We have always believed when two elite teams face each other, the under is something to take a close look at. And, as the #14th best team in the nation hooks up against the #16th best team, this sets up for an opportunity where defense takes precendence. Both these coaches pride themselves on their respective defense and it is hard to imagine that a Purdue team who is on a big bounce-back season and a Louisville team that has always been stout will not step up defensively. Though both these offenses are stout, note that in our books these are two elite defenses that face off and it will be the offense that takes the back seat here more than defense. Let's go with a standard 3-unit selection here

The Sixers have already won more game than they probably would have thought at this point of the season so the fact they have lost four in a row will not deter Brett Brown's bunch from playing tonight. These two teams have been two of the worst, if not the worst, in the league for the last five years and counting and the starts they have had this season are not too promising. The Kings played well enough to win and DeMarcus cousins 36 and 20 effort fell short as they lost 101-95 to the Wiz in OT. Cousins is a ticking time bomb and expressed frustration in Monday's defeat. Sacramento doesn need much to implode and this may be the start of this season's inevitable downward spiral. Take points but the Sixers will give them all they can handle and could get the win.

2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 204.5 Miami at Denver (9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30)

This is certainly not a marquee matchup in Denver but there is some star power on both sides of this one. The Nuggets have some young talent in Emmanuel Mudiay and Jamal Murray but have leaned heavily on veteran Wilson Chandler to carry them to a majority of their seven wins. Denver will score a ton of points on most nights and this one should be no different. The Heat bring Goran Dragic and Hasaan Whiteside with them to the Mile High City but it is unknown if they will play. Dragic will most likely be out there and looked filly healed on Monday with 27 points and 17 assists. Even if Whiteside sits the Heat will make shots and so the Nuggets wont make it that tough for them to do so. The total should go over early in this one.

Marshall has posted an 8-3 ATS record in their last eleven games following a straight up loss by 20 points or more and they have gone an excellent 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games. The Bobcats, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win. Throw in the fact that the underdog has gone a lights out 7-3 ATS in the last ten head to head meetings between the two teams and that Marshall is 10-4-1 ATS in their last fifteen home games and we'll lay the bucket or so here with the Thundering Herd in a game that we have them winning pretty easily at home over Ohio on Wednesday night.

The UNC-Wilmington Seahawks will look to improve to 6-1 here in 2016 when they hit the road to take on the Western Michigan Broncos at Read Fieldhouse in Kalamazoo, MI on Wednesday night. The Seahawks have posted a 5-1 ATS record in their last six games following a straight up win and they have gone an excellent 6-2 ATS in their last eight non-conference games.
