First off, if anyone doesn't like this thread or doesn't care about flyweights, then fine, fuck you.

With that out of the way. . .

Anyone got thoughts on the tournament? I've been doing a bit of research. I think MM probably beats McCall and Benavidez beats Urushitani. Then Benavidez beats MM to become the first ever UFC flyweight champion.

Thoughts?

He won't be number one for long I suspect. I see Benavidez taking that four man tournament and the title home with him. I honestly don't think McCall gets past Mighty Mouse to be honest.

I think we'll be seeing a few other guys drop from 135 like John Dodsen, Scott Jorgensen, Kenny Florian when he gets that kyle maynard surgery done, and maybe even Mizugaki.

Flyweight Profile:

Name: Yasuhiro Urushitani
Age: 35
Height: 5’5”
Record: 19-4-6

Defining Characteristics: Well-rounded. Slanty eyes. Ranked #3 by Sherdog. Current Shooto 123 lb. champion. Impressive record. Just defended his Shooto championship by knocking a dude out with a head kick and punches.

[This is where the Urushitani vs Shojo headkick KO vid would go if the dude who posted it hadn't gotten his account deleted.)

I agree.

Dodson was actually ranked #9 at flyweight by SD before he went on TUF. Gaudinot was ranked #10. I imagine they'll both be dropping back down.

Gaudinot will be happy to get away from guys like Johnny Bedford I bet. He got straight prison raped by that dude.

^^ Bol, I got the vid from the grappling forum on SD.

I read some of that thread. SD is so damn stupid, I couldn't get past page 3. LOL at the guys getting offended at the term 'midget'. Might want to retire from the internet.
