Pomeranz should also cruise tonight on the mound as the Mets haven't seen him since the 2012 season and he's on top of his
game right now. The Mets have averaged just 2.3 runs per game in their 3 games against left-handed starters this season. The
Padres are averaging just 3 runs per game in their home games this season. With the line move from 6 runs to 6.5 runs there is

3-unit Play Take #965 Oakland A's (-110) over Baltimore Orioles (7:05pm EST) We get a perfect combination of an undervalued team and an undervalued pitcher tonight with the Oakland A's. Yes they're only 13-16 to start the season, but this year's edition of the A's is much better than last year's squad. The main reason is the significantly improved bullpen, which owns an impressive 2.82 ERA in the early going. If their starting rotation can just keep games close, the bullpen should be able to earn plenty of saves and wins for Oakland. Rich Hill takes the mound today and he's done more than just keep games close. Hill is quietly becoming one of the better starting pitchers in the AL. Through six starts, he has a 2.53 ERA and is striking out a whopping 11.5 batters per nine innings. His curveball is one of the best in the game and I think he can sustain his success because of it. Today he gets a dangerous Baltimore lineup, but one that will swing and miss quite a bit. That should play right into Hill's strengths today. On the other side is a struggling Ubaldo Jimenez. The tall right-hander comes in with a 5.20 ERA and has walked 15 batters in just 27.2 innings this season. The A's haven't hit to their potential yet, but a dose of Jimenez might be exactly what they need to get going. Take Oakland in this one.
