College FB (Saturday)
Boise State (-9) at Nevada 3:30 ET ABC
4* Boise State
In recent seasons, Nevada has been a thorn in the side of Boise State. They have covered the last 3 meetings and won outright against a Top 5 Boise team at this site 2 years ago, 34-31 as 14 point home dog. I don’t see that happening this year. As opposed to the earlier part of the millennium where the thought of “Boise on the Blue” made it rain money, the fortunes of Boise have shifted dramatically to the road under the tenure of 8th year HC Petersen. In fact, Boise is 20-7 ATS away including 4-1 ATS away this year since 2008 on the road. Conversely, Nevada’s pointspread fortunes have taken a downward dip. Nevada enters today on an 0-7 ATS slide and has covered just twice all season though their offense, behind QB Fajardo, is still producing with 37 points on 510 yards. It is the defense that has let them down. The Wolfpack now allows 33 PPG and 213 or more yards both running or passing. Replacing QB Moore with QB Southwick has dipped the Boise offensive fortunes a bit. But the defense and special teams are what has allowed Boise to create their 9-2 SU, 7-3 ATS mark. They allow just 14 PPG on 293 yards and have a +17 TO margin. Defense and special teams get this cover against a fading Nevada team.
Oklahoma (-6) at TCU Noon ET ESPN
4* TCU
Despite a loss to Kansas State, Oklahoma can still win the Big 12 Championship with a win in this Noon EST game and a loss by Kansas State in tonight’s contest vs. Texas. One look at their high-powered offense averaging 42 points and 513 yards and playing at a video game clip would appear to leave little doubt about this outcome. Yet, the Horned Frogs may have something to say about that. Last week, TCU stepped up to upset Texas 20-13 on Thanksgiving evening. Though their once vaunted defense has been torched by the up-tempo attacks of TTRR, Oklahoma and West Virginia (they allowed 140 points to those 3 in 3 consecutive weeks), they still have one of the best defensive fronts in the Conference. They allow just 97/3.1 overland and only 324 YPG. Their biggest hope in this game, however, is to control the flow of the game with their own ground game against an Oklahoma defensive front who, in the last 3 games, has allowed a Nation-worst 304 RYPG on 6.6 YPR. In fact, it was just 2 weeks ago that Oklahoma allowed West Virginia to rush for 458. Standing 5-10 ATS as road chalk, playing with the pressure of need and fielding a defensive front that has gotten steamrolled of late, it’s simply too tough to lay points on the road with these Sooners against a very capable home dog.

College Football Week 14: Championship Week
Analyst is 15-8-1 since Week 6 of the 2012 NCAA football season
Nebraska -3 vs. Wisconsin – Big 10 Championship
The Cornhuskers have started playing much better defense of late particularly against the run. They allowed just 87 rushing yards to Minnesota and 108 to Iowa. Both Minnesota and Iowa are bad teams, but neither averaged even 3.2 yards per play. Both of Nebraska’s losses this year (UCLA, Ohio State) were on the road and outside on grass. This game will be played at a neutral site in Indianapolis indoors. That should help Nebraska’s offense much more than it will benefit Wisconsin. The Badgers have lost three of their last four games, and just do not seem to be trending in the right direction to the end the year, and are having trouble generating offense with Curt Phillips at quarterback.
Central Florida +2 at Tulsa – Conference USA Championship
These two teams played two weeks ago with Tulsa coming out on top by two points. Both that game and this one are at Tulsa. I think there were some explainable reasons for that game, and also reasons to believe the Knights will play much better this week. The last match-up was the fourth road game in five weeks for UCF. Quarterback Blake Bortles is normally very accurate with a 67 percent completion rate outside of an aberrant 13 for 31 performance against Tulsa. Bortles has thrown just two interceptions since 9/15, and both came in the same game in an otherwise dominant game against Marshall. Tulsa lost last week to Southern Methodist (admittedly after locking up their division), a team UCF beat by 25 points. I like the Knights a bit more for having to stay focused last week, and win rather than Tulsa essentially taking a vacation last week. I like UCF outright in close game in this rematch.
Florida State -13.5 vs. Georgia Tech – ACC Championship
Georgia Tech has trouble playing defense which is not good when going up against an offense that averages over 40 points per game. Simulations have the Seminoles winning nearly 83 percent of the time by about 18 points on average. E.J. Manuel is a bit banged up, but they are clearly a cut above a team that might need a waiver to reach a bowl game. Florida State has allowed only four teams to rush for more than 100 yards this season. Georgia Tech obviously is clearly a one-dimensional team. I’m going with the talent and the Seminoles.

Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Wisconsin Badgers
The Big Ten Championship Saturday night pits the champions of the Legends Division, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (10-2, 6-5-1 ATS ) against the third place team in the Leaders Division, the Wisconsin Badgers (7-5, 5-7 ATS) at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, IN. You read that correctly, the third place Badgers out of the Leaders Division are in this game at 7-5 because the top two teams in that division, Ohio State and Penn State, are both ineligible for post-season play. You can catch all the action on FOX, with kick-off scheduled for 8:17 ET.
Nebraska enters this contest riding a six-game winning streak, and its two losses this year came at UCLA early on, a loss that does not look bad at all right now, and at Ohio State, a team that finished 12-0 this year. The Cornhuskers beat everyone else mostly because of a potent running game that ranked eighth in the country with 252.2 yards per game, and as if things weren't bleak enough for Wisconsin, Nebraska welcomed back running back Rex Burkhead in the season finale vs. Iowa after he had missed four games with a knee sprain. The Huskers did have a bit more balance this year compared to past seasons though as quarterback Taylor Martinez improved his passing immeasurably over last season, passing for 2483 yards while completing 63.3 percent of his passes with 21 touchdown throws against only eight interceptions. He also added 833 rushing yards on 5.3 yards per carry with eight rushing touchdowns. Now the Huskers did rank only 75th nationally in rushing defense, but that figure is a bit skewed because of allowing 371 rushing yards at Ohio State. That continued the struggles Nebraska has had vs. spread offenses, but lucky it is going up against a pro set here.
Wisconsin meanwhile stumbled down the stretch losing three of its last four games, although it bears mentioning that all three losses were in overtime. That does not change the fact that, unlike the Cornhuskers, the Badgers have absolutely no momentum right now. What Wisconsin does have is a one-dimensional rushing offense with the team now on its third starting quarterback this year in Curt Phillips. Yes, that rushing attack is led by last year's Heisman Trophy finalist Montee Ball, who had another fine season with 1525 rushing yards on 4.9 yards per carry with 18 touchdowns. However, Nebraska could put all of its efforts into trying to stop him, as Phillips completed only 52.6 percent of his passes and has yet to reach 200 passing yards in a game. Also note that while Nebraska beat just about all the teams that it was supposed to beat this year and most of them handily, Wisconsin lost at home to a 6-6 Michigan State team and it had much closer games than expected vs. the likes of UTEP and especially Utah State, against whom the Badgers had to rally to beat 16-14 at home.
These teams met in the regular season way back on September 29th, and although Nebraska won by only a 30-27 score, it piled up 440 total yards of offense including 259 rushing yards while holding the Badgers to 295 total yards. Wisconsin ended the regular season with a non-covering loss at Penn State, and the Badgers are on a 2-5 ATS run following an ATS loss.

317 Oklahoma St. -4.5(-110) (http://www.pregameaction.com/?page_id=57)Justbet (http://justbet.cx/) vs 318 Baylor triple-dime bet
Analysis: PLAY: OKLAHOMA ST
RATING: TRIPLE DIME PLAY
This play is based more on going against Baylor than it is going with Oklahoma St. Both teams are coming off of Overtime games last week where Baylor won while Oklahoma St lost. Normally I don't like to back a team off of a Overtime loss but I am making an exception here. I look at Baylor and I say what do they have to play for today? Two weeks ago on this very field Baylor upset Kansas St ending Kansas St National Championship hopes. Normally off of a Big Win like that you could expect a Big letdown but Baylor needed one more win to become Bowl Eligible and played at Cowboy Stadium against Texas Tech. The 2 teams went up and down the field and Baylor won the game in Overtime 52-45. It must be noted that Texas Tech turned the ball over 4 times that helped Baylor get the win. Now after 2 Big Games in a row and just becoming Bowl Eligible where is Baylor's motivation. I expect them to have a letdown this week and the way they play defense they can't afford to have a letdown. Baylor runs the ball well but that is Oklahoma St strength on defense as the ˜y have held their last 3 opponents to 106 yards or less rushing and that was 78 to West Virginia, 99 to Texas Tech and 106 to Oklahoma and that was including Overtime. Oklahoma St will make more stops defensively than Baylor and as they start to build some separation in the game it will force Baylor to abandon their running game and that is when the Turnovers will come. It will be another Shootout but I have Oklahoma St winning 49-34

triple-dime bet 316 Kansas St. -10.5 (-110) Bookmaker.com vs 315 Texas Analysis: ©316 Texas at Kansas State
Huge coaching mismatch here as Mack Brown and his Longhorns end another disappointing year, while Bill Snyder and the Wildcats rebound from its first loss of the season. Texas came out of its bye last week to fall flat on its face at home to TCU and the better coached Horned Frogs. TCU was also off a bye last week which again points to the poor job Mack Brown has done here in Austin. At 8-3 on the year Texas needs a win here and a bowl victory to get back to double digit wins for the first time since 2009. That's simply not going to happen.
Kansas State saw it's undefeated season and chance at the National Championship fall by the wayside two weeks ago in Waco. But if any coach can motivate his team off a devastating loss it would be Bill Snyder. His teams are 23-13 ATS off a loss since 2000 and the extra week of preparation assures a focused squad. After allowing 52 points to Baylor you can rest assured the Wildcat defense will be fired up here.
To show the coaching mismatch in this series let's take a look at recent history. Last year as an 8 point favorite Texas lost to Kansas State 17-13, the prior year at -3 Texas lost 39-14, the prior meeting as a 14 1/2 point favorite Texas lost 41-21 and in 2006 at -16 Texas lost 45-42. So over the last four meetings despite being favored by a combined 41 1/2 points Texas was beaten outright by 52 points. For those keeping track Kansas State has beaten Texas against the spread by 93 1/2 points in the last four meetings.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For College Basketball
Back to Back Underdog Victories. We'll try to make it 3 in a row today and 4 of 5 overall wins in College Ball. We keep working hard with quality over quantity. I take trying to provide a well researched and quality card and I will always work hard to produce the best results possible. Appreciate the Faith.
4-Unit Play. #613. Take Colorado +3 over Wyoming (Saturday @ 10pm est).
Colorado is a top 15 team in my book and they are getting 3 points on the road. I normally would not want to take a top 25 team on the road laying points. But, Colorado does have revenge against Wyoming from last year's loss. Plus, Colorado has a resume of beating a top 100 Dayton team by 10, a top 50 Baylor team by 2, a top 60 Murray State team by 7, a top 125 team in Air Force by 15 points and had a double-overtime win over Texas Southern in a contest where they were probably looking ahead to this matchup. After all, it is a rivalry and when you have a rival in the next game you were probably going to look past a Texas Southern team (granted, Texas Southern is a team that showed up as they are coached by former Indiana coach Mike Davis). I like Colorado given their past efforts of beating quality teams in early season tournaments. Wyoming comes off a big win over Santa Barbara on the road by 20 points who is a top 200 team. I suspect they might be in for a bit of a let down here. Their other wins are against teams outside the top 280 as compared to Colorado's wins against several top 100 teams. Anything can happen in a rivalry. But, with revenge and Colorado not playing well in their last game, I suspect they will come out playing well today as they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and Wyoming is 2-5 ATS when facing teams with a straight up winning record.
Indian Cowboy's Picks For NBA Basketball
4-Unit Play. #514. Take San Antonio -6 over Memphis Grizzlies (Saturday @ 8:35pm est).
If we can go with a side, we will. If not, then we will stick to our inter-conference totals. But, we do have a side here in the NBA that we can roll with motivation. San Antonio and the league had a falling out when Coach Pop sent home his stars without letting the league know. Commissioner Stern and the League fined the Spurs a substantial $250,000 for this. Obviously that's going to tick off the Spurs as they head into the game today. Duncan, Parker, Green, Manu and the gang will be ready for this game against Memphis. San Antonio's bench comes off a strong performance against Miami despite not having their stars. San Antonio has covered the last 3 times they have played Memphis. I believe the players will feel that Coach Pop stuck up for them as he thought the schedule was ridiculous playing his players 4 of 5 games and the final game of the road trip being in Miami on national television. He felt like his team was being set up and he would have none of it. The Spurs are 11-4 ATS coming off a straight up loss and the added motivation of the fine should serve them well today.
