Wayne Root's Monday Night Football Gridiron Showdown
Football NFL
Game Date/Time: November 5, 2012, 5:30 pm(PST) Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints

Take: New Orleans Saints

Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints ...MILLIONAIRES...Take new orleans Both Philadelphia and New Orleans are coming off of disappointing losses in week eight. The Saints were beat-up on the road 34-14 by the Denver Broncos and the Eagles lost at home 30-17 to the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints offense is showing up each week led by Drew Brees who now has 2,310 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. The New Orleans offense may have several Pro-Bowlers come seasons end. They need offense as their defense is the worst ever! If there was maybe any positive, if any, to look at for the Saints defense is the development and production of Galette at defensive end. But I'd still rather be in the Saints lockerroom. There are really no distractions and no sign of pressure under the leadership of Drew Brees. It's as if each member of the team has each other's back. New Orleans assistant head coach Joe Vitt is back on the sidelines leading the Saints for week eight after serving his six-game suspension. Other the other side of the field are the Eagles. For Mike Vick and head coach Andy Reid, this game may be the last chance for both to prove they are still worthy of leading the Eagles. Vick has 9 fumbles, 5 of which have been lost, along with 8 interceptions and has been sacked 20 times. This may be a chance for the Saints to actually have their way with on defense. Jason Babin leads the team with just 2.5 sacks and as a team they only have 9 total sacks, ranking them 31st in the NFL in that category which certainly bodes well for Brees for the Saints.
