Gonzaga comes into this championship game scoring points at will and last night they beat BYU 88-84 and Saturday won 92-67 against Portland. St. Mary's is coming off a big win last night against Pepperdine 81-66 and tonight I see more offense then defense. Gonzaga will probably need this win to make it to the big dance and I see them pushing the ball up and keeping the tempo fast. The UNDER is usually the best bet when these two teams met but tonight in Sin City I see the Bulldogs pushing the tempo and making St. Mary's play their style of offense. Gonzaga is 4-0 O/U in their last 4 neutral site games and St. Mary's is 9-4-1 O/U when playing in Tuesday nights.

Fairleigh Dickinson has played their way into a shot at the NCAA tournament. If they win tonight they will punch their ticket to the Big Dance, and because of this we are taking the points. I see Wagner winning this game, but free throws at the end will determine the winner as Wagner pulls out a 4-6 point win. These two teams split their regular season matchups as Wagner won by 20 on the road, but lost by three on their home floor. In the blowout win Wagner hit eight, three-point shots, made 34-37 free throws, and scored over 90 points. Keep in mind, this is a team that only averages 70 points a game, shoots 33 percent from three-point line, and makes just over 71 percent from the foul line. That big win was an anomaly. This matchup will be much more like the 82-79 game back in February. FD can score the basketball and they will do enough of that to keep this game close. The Knights average nearly 78 points a game and shoot over 46 percent from the floor as a team. Wagner wins, but Fairleigh Dickinson covers 84-79.

Princeton has absolutely nothing to play for. They needed to beat Harvard to have a chance to make the tournament, but ended up losing by two to a Harvard team that they beat by 21 earlier in the season. Pennsylvania is not on the same level as Princeton, not even close, but they will keep this game closer than this line suggests. Pennsylvania is the absolute play in this matchup and the trends couldn't be more clear. Penn is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 trips to Princeton and 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings overall. Note, Boston College has been playing much better of late to their credit and they put their entire season on the line with this game. This is a team, like many lower tier teams in their respective conferences that get excited about the opportunity to have a fresh start in the Conference Tournament. And, there are always teams that surprise. Would it not make perfect sense for a team like BC who is 0-18 in conference play to give it all their heart in this final game. Remember, this team nearly beat NC State on the road losing by just a point, losing to Georgia Tech by 5 points, losing to North Carolina by 3 points at home, losing to Florida State by 10 points at home and this is a team we feel like will really show up in the conference tournament. 7 Unit Play Take #55 Detroit -105 over Columbus (7:05pm est):

The Detroit Red Wings come in having dropped their last two games overall. Both losses though came against the very good Chicago Blackhawks and that should add to their focus here in this one. The Wings actually outshot Chicago in the two contests combined. It looks like Detroit has struggled on the road of late but most of those defeats were by some of the top teams in the league. It's against bad teams like Columbus that Detroit has played very well having went 19-7 their last 26 games versus teams with losing home records like Columbus.

The Blue Jackets come in with one of the worst goal differentials in the NHL overall this season. They don't have a whole lot to play for here unlike a Red Wings team who has a lot at stake. Columbus is also expected to be without it's top goal scorer on the year as well for this one. The reason for the shorter price here on the Red Wings probably has to do with the fact they will go with Jimmy Howard in the nets but that's a good thing here as Howard has had great success against Columbus in the past, shutting them out twice just last season and has allowed less than 2 goals per game career wise against them. The Red Wings other goalie is struggling right now and Howard is a proven guy who is very capable in the nets. Overall there's just lots to like here about a better Red Wings team that needs this game.

Take Detroit here. On a roll right now with my NBA plays having won 8 of my past 11 selections. I've also went 8-2 on my NBA side plays as well. Join in the winning as this is the time of the year I've crushed it. Washington had a nice 4-game winning streak going prior to losing their last two games to Indiana and Cleveland. Their last loss came at home versus the Pacers, but that defeat came by just a single point (100-99). The Wizards will now hit the road and begin a 3-game road trip in Portland tonight. Washington’s next three games are all critically important for their playoff hopes, and since they are coming off a home loss, we expect a peak performance by the Wizards tonight. Washington’s offense was in excellent form prior to their last two games; the Wizards had scored 103 points or more in six consecutive games. Their offensive success will return tonight against a Portland team that has allowed 356 total points in their last three games. Since the All-Star break, the Trail Blazers’ defense has given up 102 points or more in eight of ten games. Overall, Portland has allowed 107.7 points per game to their opponents since the break.

Portland was one of the hottest teams in the NBA from mid-January to the beginning of March. The Trail Blazers went 18-4 SU over a 22-game span, but most of those wins came against inferior opponents. Things have turned sour for Portland as they come into tonight on a 3-game losing streak with two of the losses coming by 23 and 20 points. Portland was expected to be one of the worst teams in the league after losing four of their five starters from last year’s team. But the Trail Blazers overachieved greatly during their recent run, and now it’s time for them to regress. Portland is returning home off a 6-game road trip, and they’ve had just one day to settle in. Washington comes into tonight’s game with two full days of rest, so they have a scheduling advantage over Portland. The Trail Blazers are overvalued right now, so we’ll take Washington plus the points in this game on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Tim Floyd's team has played much better in the second half of Conference play winning ( 7 of 9 ) including their first road win of the season ay Florida International. UTEP was picked to come 4th in C-USA this season but got off to a rocky start. The Miners boast double digit scorers in Lee Moore
( 15 ppg ), Earvin Morris Jr. and Omega Harris both at ( 13 ppg ). The other two key cogs to this Miner Machine are former Oregon Duck, Dominic Artis ( 12 ppg / 5 apg ) & Terry Winn ( 10 ppg / 5 RB ). For Florida International things have been trending in the other direction. The Panthers have dropped nine of their last eleven contests.
I expect UTEP to take care of business by outscoring FIU both inside a nd out. The Miners are a dark horse to win the Conference USA Tourney. Daviyon Draper, Donte McGill & Adrian Diaz combine for 47 points per contest combined. UTEP averages 6 more ppg with similar styles. That's what I like Texas El Paso minus 125 on the money line.

Analysis: Swept Sacramento State during the season. Tyler Hall is a top tier Big Sky Freshman and needs to stay & play within himself and the Bobcats should advance. Senior Marcus Colbert is the glue for the Cats getting ( 17ppg ) and dishing for better than five assists per contest. In their second meeting at Sacramento the Bobcats outrebounded the Hornets 47-39 but it was the 19 offensive rebounds that was so impressive. It Montana State can pound the glass like that again that will be the difference. The Hornets have three quality players and need a big effort from Cody Demps ( senior ) who missed 9 games during the season. Demps is just ( 11 for 32 ) in his last three games. If he shoots like that today I doubt the Hornets have enough scoring punch with Justin Strings & Marcus Grave s the only other consistent cogs in the Sac State line up.
