7-Unit Play. Take #476 Carolina -7 over Minnesota (Sunday, September 25th at 1:00 p.m.)
The Minnesota story on Sunday night played out perfect for them. However, don't let the hype fool ya. They are indeed a good, solid football team but they don't have a running game (with or without Peterson) and they have a journeyman quarterback who happened to have the game of his life on national tv Sunday night. And, they only won by 3 points against a struggling Green Bay team. Green Bay has issues offensively and they will continue to have issues until they get a rb. I digress. Carolina does not have issues offensively and they will score points on this tough Minnesota defense. It will be up to the Vikings' offense to match those points and I simply don't see it happening. Cam Newton is the best quarterback in the league right now and it really isn't close (I do like Big Ben). He is beating teams with his arm and his legs. The knock on Cam for a long time was his inaccuracy. He has fixed that problem. It helps to have big wide receivers and he has that as well. This offense has the ability to score points in bunches and they are lead by a dominant football player. The Vikings are lead by a journeyman quarterback and no running game. Their defense will keep them in it for a while but Cam and the Panthers will win this one comfortably in the end.

4-Unit Play. Take #480 Tampa Bay -5.5 over LA Rams (Sunday, September 25th at 4:05 p.m.)
Make no mistake about it; Jameis Winston laid an egg in Arizona last week. We played against the Bucs and it was extremely profitable. However, this is the Bucs' home opener and they get to face the worst team in the league, the Rams. Many would argue that Cleveland is the worst team in the league but I have LA currently holding down that position. They haven't scored a touchdown yet this season and their offense has looked atrocious. Granted, they did play against SF and Seattle but not scoring a td in two games is a bad sign. They don't have a quarterback and their oline is horrendous. Todd Gurley is one of the three best running backs in football but he's all you have to stop in order to stop this Rams team. Everyone knows it and they are filling the box to do just that. He has 36 carries for 98 yards on the season averaging just 2.7 ypc. I certainly see him having more success against this Bucs team but I really look for a spirited effort out of TB. We saw it in week 1 in Atlanta and I strongly believe we will see it in their home opener as well. Don't overthink this one. The Rams have had a hard time settling down in LA and now they fly across the country to face a team making their home debut.

5-Unit Play. Take #490 New Orleans -3 over Atlanta (Monday, September 26th at 8:30 p.m.)
Atlanta travelled all the way across the country last week and came home with a clutch victory in Oakland. That sets up a MNF game with their divisional opponent, the Saints. That's not a good thing for Atlanta as they are just 1-7 against their division in their last 8 contests. This Falcons' team simply doesn't play with the same fire and passion from one week to the next. And, they struggle with teams they play twice a year.
New Orleans has a decent football team this year. Their record is 0-2 but they could very well be 2-0. The Raiders "stole" one in New Orleans and the Giants won on a last second field goal in New York. I look for a huge bounce back effort from the Saints on Monday Night Football. Drew Brees will have his guys ready to play and I look for the defense to step it up like they did against the Giants. New Orleans is 4-1 ATS vs. Atlanta in their last 5 home games and I look for that number to increase to 5-1 Monday night. I believe a lot more in Payton and Brees than I do in Quinn and Ryan. Emotions will run high in this one and it's the Saints that will come out on top.

6-Unit Play. Take #481 Pittsburgh (-3.5) over Philadelphia (4:25 p.m., Sunday, September 25)

The Eagles and Steelers are both 2-0 but both teams seem to have different feels to them. Philly has looked like a team that is somewhat playing with house money. They don't have much to lose with a rebuilding effort under Doug Pederson and a new rookie QB in Carson Wentz so a 2-0 start is cute for the mostly delusional Philadelphia fans (no offense). The Steelers beat the Redskins, who stink, and the Bengals, who do not stink, but they did so in much the same fashion that they usually do so its business as usual in the Steel City. The point of this matchup is that it will be about as one sided as we would expect with Big Ben and the offense controlling the tempo and the physical Steelers defense making things very difficult for the rookie Wentz. This is not a tough call mainly because of who Pittsburgh is and that is one of the top teams in the NFL top to bottom. This will be a dose of reality for Philadelphia as Pittsburgh mops them up from start to finish.

3-Unit Play. Take #470 Miami (-9.5) over Cleveland (1 p.m., Sunday, September 25)

The Dolphins could very easily be 2-0 instead of 0-2 this season. They absolutely had a win snatched from them by Seattle in week one and then started out like a bag of crap last week against a juggernaut Patriots team. Their defense played better in the second half against New England and should be up to the task of stopping Cody Kessler this week vs. Cleveland. Arian Foster is out this week and possibly a couple more so they will rely heavily on the arms and possibly the legs of Ryan Tannehill against a subpar at best Cleveland Defense. Tannehill is an average quarterback and has flashy of brilliance at times but in this league that is not enough so he will need to right the ship in a hurry or things may get ugly in Miami for him. This is as good a week as any to get some confidence moving forward so look for him to have a breakout game and guide the Phins to their first win.



3-Unit Play. Take #372 New York (-4.5) over Washington (1 p.m., Sunday, September 25)

The NFC is as physical a division as there is in the NFL and getting wins is no easy task so a second division win for the Giants coupled with a second division loss for Washington could tell a lot of the story even this early in the season. New York has won two nail bitters and showed the poor end of game execution is gone, for the most part, under new coach Ben Macadoo. The discipline to finish and a vastly improved defense makes New York one of the better all around teams in the league and if they get their offense going against the Skins it could be trouble for the whole league not just the NFC East. Washington looks lost more often than not. Week one it was Antonio Brown shredding the secondary and last week it was Kirk Cousins throwing an inexcusable interception in a winnable game against Dallas. They are not a very good team and they will be exposed on both sides of the ball in this one. Take the GMEN to roll 38-14.

6-Unit Play. #480. Take Tampa Bay -5 over Los Angeles (Sunday @ 4:05pm est)

Tampa Bay could not have played more terrible against Arizona scoring just 7 points while getting 40 dropped on them. This is a Bucs team that showed great prowess against the Falcons on the road and simply got too big for their britches. This is a team that is still a very well coached team and with Jameis playing one of his worst games ever, we like this team to get their swag back here at home against a Rams team that comes off a big win against Seattle and will have a let down against Tampa Bay. Note, the Bucs have a lot of pride to play for here as this team looks to avoid going 1-2 to start the year and given the fact they have to play Carolina twice, we like Tampa Bay on the bounce-back here. Don't hold that loss too much against them as you have an Arizona team that lost in the opening week against the Patriots and was on a big bounce-back and heavily motivated with even their GM saying the loss was unacceptable. Bucs back on track this week.



5-Unit Play. #487. Take Chicago Bears +7 over Dallas Cowboys (Sunday @ 8:30pm est)

This team is fed up with Jake Cutler and could not be more thrilled that he is not playing this weekend. We believe the Bears after the horrendous defeat at the hands of the Eagles on National Television will play with a lot of pride here at home. Sure, the Cowboys come off a big win against the Redskins who are having fighting within their own squad right now but this is a classic let down spot. You have a Bears team that has Hoyer who gets his shot and who will play and play likely well and combine that with this team being embarrassed last week, playing without Cutler which will be a source of renewed energy and motivation, look for Chicago to really step up here on the road and hang tough against the Cowboys and have a decent shot at winning Outright.



3-Unit Play. #478. Take Seattle -9.5 over San Francisco (Sunday @ 4:05pm est) (Currently -9 at Sportsbook)
Seattle was terrible last week against the Rams but that is only because Jeff Fisher has had Pete Carroll's number for a while. But, Carroll has had San Fran's number for a while and Seattle has taken an incredible amount of heat for their offensive performance last week. This team will get back on track with a strong offensive performance here as make no mistake you have a Seattle team that will be highly motivated, playing a division opponent and Russell Wilson who has taken a lot of flack will be more than focused and motivated. Seattle by double-digits this weekend.



3-Unit Play. #464. Take Tennessee Titans -1.5 over Oakland Raiders (Sunday @ 1pm est)

We have been on the Titan bandwagon for some time now and rolled with them last week and went against Oakland last week as well. This is a Tennessee team that is fantastic on defnese and they showed that against Detroit holding them to 15 points and did well against a very good Vikings team in the opening week. We like Tennesse's strength of schedule thus far as they played well against a resurgent Detroit team and hung tight against Minnesota and with Oakland being so porous on defnese and the run game, we like Tennessee to take the public down here and get it done at home.

According to our sources and insider, the Titans would like to do the same thing against Oakland as they did last week against Detroit, running the football effectively and keeping quarterback Derek Carr on the sideline as much as possible. Still, the Titans will be tempted to use their tight ends and passing game to exploit a Raiders defense that has surrendered an average of 518 yards in two games. For the Raiders game plan, one might think the Raiders would be wary of Titans' QB Marcus Mariota. But expect the Raiders to load the box to stop the run, spying on Mariota with a linebacker or safety and forcing Tennessee to the air. But the Titans have so many backfield options in that Mariota can run and a slew of fresh backs that are good. And what do the Raiders know about defense anyway? Raiders opponents are averaging a hefty eight yards per play through two games, easily the most generous in the league. Tennessee’s defense is better than both New Orleans’ and Atlanta’s. Silver and Black defenders are looking fairly black and blue these days as the club has allowed 69 points in two games. On the season, Mariota now has thrown for 509 yards with four touchdowns against two picks. DeMarco Murray is the Titans top rusher with 131 yards and he also has 12 receptions while Tajae Sharpe has 11 receptions and Delanie Walker has 9 catches. Again, The Raiders defense is allowing 34.5 points and 517.5 yards per game
and until they can play defense, they have little reason to be a road favorite. ______________________

Rex is still in charge and comes with a new offensive coordinator for this game trying to get their first win. The Buffalo Bills scored just 7 points in their first game of the season, and then in the second game, they allowed 37 points. Buffalo is all over the place, and their head coach Rex Ryan could be on his last stand as the head coach. The Bills rank 30th in all of the National Football League with just 201 passing yards per game. Rex Ryan has a few extra days to prepare for this game, so the defense will be able to compete. Both of their first two games have resulted in six-point losses, first to Baltimore on the road, then last Thursday at home vs. the Jets. The secondary needs to go for the ball more. The Bills problem's are the fact the defense does not have a single pick on the year and that can make it difficult for the team to win the turnover battle or pick up any extra wins. More front four presence rushing the QB and more blitz packages are the game plan. Arizona’s first East Coast trip of the season will be long and start with a 3 hour time change which usually plays havoc to the west coast teams. They also scored 40 points last week and performances are difficult to duplicate. The public betting is out of the world on this game. Three out of every four bets are on Arizona. Laying points under these circumstances on the road is not advisable when the Bills have kept both games close in their two losses. Desperately seeking a win will keep this game close.

He was one of three people killed in a crash off of Miami Beach. The Marlins have cancelled Sunday's game against the Braves following this unfathomably tragic news. Fernandez turned just 24 at the end of July and, of course, had already been through plenty with what he experienced in defecting from Cuba. Analysis: Huge step down in class for Miami after just missing at Seattle and making a nice comeback in the loss to New England. The Dolphins should not have much trouble breaking into the win column here a‚s they play their home opener against a bad and beat up Cleveland squad. I don't see the Browns being competitive as they have to go with Cody Kessler at QB. They also lost Corey Coleman to an injury this week, and Josh Gordon is still suspended. My only worry would be overconfidence in a flat spot for Miami, but with the Dolphins being 0-2 out of the gate, it's tough to imagine they're not ready to play here. There's even a really nice tech angle here, as 0-2 teams giving a touchdown or more have a phenomenal record against the spread. No problem laying the points here in what should be a Dolphins romp.

These in state Rivals do not play each other often, only once in the past 5 years which Pittsburgh and Big Ben won. I believe its a short trip where one-third of the fans will be Steelers as their fan base travels well.The Steelers seem well focused this year with improved play on the Defensive side of the ball led by the now healthy Ryan Shazier. Keith Butler their D coordinator now has 2 weeks of game film to study Carson Wentz and should be able to put a effective game plan in place. Lets give the rookie his credit with a 2-0 record, hitting 60% and 3 TD`s with no picks. However he did it against teams that are 0-4 and heavily favored to be 0-6 by days end. Now he goes up against the 2-0 Steelers
with Shazier & co. along with Big Ben and his offense should be more of a challenge for the also improved Philly D. Bottom line here is Eagles are 1-6 after a MNF game and 0-10 off back to back
straight up and ATS wins when playing a non division foe. Now this is a different eagles team with new coach and QB and they have exceded almost every ones expectations so far. This is the game where I believe they come back to earth. There is no doubt I believe Pittsburgh is the better team, with better coach, QB, RB, WR, etc. Even if this a close game Big Ben will find a way to will his team to a victory. Steelers will roll to 3-0 and keep pace with AFC rival NE.




Against the spread Selections: Last week 3-0 Season Record- 6-0


Minnesota Vikings +7 – I see Carolina`s 12 game home winning streak in jeopardy here. The Panthers are just 2-10 ATS in their 2nd of back to back home games and 0-4 ATS the week before Atlanta the past 2 years. Not having Jonathan Stewart could also hurt them in this match up. The Vikings on the other hand under coach Zimmer are 9-1 ATS the last 10 times they have been an underdog. Zimmer is also 10-1 ATS after a division game. Forget about the injuries Sam Bradford looked pretty dam good last week and Jerrod Mckinnon and Matt Asiata are capable replacements for Adrian. The bottom line is Carolina has some holes in its Defensive secondary and Minnesota`s Defense is quickly becoming elite. They are young, fast, aggressive and most important can force turnovers. Cam doesn't like to be hit & pressured(See past 2 games VS. Denver) which Minnesota can do consistently. I also believe the police shooting in Carolina has served as a distraction for the home Panthers. A long time ago I learned the hard way, anytime you have a elite Defense getting points you take the points. I also believe the Vikings have an excellent chance to win this game put the Super Bowl losers in some real adversary.


Los Angeles Rams +3.5 - Should Tampa Bay be favored by 5.5 points over anyone? Hell No! Maybe that`s why the line has dropped to 3.5. Its still a play for me. Tampa Bay has lost their last 3 Home Openers, Id say that goes to 4. They are also 5-13 ATS as home favorites. They are down top running back Doug Martin which could hurt them in short yardage situations in this match up. Also tight end Jenkins was arrested for DUI for the second time in 2 years on Friday morning at 5:17 am which could be a big distraction for them as well and released from the team later that day. So their Offense in down 2 starters.. Jeff Fisher not only has Seattle's number he also has Tampa Bays number. Dirk Koeter is 1-1 as a NFL coach. Jeff Fisher is 8-1 Lifetime against Tampa Bay alone including 4-0 as rams coach beating them once each of the last 4 years, 2X at home and 2X in Tampa, 3 of the 4 games decided by double digits. Forget that the rams havent scored a TD this year, they hung 28 points in the first 3 quarters on the bucs last year and Todd Gurley is ready to breakout and so are the Rams. Take the points.




New York Giants -3 - The line has moved in our favor here as most think Washington will be the more desperate team, However the Giants and Eli seem to have Washington`s Number. Eli is 12-4 SU last 4 years, 3-0 ATS last 3 years at home vs. their division rival. Furthermore when you look deeper into this weeks match up
you will find a Washington team that is playing with no chemistry right now vs. a Giants team playing with plenty of it. Eli will spread the ball all around and the Giants D should contain the Skins non running game and Kirk Cousins. Bottom line Give me Eli and the Giants to make a team they own misery even worse. The Giants are 5-1 ATS as HF before a MNF and 14-4 VS a division foe in a back to back home game. G-Men make amends for not covering last week and continue to roll.
