This will be a very unpopular pick this week based on the results we have seen but that is what gets us the value. Cincinnati is off to a 2-1 start but has not looked good in doing so as the loss came to Temple, which albeit is having a solid season, and one win came against Miami Ohio by just four points. The Bearcats are 0-3 against the number as they were unable to cover against Alabama A&M as a 46-point favorite so that can be tossed out. The thing is that they have outgained all three opponents and despite losing to Temple, they outgained the Owls by 261 yards. Five turnovers were the difference there. Memphis is 3-0 as it survived a scare last week against Bowling Green winning 44-41 thanks to scoring the final 10 points of the game. Blowouts over Missouri St. and Kansas were far from impressive. Cincinnati quarterback Gunner Kiel suffered a concussion last week in the third quarter and was listed as questionable yesterday, then went to doubtful and has since gone back to questionable. The line has moved four points because of this and we made the play thinking he would not play and if he does, it only benefits us that much more. Memphis is 5-18 ATS in its last 23 games after scoring 42 or more points and the Bearcats will be out for payback after losing by 27 points at home last season. 10* PLAY Cincinnati Bearcats

The Giants are coming off another tough loss, the second straight game they have blown a late lead and with it came some history they do not want to be associated with. The Giants are the first team to blow double digit fourth quarter leads in consecutive games to start a season. That distinction should have them fired up for this game as they look to avoid a 0-3 start. The good news is that the NFC East is a mess right now with the Eagles looking awful and the Cowboys without Tony Romo for at least eight weeks. Washington blew a lead in their season opener against the Dolphins but came back to defeat the Rams last week. That was more of a St. Louis loss as it was coming a huge home win in overtime against the Seahawks at home. This is the first road game for Washington and going back to 2013, it is 1-13 over its last 14 road games and there is not much to think that is going to change here. The running game needs to get moving for the Giants as they have put up 97 and 99 yards on the ground and going back, they are 20-8 ATS after gaining 99 or less rushing yards in two straight games. Meanwhile, the Redskins are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game. Additionally, the Giants fall into a great situation as we play against road underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points in conference games coming off an upset win as a home underdog. Last year in this matchup in the Queen City Lynch threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns as the Tigers easily destroyed Tommy Tubs and his team of Bearcats winning 41 to 14. Technically speaking, this is an ideal spot for the Redskins. The Giants are a mess. They could potentially be 2-0 going into this game but because of terrible play calling, they are 0-2 and are facing a Redskins team that is playing with a chip on their shoulder. I like what I've seen from the Redskins this season. To be able to win in the NFL, you have to be able to run the ball. The Redskins have Morris and Jones who have accounted for 331 rushing yards through the first two games. The Giants have not faced an offense yet that has a legit running game. The Cowboys running game was way down without Murray while the Falcons relied primarily on their passing game. Kirk Cousins is completing 75% of his passes this season. This is an efficient offense that has no problem taking what the defense gives them. The Redskins have outgained both of their opponents this season, along with all 4 of their opponents in the preseason. The Giants running game looks pitiful. If you take away a 27 yard run from Jennings and a 35 yard carry from Andre Williams, then the Giants are averaging only 2.8 yards a carry. Until Victor Cruz gets healthy, then the Giants really only have Odell Beckham to throw the ball too. Reuben Randle has been non-existent basically. The Giants lack a pass rush and in effect they are allowing opponents to convert on 61% of 3rd downs. The Redskins are holding their first two opponents to only a 29% conversion rate on 3rd down. The Giants will be without their top cornerback in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The Redskins get their starting cornerback back, Chris Culliver, after serving a one game suspension. NFC East favorites this season are 0-4 ATS. NFC underdogs are 3-1 ATS.

The Redskins have played (Miami and a St Louis) St Louis was coming off a very physical win against Seattle otherwise there would have been a different result there. The Giants have been great against the run and the Redskins depend on their running game to move the ball so this will force Cousins to make passes he should not make. The Redskins are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 games played between these two teams and the Giants are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games played on Thursday. The Giants are also 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and the Redskins are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after covering the number in their previous game. Analysis: Let's try this one on for size. Factors here are Bumgarner and the over valued Kennedy, as well as the park itself - all of which would lead to an under. However, Bumga ½rner just one-hit the Padres which shouldn't happen again, and of course he is another stick in the lineup, actually - an excellent hitter. Kennedy was just beaten badly by the Giants - the same ones that have tons of injuries. The same Giants who are more than likely going to miss the post season, but maybe not - however they'll obviously put out the best lineup they can because of the possibilities. The Padres score more (or have won more) against LHP this season, but the tipping point here was the fact that even IF it's a low scoring game late, BOTH bullpens have just been terrible lately, and both teams getting to merely three runs each makes this a winner no matter how many innings they have to play. If Bumgarner is hittable, it's on the road. That's about all I got - and sorry someone, anyone, didn't score more in Boston earlier. Stewed over the 5-25 with RISP there, but on to the next one.

The Redskins defense has been outstanding in their first two games but the QB play and the QB stories still dominate the Redskins talk. I'm not sold on the QB play of Kirk Cousins and if the Giants can get pressure on Cousins we should see some turnovers they will provide points for the Giants. Thursday night I'm taking the home team in this huge division battle and I see the Giants winning this home game by 10-points or more. Eli outduels Kirk!
