90% ATS FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BLOWOUT!

Game Date/Time: 9/7/12 8:00 pm
Our Selection: Utah St. * Opponent: Utah * Line: +7.5 * Rating: Opinion
Analysis: At 8 pm, on Friday night, our selection is on the Utah St. Aggies + the points over Utah. For a rivalry series, this "Beehive State" battle hasn't been much of one. Utah's won 12 straight since the Aggies' last win in 1997 (by an average margin of 38-7), and 20 of the last 22. But things should change this season. For one thing, Utah State, which has always been an underdog vs. Utah since it came on the board, has never been THIS SMALL of an underdog. In all but one of the previous 11 meetings, the Aggies have been double-digit dogs. Now, off their first winning season and bowl appearance in 14 years, they're catching around a touchdown, so this game is expected to be competitive. Also, over the last 32 years, college football road favorites of less than 17 points (or PK) have been dismal in their 2nd game of the season, if it's their first true road game, and they're matched up against a non-conference foe, as they've covered just 36% of the time. Finally, Utah is an awful 19-44 ATS since November 1994 as a favorite priced from -3 to -11 points, including 2-18 ATS vs. .560 (or better) foes. Take Utah St.

86% FRIDAY MLB ROADKILL WINNER!
Game Date/Time: 9/7/12 8:10 pm
Our Selection: Twins * Opponent: Indians * Line: -128 * Rating: 3*
Analysis: At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Twins over the Cleveland Indians. Still looking for his first Major League victory, Minnesota lefthander Liam Hendriks takes the mound for his 12th start of the season. Hendriks just can't catch a break, but perhaps tonight will be the night when he breaks through. Hendriks pitched a complete-game gem two starts back, but took a loss because a guy by the name of King Felix Hernandez pitched yet another shutout for Seattle who beat Hendriks and the Twins 1-0. Hendriks regressed in his last start, but that was on the road and Hendriks is back home to face a Cleveland team that has been struggling lately, going 4-17 in their last 21 games and 3-18 in their last 21 road games. The Tribe is 1-7 in the last eight meetings with Minnesota. Take the Twins.

MLB DIVISION TOTAL OF THE YEAR!
Game Date/Time: 9/7/12 8:10 pm
Our Selection: Royals/White Sox 'over' * Line: 8.5 * Rating: 4*
Analysis: At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox 'over' the total. The White Sox were hoping that they had what it would take to cure lefthander Francisco Liriano from the wildness that has hampered his pitching performances over the past two seasons. And in fact, in the beginning of his tenure in Chicago which began about a month ago, Liriano looked like he might have improved on his wildness as in two of his first four starts with the Sox, Liriano walked just a single batter. But in his last three starts, Liriano is up to his old tricks, issuing 14 walks in just 15 innings and now his walk rate with his new team is higher (5.8 per nine innings) than it was with the Twins (5.0). He'll try again tonight against the Royals and normally that might be good news, but the September 2012 version of this team has been scoring runs in bunches as Kansas City's offense has plated 33 runs in its last six games. Righthander Luis Mendoza has struggled for the Royals this season with a 4.48 ERA and he is 0-1 with a 6.28 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in his last three starts. The over is 4-0-2 in the Royals last six games. Take the 'over.'

Milwaukee vs. St. Louis - September 7, 2012 - 8:15 PM

Pick: Your pick will be graded at hilton @ -130 St. Louis
Expert: Larry Ness
Evaluation: September 7, 2012 - 8:15 PM
Reason For Pick:
My 10* LEGEND Play is on the StL Cardinals at 8:15 ET.
The Brewers and Cardinals met in last year’s NLCS with the Cards advancing to the World Series, where they beat the Rangers. There will be no postseason for the Brewers in 2012 (despite a recent 13-4 surge) but the Cardinals are in an excellent position to return as one of the NL’s two wild cards. These teams open a three-game series tonight at Busch with the Cards just percentage points behind the Braves for the top wild card spot and 1 1/2 games clear of both the Dodgers and Pirates for this year’s new “second” wild card. Each team will turn to its staff ace Friday night with Yovani Gallardo squaring off against Kyle Lohse and both coming off poor outings. Gallardo allowed seven ERs and a season-high 11 hits in 4.2 innings of a 12-8 win at Pittsburgh on Sunday. He had allowed just nine ERs in winning his previous six starts, posting a 1.90 ERA. As for Kyle Lohse, he was knocked around for eight runs (five earned) on nine hits in 5.2 innings Saturday in Washington before the Cardinals rallied for a 10-9 victory to keep him unbeaten in 14 starts (team is 10-4). Lohse has really been terrific in 2012., as he enters 14-2 with a 2.81 ERA in his 28 starts (team is 19-9). That said, here’s why I like the Cards so much in this one. First of all, the Cards have had little trouble with the Brewers in 2012, winning EIGHT of 12 meetings, including taking FIVE of six here at home. The Brewers have been held to just 2.8 RPG in the season series, which is a far cry from the 6.4 RPG they’ve averaged in their recent 13-4 spurt. Then we have Gallardo’s career efforts vs St Louis. He’s made two starts vs the Cardinals in 2012, allowing six ERs in 3.2 innings of an 11-5 loss on opening day and was then shelled for a season-worst eight ERs in just two innings of a 13-1 defeat in St Louis on April 27. That’s a 22.24 ERA and what’s even more scary for Brewers fans, it’s NOT surprising. Gallardo owns a career record of 67-42 (.610) with a 3.66 ERA but is 1-10 when starting against the Cardinals with an ERA of 7.06 and a WHIP of 1.624. His team's record is 2-12 in 14 starts, including the postseason. Are we supposed to buy into the idea that things will be different for Gallardo tonight? I’m sure not, especially with Lohse on the mound for the Cards here at Busch, where he’s 7-1 with a 2.23 ERA in 13 starts this season (team is 10-3).
