I am betting against the sweep here. Two tough pitchers. And neither team is hitting the ball. But I think the Pirates can scratch out one win here.

The Cubs saw Tommy Milone once already this season and lit him up for nine hits and four runs in four innings. Going back to last year Milone has been a mess, giving up 19 runs in 21 innings of work. Kyle Hendricks, on the other hand, is 27-13 in his last 40 home starts and is 18-7 in his last 25 starts overall. The Cubs are 13-5 in their last 18 home games against the Brewers and are 35-17 in their last 52 against Milwaukee overall.

6-Unit Play. Take #959 Arizona (-125) over San Diego (10 p.m., Wednesday, April 19)

We hit a 7-Unit Play with Arizona on Tuesday. I'm going right back to the well here. San Diego stinks. And I still think they are going to be a little hungover from their road trip and from the fact that they are on a losing streak. Oh, and they get to face Zach Greinke. Don't be stunned if Greinke goes out and throws a five-hit complete game shutout. I actually have him penciled in for seven innings and one earned run. I think he is going to wreck the Padres and bounce back from his terrible effort against the Dodgers. San Diego's pitching staff is shredded.

1-Unit Play. Take #965 Boston (-105) over Toronto (7 p.m., Wednesday, April 19)

The Blue Jays are a dead stick right now. No bet against them is a bad bet. They are 2-11 on the season and barely showing signs of life. Neither Rick Porcello nor Francisco Liriano have been very good so far this year. But I'll back the team that is hitting the ball better.

Houston should tear up the Angels here today. Dallas Keuchel has been razor sharp this season after a shaky 2016. This Keuchel looks more like the guy we saw dominating in 2015 and he has been awesome at home, going 27-9 in his last 36 starts in Houston. Keuchel has won six of his last seven starts against the Halos and there is no doubt that he is a better option than call-up J.C. Ramirez.

1-Unit Play. Take #973 Cleveland (-135) over Minnesota (8 p.m., Wednesday, April 19)

3-Unit Play. Take #977 Baltimore (-105) over Cincinnati (7 p.m., Wednesday, April 19)

The Orioles were ambushed yesterday. But I think they are going to rebound pretty quickly here. Amir Garrett has had two great starts. But this guy is a Triple-A caliber starter and the more tape that people get on him the more he's going to get hit. The Orioles are 21-8 in their last 29 interleague games and 15-7 in their last 22 games overall. Ubaldo Jiminez is a loser. But he has actually won seven of his last eight interleague starts and I think he can manage to be slightly less pathetic than Garrett today.

I know it is kind of absurd to bet against King Felix like this. But I actually think the Marlins bats are going to get to him a bit today. He's been a little more hittable over the last couple years and he's given up runs in each of his three starts this season. I think Felix will only go about six innings and I can see Miami stealing a couple runs from him. I also think the Mariners can jump Edinson Volquez, who has been touched up for seven runs in his last 11 innings. He allowed three runs in six innings against the Mariners last year when he faced them. And if he can do the same this time around then I think we're in good shape. The ball carries better during the day and the 'over' is 14-5 in Seattle's last 19 interleague games. The 'over' is also 9-2 when Miami plays in an A.L. park.

Houston should rebound from a loss yesterday with a big win today. They are 5-1 in their last six games and 6-2 in their last eight. Houston is going with Dallas Keuchel and he has looked like one of the top pitchers in baseball. He has just a 0.62 WHIP and a 0.86 ERA in his three starts. Keuchel has been dominating at home. He is 27-9 in his last 36 home stars and he is 6-1 in his last seven divisional starts. Keuchel is also 6-1 in his last seven starts against the Angels. Houston has had the upper hand in this series. They are 14-6 in the last 20 against the Angels and 17-7 in their last 24 meetings in Houston. Go with the home team.

2-Unit Play. Take #980 Kansas City (+125) over San Francisco (8 p.m., Wednesday, April 19)

I will go with the home team here. Jason Vargas has been outstanding. He has won both of his starts and has a 0.88 WHIP and a 0.66 ERA so far this season. He was hurt most of 2016. But going back over his last 10 starts he hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of them. The Royals lost the first game of this series yesterday. They will want to get it back here against Madison Bumgarner. This series means a lot to the Royals. This is the first time they have faced the Giants since losing to them in the World Series in 2014. They will want to even this one up with a win here.

Both teams are trending 'UNDER' games and last night the San Francisco Giants took Game #1 of this 2 game series in Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City and tonight I see runs limited again. Giants starter Madison Bumgarner has struggled a bit in his first 3 starts but he pithed well in his last outing but Colorado beat SF 3-1 and that game flew UNDER. Kansas City starter Jason Vargas gets the ball tonight and he is 2-0, 0.88 WHIP, and 0.66 ERA in his last two starts and he pitched outstanding against Oakland at home in his last start and the Royals won 3-1. The Royals have cashed 5-straight UNDER games and all 5 of them were at home. San Francisco has cashed 8 out 9 UNDER games and this year the Giants have struggled to score runs and tonight this game stays UNDER the total 8. Giants last 7 Interleague games 5 of them have gone UNDER and the Royals are 4-17 O/U against a left-handed starter.

We like the Hawks here to cover and possibly win outright. Note, that the Hawks shot jsut 25% from 3 point land in their last game and Hardaway in his first playoff game had a horrible game going 2 for 11 for 7 points. We expect a much different Atlanta team today. Even with Hardaway off and Atlanta shooting so poorly from behind the arc - the Hawks only lost by 7 points. We like an Atlanta team focused, will shoot better, Hardaway will be much better as well as the entire bench and consequently, look for Atlanta to not only cover here but also to win outright this evening. Washington can and will have let downs and that is likely the case here.
4-Unit Play. #706. Take Golden State -13.5 over Portland Trailblazers (Wednesday @ 10:30pm est)
Reports are that Kevin Durant strained his calf muscle and/or hamstring and is questionable for this game. Given this, we think this will take Green's focus up even more along with Curry and Thompson. Whenver Durant has been out the Warriors have had a strong sense of purpose and focus to show how the Warriors of old could play so to speak. We like Durant's likely absence tonight to motivate Golden State and even though the Blazers have revenge, we simply feel that this team hit a ton of tough shots in Game 1 and that likely will not be the same here. Sure, Portland will blowout this team at some point, but it likely won't be here as Durant is absent from this game.
Frustrating to lose our two plays yesterday by a bucket a piece. We will bounce-back today as we usually do.
