Scott Spreitzer - MLB AFTERNOON KNOCKOUT!

Scott Spreitzer | MLB Money Line Sat, 08/04/12 - 4:05 PM
double-dime bet 970 OAK (-154) BetOnline vs 969 TOR
Analysis: I'm laying the price with the Oakland A's on Saturday afternoon. Toronto is facing their second straight "young gun" when they step in the box against A.J. Griffin. Last night the Jays were held to 1 earned run and 5 hits in 6 innings by Daniel Straily who made his MLB debut. Griffin, a righty, owns a 2.17 ERA & 0.98 WHIP in seven career starts, all coming this season. He beat the Jays on July 25, holding Toronto scoreless over 6 innings in a 16-0 Oakland win. Toronto counters with Ricky Romero. The southpaw and his team are on a 0-7 slide in his last seven starts and Romero has been pounded for 36 earned runs and 76 base runners in those outings, spanning just 34 1/3 IP. Besides the 0-7 slide with Romero on the bump, the Jays are on a 0-5 slide against righthanders in general. Meanwhile, the A's are on a 5-0 run with Griffin on the mound and they're 8-2 in their last 10 against lefties. I'm backing the Oakland A's on Saturday. Thanks! GL! Scott.

Scott Spreitzer - MLB SATURDAY RUN LINE WIPEOUT!

Scott Spreitzer | MLB RunLine Sat, 08/04/12 - 7:10 PM
double-dime bet 958 ATL -1.5 (-105) 5dimes (http://www.cappersmall.com/forums/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Faffiliates.5dimes.com%2Ftra cking%2FAffiliate.asp%3FAffID%3DAF000189%26mediaTy peID%3D220%26AffUrlID%3D229) vs 957 HOU
Analysis: I'm laying the run line with the Braves on Saturday. This won't be the first time we have played the RL against the Houston Astros. Houston enters today's game on a 3-29 slide since June 28 with the losses coming by 3.7 rpg. 21 of their last 29 losses have come by at least 2 runs after losing 4-1 in Atlanta last night. Lucas Harrell might be a better hurler playing for anyone else in the league, but it's not easy getting up for games when your team has won just three times in 37 days. It should also be noted that Harrell has been tagged for a 5.71 ERA & 1.46 WHIP on the road this season. He'll face a Braves' team that's won 31 home games this season with 24 of those coming by at least 2 runs. If you feel ATL is in a spot to win at home, laying the RL isn't a bad way to go. Atlanta is on a 15-3 RL run in their last 18 home wins. Paul Maholm makes his first start as a Brave after posting a smoking-hot 1.02 ERA & 0.91 WHIP in his last six starts with the Cubs. Maholm, a lefty, has a lifetime 1.69 ERA at Turner and he has slammed the door on the Astros in 21 career outings against them. Finally, while the Braves average 5 rpg against righthanders in 2012, the Astros are averaging just 2.55 rpg in 14 road games against lefthanders. Houston enters on a 9-46 slide on the road, overall. We will bet they lose another...by at least 2 runs in this one. I'm laying the run line with the Braves on Saturday. Thanks! GL! Scott.
