The BYU Cougars try making a statement Friday on ESPN against the Utah State Aggies at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Utah State Aggies and Brigham Young Cougars hook up in Provo with state bragging rights on the line. Earlier this season USU beat Utah 27-20 in overtime while BYU fell to the Utes 24-21 in Salt Lake City.
The Cougs bounced back to nearly defeat 3-1, 1-0 Boise State on the Blue Field. Brigham Young then trounced Hawaii at home 47-0. The Cougars were 6-1 in Provo last year just losing the opener to Utah 54-10. BYU won two of their six other contests by a possession and last two by identical 42-7 scores. The Aggies, a 27-24 loser last season to the Cougs at LaVell Edwards Stadium, get rolled.
