Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos travel to Atlanta to battle the Falcons in the Georgia Dome. Everything written and talked about is all about Peyton Manning this and Manning that. Last week, Manning finished the game completing 19/26 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns leading the Broncos to a win and NBC to a record night of ratings for a Sunday Night Football game watched by over 27.5 million viewers.
If you want to pull for the underdog hero then you will pay for the inflated pointspreads. Believe me when I tell you that nobody spots an underdog as well as Wayne Root and his cash is on the Falcons tonight. Matt Ryan may provoke early MVP whispers if he continues orchestrating this big play offense the way he did on the road to open the season. Ryan threw for 299 yards with 23/31 passes completed and 3 touchdowns. The combination of Roddy White and Julio Jones at the wide receiver positions showed to be lethal with each having 6 receptions. TE Tony Gonzalez showed his age is nothing but a number after catching 5 passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. An asset the Falcons offense is just now showcasing that QB Matt Ryan may come to use a lot is RB Jacquizz Rodgers. Additionally, the Falcons defense is underrated overall. The Bronco defense may not have the emotions afforded them last week at Mile High and the home team's fan may be that 12 man that Denver had last week. This should be hard fought as Manning is very smart and cagey but in the end, Matt Ryan comes to age and usually has a huge game at home!
