Analysis: I'm laying the price with Arizona on Monday. The D-backs are on a 19-7 run against Colorado, including a 4-game win streak at Coors Field. They will send their personal "road warrior" to the mound on Monday when Trevor Cahill takes the bump. The righthander owns a 2.91 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a .210 BAA in 15 road starts this season and he's been on top of his game in his last three starts, overall. Cahill has strung together seven straight starts without allowing a home run, spanning 40 innings of work. He owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and .209 BAA in two starts at Coors Field this season and his team has won each of his last four starts, overall. Tyler Chatwood has been pounded in his last seven appearances for the Rockies, saddled with a 7.15 ERA & 1.95 WHIP. His team is on a 1-11 slide in division matchups and they've lost five straight home games, overall. Finally, the D-backs are on an 11-1 run against teams with a sub-.400 record and they're 6-0 on the road against teams with a losing record. I'm backing the Diamondbacks on Monday night.

Analysis: Green Bay (-3) at Seattle 8:35 ET ESPN 2* MNF Save your Week!! Seattle (+3) Throwing the football well is not always the answer in the NFL. Just ask our number 1 selection of Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers threw for 379 yards, but couldn’t control the clock with a running game (only 54 yards) with a 31-21 4th quarter lead. Thus the selection of Green Bay with QB Rogers vs. Seattle rookie QB Wilson is a bit tainted. Besides, Seattle has the pass rush and secondary to diffuse the Green Bay aerial attack. Overland it is no comparison. Seattle has outrushed their 1st two opponents 149-46. Green Bay has been outrushed 140-76. It has been 29 games since the Packers fielded a 100 yard runner. The 18-8 ATS recent mark of Green Bay and their big reputation has led to their favoritism on the road. But that would be an enormous risk to back them tonight on a field where Seattle HC Carroll is 13-5 ATS 2+Y. Seattle has won 5 straight and their home victories last season were well over 10PPG. At the loudest home field in the NFL, this is a~ very live MNF home dog.

Green Bay allowed over 6 yards per play last season, but the Packers’ defense has looked very good the first two weeks while yielding just 4.7 yppl to the Niners and Bears. Seattle’s offense, meanwhile, has managed just 4.3 yppl in their two games and they’ll probably struggle to move the ball consistently in this game. The Seahawks do have a good defense, however, as that unit has surrendered just 4.9 yppl and held a very good Cowboys’ attack to a sub-par 5.3 yppl and just 7 points in a win here last week. Green Bay’s offense hasn’t exhibited the potency that we’ve become accustomed to, as the Packers have averaged only 5.2 yppl. Part of that is because they’ve played two good defensive teams in San Francisco and Chicago, but that number is still much lower than expected even after compensating for strength of opponent. The offensive line has been a problem, as Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 8 times in two games, and Seattle’s defensive backs are good enough to cover the Packers’ receivers if Rodgers doesn’t have a lot of time to throw. My ratings project just 43 points in this game and this game applies to two very good early season Under situations – a 46-13 Under situation and a 59-21 Under situation. The record is now 19-4 Under when both apply to the same game, as those two angles had the Giants-Panthers Under on Thursday night. I’ll go UNDER 45 points or higher in a 2-Star Best Bet.
