Should be getting lines here....let's look at these fights. Have to look more at Mello, but I think Lowe may be worth a bet if the line is right.

JZ Calvacante will be overvalued probably.

Gerald Harris will probably win.

Ronys Torres will probably win.

Spong is making his MMA debut. Will Bartlett be able to take him down?

Miguel Torres will be -500 and I don't even know who the other guy is.

Anthony Johnson should beat Linderman...don't think Linderman will be able to work his usual game.

I'll bet Devin "I am a rapist" Cole if the price is right.

I guess if I knew Harris was going to use his wrestling and isn't going to be all tentative and shit, I would want to bet him. But it really does not matter, because Sportsbook is the only book with the lines for the preliminary fights.

I saw a picture of Torres after weigh ins eating dinner with a bunch of Mexicans, and I didn't see any Tri Star guys (mainly Zahabi) so I went to see if he is still there... I found this:

After spending six months out of the year traveling to different gyms, Torres said he's now rooted to his longtime home in Hammond, Ind., where he owns a successful MMA gym. He plans to fly in sparring partners from the famed Tristar Gym and Jaco Hybrid Training Center, where he's spent much mat time, but he said he wants to be closer to his 5-year-old daughter.

That might be a good thing against a guy like Moraes. When he was with Zahabi, he was very tentative/methodical and it honestly didn't look right for him. From what I have seen from Moraes, Torres being tentative on the feet and trying to out technique a guy like Moraes might not be a good thing. Moraes looks pretty sharp on the feet, is aggressive, and has some power. However, if Torres can get this to the mat, he will be at a big advantage in my opinion. If Torres hangs back, there is a good shot he gets blitzed and ends up on the wrong side of a TKO.

Overall, I think Torres will have a slight edge on the feet technically, but Moraes has a legit shot at getting the upset there. However, Torres is at big advantage on the mat, and if he can work from the top, he should probably get the submission win. I am not sure if Torres can get him to the mat with his takedowns, but Moraes throws lots of kicks, as well as flashy spinning kicks that Torres might be able to get a hold of and wrap him up.

I think Torres wins, but I don't want to take him at -270 in this spot. Lots of question marks surrounding him, and I have been burned in the past taking an ex UFC fighter in a smaller organization.

"I'm going to stand with this guy," Torres on Thursday told MMAjunkie.com Radio (http://www.mmajunkie.com/radio) (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "I'm going to fight smart. I just can't run and try the takedown. He knows I'm going to try to bring the fight to the ground. But for sure, I'm going to stand with him and engage him standing.

"(I'm going to be) a lot smarter than my last fight. I'm not going to bring out the old, crazy Miguel Torres. I've trained with him before, so I know where he's dangerous. So I've just got to avoid those things and be make him be impatient and press forward. Then he makes mistakes that way."

I don't know. I probably should though. I really only use 5 dimes. My $ at Bookmaker is all tied up on Chris Weidman right now. I guess if I fund another book it will be Sportsbook because they offer free payouts monthly...fuck that $65 fee or whatever from Bookmaker.

I might go small on a black power parlay of Harris/Anthony Johnson.

Arlovski might be a decent bet, -210 now. Would rather throw him in a parlay though. I don't think Devin Cole is going to KO him or get him down for any significant amount of time. How did Arlovski do in the Sylvia fight fairly recently? I never saw it.

With the frequency that Sportsbook has been breaking lines lately I think it's a good book to have. Plus, I know I don't have to lecture you on the importance of line shopping. .

Yeah, the thing is, 5 dimes usually has the best lines (well, second to Sportbet, which is a 5 dimes affiliate)...especially when reduced juice lines become available. Sportsbook DOES have some great dog lines though early on (see Diaz +260 against Ben Henderson)

I only saw the ending, but I heard that AA did not look that great until the KO. He was apparently letting Sylvia push him up against the cage at will and was making very good use of footwork. But then he got the KO.

I think Anthony Johnson will beat DJ Linderman. Will pick him apart, probably get TDs of his own, I don't see Linderman being able to get any type of top control decision here.

Linderman is a tough guy that didn't really cut it in the Bellator LHW tournament. And all those guys pretty much suck. Johnson will do pretty well in this fight I think. Watched vids on Linderman this morning and not too sure he will get it done.

AJ has this. Linderman is a solid guy, good chin and all but not talented enough to beat Johnson. Linderman usually wins via wrestling either offensively or defensively. I remember watching his fight with Hale and it was awful, he couldnt take him down and his standup was rudimentary.

Moraes is a muay thai champion from brazil. He started training Brazilian jiu jitsu when he was 15. I don't get the impression from the interviews that he trained that extensively. I do think Miguel has a big advantage on the ground however a lot will come down to his ability to get the fight there. Standing I would think Moraes has the advantage if he can get past having to strike while preventing takedowns. Its a tough call but I think Miguel is probably a reasonable bet to win here.

Brian Bobb/Ronnys Torres. I don't know much about Cobb because I really haven't watched any of his fights. Accroding to his wiki page he is a pretty skilled Division 1 wrestler. PAC 10 qualifier and division finalist. Torres is pretty hard to contain from what I have seen. Volkmann had trouble with him and he is a very good wrestler/grappler. Though he is pretty one dimensional. Ronnyes seems like a really good fighter IMO that will probably beat Cobb. It is just a gut feeling that is mostly reliant on the fact that I think Ronnys is a badass. He fought 8 times in 2011 with 6 stoppages. My only real fear is a Cobb lay and pray. I just read an interview with Cobb that stated Ronys Torres is a jiu jitsu world champ. I did not know that. I am still not sure about this one.

Devin Cole is an all american wrestler according to wiki. DJ linderman claims he will submit AJ.
