Scott Spreitzer - NFL 3* DIV TAPOUT GAME OF THE MONTH

Scott Spreitzer | NFL Side Sun, 10/28/12 - 4:05 PM
triple-dime bet 238 KAN -1.0 (-110) BetOnline (http://www.betonline.ag/) vs 237 OAK
Analysis: I'm backing the KC Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City may be the biggest disappointment of the NFL season thus far after many picked the Chiefs to win the AFC West under the directon of HC Romeo Crennel. The Chiefs are 1-5 SU, but have outgained all but one opponent. Kansas City outgained both Atlanta and Baltimore. But by now, everyone knows they're under .500 because of their ridiculous amount of turnovers. Most of those came with Matt Cassel behind center, but Brady Quinn will get the start this week...off the bye. Kansas City ranks 8th in total offense and 3rd rushing the football and should have little trouble against a pathetic Oakland secondary. At the same time, with Quinn starting and with renewed focus on the running game (Jamal Charles) I suspect the Chiefs will be able to hang onto the football. The KC defense will face a one-trick pony in the Oakland offense that ranks 31st on the ground...and can only pass the football. I believe Oakland is heading into a very tough situation. The Chiefs are on a 9-1 ATS run off a SU road loss, goi‡ng 6-0 ATS when those losses came by at least 14 points. And Crennel-coached teams are 7-0 ATS after allowing at least 450 yards in their previous game. I'm backing the KC Chiefs on Sunday. Thanks! GL! - Scott Spreitzer.

NO LIMIT>>>>>>>>>Take Cleveland

AFC GAME OF THE MONTH

The Browns and the Chargers face off in Cleveland on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns are undergoing a mid-season overhaul in the front office as the team has been sold and they are hoping to build a winning product on the field in the near future. QB Brandon Weeden is still settling into his role but he is improving completing 56.6 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions while being sacked 11 times. Trent Richardson is showing the signs of being a blooming superstar averaging 3.4 yards per carry with four touchdowns and catching 24 passes with a touchdown and Montario Hardesty is seeing meaning carries averaging 3.8 yards per carry and scoring once. The San Diego Chargers are licking their wounds as they allowed the Denver Broncos to rally from 24 points down to lose for the third time in a row. San Diego is sinking fast and they need to regain their footing or Head Coach Norv Turner may not make the season. (he needs to go). The underdog has covered the spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.We have a home dog here in what looks to be a close game so take the points.

Larry Ness' 10* NFL Week 8 Goin' Over Total (11-3 run with FB 10*s s/Oct 12)
My 10* NFL Week 8 Goin' Over total is on NYG/Dal Over at 4:24 ET.

The New York Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys twice in the final four weeks last season to capture the NFC East by one game, en route to winning the franchise's fourth Super Bowl. This offseason, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insisted that his team would earn its first win in four tries over the New York Giants in his $1.2 billion stadium. The Cowboys did open the 2012 season by beating the Giants 24-17 in Met Life Stadium back on September 5 but with the Giants 5-2 and the Cowboys 3-3 entering this Week 8 contest, Jones’ Cowboys almost HAVE to end their three-game home losing streak to the Giants on Sunday. The Cowboys limited the Giants to a season-low 269 yards in the first meeting while Romo threw for 307 yards and a season-high three TDs. DeMarco Murray led a rushing game which totaled 143 yards by rushing for 131 all by himself. However, Murray has done little while fighting injuries (he’s listed as doubtful for this one) since Week 1 and the Cowboys enter this game averaging only 97.2 YPG rushing (3.8 YPC), including only 88.0 YPG since that win over the Giants. Romo’s only thrown five TD passes in the five games since beating the Giants, along with eight INTs, giving him nine of the season. A win here by the Giants would but them in great shape in the NFC East, especially if the Eagles lose to 6-0 Atlanta, earlier in the afternoon. That would make the Giants 6-2 with both Dallas and Philly falling to 3-4. The Giants can’t control what the Eagles do but they will head to Dallas with plenty of confidence, as not only have they won all three games in Jerry’s new building, the Giants are 10-3 SU and 11-2 ATS over their last 13 road or neutral-site games, including last year’s postseason. That said, this is a “make or break”game for Dallas and I believe Romo can throw on this NY secondary, just in Week 1. TE Witten plus WRs Austin and Bryant can be effective (and maybe even Ogletree, who caught eight balls for two TDs in the first meeting). However, for Dallas to beat the Giants, they had better plan on scoring. Just look at the last three meetings in Dallas between these two teams and what Eli has been able to accomplish. He’s completed 64.2% for an average of 345.3 YPG in the air with eight TD passes. Romo MUST outplay Eli for Dallas to have a chance. I’ll pass on picking the winner but I sure have no problem taking the over. The Giants have come out on top in each of their last three visits to Dallas, winning 37-34, 41-35 and 33-31. That’s an average game score off 70.3 PPG, ‘light years’ above the opening total in this game of 46 1/2 (it's moved to 48). Go O-V-E-R!
