Thinking about Schilt/Overeem parlay

There is no way Schilt loses is there?

I was waiting for these. Im surpised Overeem is that low. I figured Schilt and overeem both would be in the -600 range. Ill probably do that parlay too.

Did some research on Kyotara... he is better than I thought. He has some quality wins and Semmy is getting old. Is that line on Schilt justified?

From what I have seen, He is a decent fighter, but he is going to be at such a disadvantage because of his size. ( 6'0 about 215lbs).

Yeah but he beat Jerome LeBanner who is 260#... He also KO's Aerts and beat Manhoef... seems like a steep price on a competent guy

Kyotaro looks to be a good fighter. Real good chin but not very fast in my opinion. One guy who did look impressive was Gokhan Saki. Dude's got amazing leg kicks and a decisive speed adv over Ghita. I dont know much at all about k1 though so I still need to do more research. Not sure if Kyotara can beat schilt tho.

That fight was actually scored a draw, then they were ordered to fight a 4th. Lebanner walked out and didnt fight, he thought he won. The fight was pretty competitve. Lebanner was stalking him for the entire fight, and it was highly competitive (I thought Lebanner won the fight) until he ran out of gas in the 3rd.

Lebanner is 260, but thats only 40lbs, and they are both about the same height, reach about the same.

Shilt will have almost a Ft on Kyotara, and about 80lbs.

And the last time Lebanner fought Semmy, he didnt make it out of the first round.

as for the Aerts and Melvin fights, i didnt see them.

From what I have read/seen, Overeem should win easy.

I have a final exam in like 7 hours online so I probably won't be watching the entire thing.

Nice. Mighty Mo got the swift beatdown.

lol, in the beginning of the broadcast, the commentators were talking about Ghita having a potential injury because he was rubbing his groin in warm ups, and Saki's line went from +130 to +105 in minutes.

Schilt is gonna kill this dude I think.

I love that K1 fights are only 9 minutes. I'm basically the Just Bleed guy when it comes to K1. Give me disgusting knockouts or go away.

Interesting that they know the judges' scores after each round.

Aerts is at +300 vs. Schilt? That sounds pretty steep. I might bet that.

12-11-2010, 04:19 AM
LOL I'm surprised Overeem came back from that. Generally if he gets blasted it's all downhill from there.

Wow, that "farewell" fight for Fujimoto was the saddest thing I've seen since the Couture/Toney fight.

Sweet, +3U on Aerts.

Good call.

Thanks. I was just surprised to see such steep odds, given their 2-2 history (with Aerts having the most recent win), and him getting the job done in less time earlier tonight, so he'd be a little fresher.

There was an awesome cut shot between those girls doing their cutesy routine switching to Overeem giving a "you gonna get raped" doom-stare.

Damn, I saw that he was +205 on Bookmaker to win the whole thing and almost bet it, but I don't fuck all about K-1 so I didn't.

Svino

I think Overeem had the easier side of the bracket. Still, grats to the 'Reem.

Mr. IWS

I was impressed with Spong. That kid looked pretty good.

Aerts looked like he had nothing left before the final.

Mr. IWS
12-11-2010, 01:43 PM
Scientist, did you wind up betting anything?

MMA_scientist
12-11-2010, 04:43 PM
^^ nah. I never did make the bet.

I just now watched it, I DVR'd it.

Overeem definitely had an easy route... the only fight he had was that fight with SPong. He was getting his ass kicked by that 2nd guy, and that first head kick was a knockdown IMO. The 2nd fight the guy was injured obviously, and Aerts blew his wad against Schilt.

That said, Overeem hits like a truck and kicks like a mule. He looked like the least skilled of the bunch, but his power is ri-donk-ulous.

Anyway, good win, and he takes away at least $400k. No wonder he doesn't want to sign with UFC.

From what I have seen, He is a decent fighter, but he is going to be at such a disadvantage because of his size. ( 6'0 about 215lbs).

This was dead on. I should have listened, once I saw them next to each other, it was obvious Schilt was going to clobber him.

zY|
12-11-2010, 06:29 PM
I don't buy into the whole "easy route" argument. Yeah the "only fight" he had was with Spong, but Spong is a beast, and that was a tough fight. Aerts only had "one fight" as well, and so did Saki. Kudos to Overeem for actually winning his fight without getting hurt. That's what a one-night tourney is about.

Mr. IWS
12-11-2010, 07:03 PM
Real Talk, Those Leg kicks Ubereem hit Saki with were fuckin vicious.
