Queen Mo vs Bumpage?

SPX

Awwwwwww shit!

This is going to be interesting. I wonder how much they're paying him?

SPX

So real talk: How well is he going to do? Can he beat Mo? Is victory guaranteed over guys like Newton and Zayats?

poopoo333

I think he struggles against Mo and Newton for sure.

SPX
06-04-2013, 01:01 PM
I think Mo might actually be favored if that match was made (and I bet we'll see it at some point).

Mr. IWS

I think it will be the same old Rampage, 3 round UD loss

SPX
06-04-2013, 01:18 PM
If that's the case, hopefully it's a tourney final after Rampage has KTFOd some lesser fighters.

I have a feeling Rampage won't be doing the tournaments with his weight issues. You think he can stick around 205 lbs in cutting range for 3 fights in such a short period of time?

SPX
06-04-2013, 02:18 PM
I think it could actually HELP him with his weight issues. With the fights being so close together it might be easier to just stay in shape. I think when his fights are spaced several months (maybe a year?) apart then he has little motivation to maintain his weight and just lets himself go.

I foresee that this won't end well.

SPX
06-04-2013, 02:36 PM
Why is that?

MMA_scientist
06-04-2013, 02:44 PM
I just think it is a bad investment. Rampage's stock is falling like a rock. By all accounts he is pretty lazy and he doesn't even want to be fighting now. Bellator is not known for having super great contracts, and pretty much every fighter who comes from Bellator complains about it. Also, I think he is going to lose pretty much every fight and have zero motivation and then complain about money.

SPX
06-04-2013, 02:58 PM
Who do you think he'd lose to other than Mo?

MMA_scientist
06-04-2013, 03:06 PM
I don't know their roster, but basically anyone who puts forth effort and doesn't just trade with him. I really think he is prime fade material.

SPX

I think against 90% of Bellator guys it will look like Rampage vs Hamill. Maybe the top 3 or so dudes will give him trouble.

Ludo
06-04-2013, 03:21 PM
I think Newton, Atilla Veigh, and Mo all give him a fuck ton of trouble.

poopoo333
06-04-2013, 04:17 PM
Yeah, Newton would probably beat him for sure

Rampage is gonna fight at HW apparently.

MMA_scientist

Damn Rampage isn't even trying to give pretenses that he is going to be in shape. They really have no HW's though. Konrad out of retirement to smother him?

Hell Yeah!

Dana has got to be laughing at Bjorn for wasting his money signing Rampage.

BOL Rampage is smart to fight at HW in Bellator if he is in shape, although he'll probably fuck around and be even fatter and shittier.

Is there even anyone for him to fight at HW?

Source on Kongo?

Fine, I'll answer my own question.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/6/4/4396260/cheick-kongo-signs-bellator-leaving-ufc-quinton-jackson-mma-news

I wonder if we're going to see Bellator pick up more and more ex-UFC guys. I guess right now there are basically two options if you get cut/leave the UFc: Bellator and WSOF. It will be interesting to see who goes where.

But I have to say, I'm pretty surprised about Kongo. He's been with the UFC forever and still wins frequently enough to where there's no reason for them to want to get rid of him. And it seems strange that Kongo would want to go to a smaller promotion unless either a) they're offering him a lot more money (don't know why they would) or b) he's just that desperate to get a belt before retiring.
