4-STAR CLEVELAND over Chicago - The wind is out of the sails of the White Sox after being eliminated last night despite a big win in Cleveland. They are scheduled to have Jake Peavy throw here, though we would not be surprised if he was pulled from the start. Either way there will be value on this play as Peavy has worn down in the stretch run after throwing 100 more innings then any of his past three seasons and Chicago will likely rest many starters. Grab the value on this play while you can.

Chicago won big in last night's game while they were still mathematically alive, 11-0. The White Sox are 2-6 since April 24, 2012 after shutting out their opponent for a net profit of $510 when playing against.
The Indians had just two hits in the contest. The White Sox are 2-7 since April 24, 2012 when playing a night game after a win in which they allowed 6 or fewer hits in a night game for a net profit of $650 when playing against.
Peavy did pitch better in his last outing, giving up two runs in 7.1 innings against Tampa Bay. The White Sox are 1-11 since June 13, 2012 when Jake Peavy starts after a quality start for a net profit of $1200 when playing against.
He allowed four hits and a walk in that 3-2 loss. The White Sox are 0-6 since June 19, 2012 when Jake Peavy starts after he had a WHIP of less than one his last start for a net profit of $785 when playing against.
It was the second straight start from Peavy they've lost. The Indians are 16-6 since July 20, 2010 when Justin Masterson starts vs a team that lost their starters last two starts for a net profit of $1319.
Masterson meanwhile threw 109 pitches in just 4.2 innings last start in a 6-4 victory over Chicago. The Indians are 10-1 since April 15, 2011 when Justin Masterson starts at home after throwing more than 100 pitches on the road for a net profit of $957. CLEVELAND 5, Chicago 3

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees - YANKEES -1.5 (+111)
Listed Pitchers: Lester vs Phelps
(Note: I'm risking 2.00 units to win 2.22 units)

With the Yankees 10-2 win over Boston lsat night and Baltimore loss they can clinch the AL East by winning out their final two games against the Red Sox. Boston has lost 6 straight games and 10 of their last 11 games. Over there 6 game losing skid they have scored just 13 runs (2.17 runs per game). The Yankees have scored 19 runs over their last 2 games alone, and 8+ runs in 4 of their last 6 (which they are 4-2 in). On the mound for Boston tonight is Jon Lester who is 9-14 on the season with a 4.94 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and .270 opponents batting average. He is 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA vs New York this year. Take note that the Red Sox are just 13-19 in games he has started this sesason. New York will turn to David Phelps to make a start tonight. He is 4-4 on the season with 3.34 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and .226 opponents batting average split between time as a starter and a reliever. As a starter he is 2-2 with a 3.81 ERA, which included a September 12th start in Boston where he went 5.2 innings giving up just 1 earned run. Note that the Red Sox are an awful 16-40 in their last 56 overall, 7-19 in their last 26 road games, and 7-21 in their last 28 games following a loss. The Yankees are 8-1 in their last 9 home games, 12-4 in their last 16 overall, and 8-2 in their last 10 divisional games. This Boston team has scored 3 or fewer runs in 8 of their last 9 games, and that won't be enough against this Yankees team that has hot bats lately. Take New York by 2+.
