View Full Version : Pettis-Alvarez signed for Jan 17th
I saw this 3 hours ago and not a single thing on MMAjunkie or sherdog yet.
Even Alvarez confirmed this over 5+ hours ago, yet nothing on Sherdog and MMAjunkie.
X, how do you defend these sites now? Sherdog & MMAjunkie = reading the newspaper.

I hope Cruz/Dillashaw really happens this time.

Well here's a Bloody Elbow article. And take careful note of the words. . .
". . . it's not 100% official yet."

Hell yeah. I wish Cruz didn't have to just jump in there, though. A tune-up fight would be best but I guess with the way he got re-injured about the Mizugaki fight this makes sense.
WAR FUCKING DOMINICK CRUZ!
I love that dude. WEC NEVER DIE!

FYI: Just heard Pettis and Alvarez are fighting in January.
Great fights if they do indeed end up happening. I think Dillashaw beats Cruz by being the more powerful striker, and just as fast as Dominick. Pettis probably beats Alvarez, but that's a fight I've wanted to see for a while.

You must have read the paper today

Very excited to see Dillashaw vs Cruz. I think Pettis beats Alvarez by being the much more technical striker and keeping the fight on the feet. Frankly, it should be an easy win for him.

You don't think Dillashaw will struggle with Cruz's reach?

Not really. He had no trouble with Barao's reach, who, if I remember right, isn't much smaller(or shorter) than Cruz. I can see Cruz giving him trouble with takedowns. That knee tap Cruz likes so much is crazy good. But other than that I don't see a reason to believe that Dillashaw doesn't win this.

Rooting for Cruz, but a guy who has had less than a minute ring time in the last decade and has been dealing with multiple SERIOUS injuries is going to have a very rough time against Dillashaw.
