Game: Detroit at Cleveland (7:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: Cleveland -105 (moneyline)

The oddsmakers aren't buying into the Tribe's 16-8 mark through 24 games. It seems like every year there is a surprise team in MLB, and Cleveland sure fits the bill this season. They are getting no respect vs. a disappointing Tigers team, siding below the .500 mark through their first 25 games. The Tigers have been futile on the road vs. right handers at 17-40 in their last 57. When trying to win projected high-scoring games with a total from 9-10.5 has been problematic as well, as they are 18-44 on the road to that total range.
The Tribe is feasting on right handers at home at 11-1 in their last 12. They get it done tonight.

4-Unit Play. #978. Take Under 8.5 Runs Minnesota vs. Kansas City (Friday @ 8:10pm est).

With Minnesota getting shellacked yesterday they look to bounce-back today behind Baker who has been pitching well of late. Scott has given up one run in his past 14 innings after a slow start and if the Twins are going to be significant in this league at all this year, Baker needs to have a strong season. To his credit he pitched great against Baltimore and Tampa Bay in his last two road starts. He faces Chen who comes off a rare non-quality start of late and he is typically great on the bounce-back, in particular at home. After a bad start back on April 3rd against the Angels, he reeled off three straight quality starts where he gave up 2 earned runs in 21 innings. Then, in his latest start he gave up a non-quality start to Texas on the road and I look for him to bounce-back today. Note, the Under is 4-0 for Baker when the total is set at this range and the Under is 3-1-1 for Chen after following four days of rest.
