff appearance.

The Patriots are back at home off a big come from behind win on Thanks giving day in Detroit. The Jets are also off a big home win against the Bengals on Thanks giving night. Both teams are well rested for this one here with 10 full days of preparation time.

In the first game on September 19th the Jets came away with a 28-14 win as a 3 point home dog. The Jets won the battle of the stats in that game with 336 yards to 291 for New England. NYJ managed to hold the Patriots to just 52 yards rushing. On the season the Jets are averaging 360 yards on offense with 148 coming on the ground and 212 yards through the air. The Patriots are averaging 349 yards on offense, with 112 yards per game coming form their rushing attack and 236 yards per game coming from the arm of Tom Brady.

On Defense the Patriots have been susceptible this season allowing 399 yards per game. Of particular concern is their pass coverage as opposing teams have averaged 288 pass yards per game. Patriots run defense has been better but still allows 110 yards per game on the ground. The Jets have a decided edge on defense allowing 103 yards less per game than New England. The Jets run defense has allowed 86 yards per game, while their pass coverage has been superb allowing 210 yards per game. So as we can see the Jets have edges on both sides of the ball.

On Monday nights the Patriots have won three of their last four, while the Jets have dropped three of their last four. For some team specific Angles we note that the Patriots are 5-0 at home this year, and 7-1 in the month of December the past few seasons. They have out scored opposing teams by a 31-24 score here at home while averaging 384 yards on offense. The Jets are 10-5 straight up as an underdog the past few seasons including 4-0 as a road dog of 3.5 or less. They are an amazing 5-0 on the road this season winning by an average 28-17 score, and accumulating 400 yards per game on offense. In Divisional play long term the Jets are 14-2 against the point spread if they are .500 or better as a road dog and a perfect 9-0 if they are coming off a win. Coach Rex Ryan is 6-1 ats in his short coaching career as an underdog vs an AFC team if his teams record is .500 or better. The Patriots have some equally impressive angles on their side tonight. They are 9-1 ats as a home favorite of 3 or more vs a team with a win percentage of .600 or better and 11-1 ats long term in divisional play if they have revenge and their opponent is off back to back wins. Expect the winner of this game to win the AFC East this season. For free pick in this game we will back the UNDER in this game. NFL is currently 37-20 on the season and NBA is 26-11. I do have one NBA Play out of a 100% Blowout system also on the card. For the Free Play go under the total tonight. BOL GC

Game: New York Jets at New England (Monday 12/06 8:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Game Total UNDER 45 -110 (risk 4 to win 3.6)
We*had some meaningful games this week, but none bigger than this as ESPN follows one of their worst MNF matchups (Arizona-San Francisco last week) with one of the best possible matchups. The 9-2 New England Patriots host the 9-2 New York Jets in what should be a playoff atmosphere type game, played with playoff intensity. When these teams met in week two, the Jets whooped up on New England by 14 points. It was a huge win for New York who had lost their opener to Baltimore. If you recall, the talk was about how huge a disappointment the Jets were after their bad performance vs. the Ravens. In that game, they*managed just 176 total yards,*scoring only 9 points. The statement win against the Pats got them back on track. With the playoffs right around the corner and these teams locked for the AFC East lead, this game is huge for both clubs. My computer matchup for this game (NOT an official pick)*predicts a close Patriots win. The public likes the Patriots to exact revenge and get a win and cover.*I think the Pats should win this game but I think the best value lies on the UNDER. In addition to the playoff intensity (which often leads to lower-scoring games), this game has an added element that should favor the UNDER -*the weather. The game will be played with temperatures in the 20s, but more importantly, the wind is likely to be a big factor. The wind will be out of the west, which is across the field from left to right at around 20 MPH, with higher gusts. It certainly will impact the kicking game, and should make it difficult to complete long passes. The Patriots have an equalizer with a windy and cold home stadium in December games. The Pats defense in December home games the last five years has allowed just 85 points in 10 December home games. That's a ridiculous*8.5 ppg. The Jets were participants in two of those*ten games, scoring 13 total points. It's no surprise that the UNDER in the Pats December home games is 9-1. In late-season games vs. great teams (.750 or better), Bill Belichick's Patriots teams are a perfect 8-0 UNDER. Overall vs. stellar offensive teams (those scoring 24+ per game), the Pats are 30-18 UNDER in the Belichick era. This Jets team is predicated on defense, and they have started to create their own December defensive legacy, going 13-3 to the UNDER in their last 16 December games. In their last 35 games vs. superb offenses (teams scoring 27+ points per game), New York is 24-11 to the UNDER. Everything points to an UNDER here and that's what I'm playing

Selection : New York Jets

As I write this the line has been moving around from 3 point to 3.5. The over under has been all over the place as well due to the 15-20 mph winds that are expected tonight in Foxboro. Both teams enter tonight's game with 1st place on the line in the AFC East. The Jets are the dog for the only the 3rd time this year with them winning straight up in their previously two battles. The Pats on the other hand are 3-4-1 when laying the points this year and a 2-2-1 record at home while the Jets are 4-1 ATS while on the road. With the weather conditions coming into play I expect a lot of this game being won on the ground. I expect this game to be a close one and because of that Ill take the points tonight.

MONDAY'S ACTION

20 Dime NFL release on the NEW YORK JETS plus the points at New Enaland in Monday night action. New York is a 3½-point underdog across the board both here in Vegas and offshore. I doubt we'll see this pointspread move at all today, but if it does, it almost certoainly will go up to 4. Monitor the pointspread throeghout the day and make your move accordingly.

JETS

The Jets are 9-2 overall and 5-0 on the road.

The Patriots are 9-2 overall and 5-0 at home (and Hall-of-Fame QB Tom Brady has won 25 straight home games that he’s started).

So it’s easy to understand why the oddsmakers have given New England only slightly more than the token field-goal for home-field advantage – this game is a toss-up. But it’s that “slightly more” thing I want you to focus on, because this is one game where I believe the half-point is absolutely HUGE. Here’s why:

The Patriots have cashed in just two of their five home wins. One of the non-covers was against Buffalo in Week 3 (38-30 win as a 14-point chalk). The others were a come-from-behind, 23-20 overtime victory over the Ravens (New England gave three points in that one and got the push) and a lucky 31-28 win over the Colts two weeks ago (as a 4½-point favorite). Against Indy, the Patriots had a 31-14 fourth-quarter lead and nearly gave it all back; had Peyton Manning not thrown a pick in the red zone, that game – like the Baltimore contest – would’ve at least gone to overtime.

So against the two toughest opponents they’ve hosted so far, the Patriots barely held on and prevailed by a field goal both times.

Meanwhile, the Jets have won four in a row since a 9-0, post-bye-week home loss to the Packers (quite possibly the best team in the NFL), and they’re 9-1 since a season-opening 10-9 home loss to the Ravens. That includes a 28-14 rout of Brady and the Patriots in Week 2 (as a three-point ‘dog), and five straight road wins. True, the last three victories on the highway were all nail-biting, come-from-behind triumphs at Denver (24-20), Detroit (23-20 in overtime) and Cleveland (26-20 in overtime). But the bottom line is New York found a way to win each of those contests, and because of those victories, this team has a TON of confidence when playing in tight games an unwavering belief that they’re never out of a game no matter the score.

Consider this too: The Jets’ Week 2 win over the Patriots started a three-game stretch against AFC East opponents. New York went 3-0 SU and ATS, following up the 14-point New England victory with blowout road wins at Miami (31-23) and Buffalo (38-14). So in three divisional games, the Jets have outscored their rivals 97-51!

Going back to last year, the Jets are on a 9-2 ATS run on the highway, they’ve cashed in five of six as an underdog, four straight against AFC East opponents and 14 of 20 overall. Furthermore, New York is 9-4-1 ATS in its last 14 trips to New England – cashing each of the last three years – and the visitor is on an 18-7-1 ATS roll in this rivalry.

Bottom line: I’m not saying this is going to be easy for the Jets. I’m not even saying New York is going to win outright. But much like last night’s Steelers-Ravens game, this figures to be a hard-hitting, 60-minute dogfight between teams that hate each other. And must like last night’s Steelers-Ravens game, this figures to be a three-point game either way.

PAY-AFTER-YOU-WIN - 500* - NY Jets-New England OVER
Tough total tonight, but I believe that you have to stick with the "track records" of these 2 teams and play it OVER the posted total.

Yes, it is going to be very cold tonight in Foxborough, but it is hard to argur the fact the Jets have played OVER the total in 8 of their 11 games this season, and now have been OVER the total in 12 of 16 dating back to last season.

As for New England, the Patriots have been OVER the total in 10 of their last 12 games since last season!

The 2 teams combined for 42 points earlier this season at the New Meadowlands back in September, and a similar combination tonight will have us sniffing around the HIGH come the end of the contest.

Remember, both teams have been idle since Thanksgiving, so there should be plenty of "energy" on that field, and the added time should give the coordinators a little more time to come up with a wrinkle or 2 this evening.

I see this one slipping OVER the posted total late tonight.
