4-unit Play Take #970 Cleveland Indians (-150) over Baltimore Orioles (7:10pm EST) The Indians have won a franchise-record 15 games in a row and are peaking at the right time. They are getting contributions from nearly everyone on the roster and it's a beautiful thing. Streaks have been a thing in 2017 and I think this one can continue for a while. Mike Clevinger gets the ball for the Tribe today against the Orioles. Clevinger is having a really nice season at 8-5 with a 3.50 ERA and is striking out 10.2 batters per nine innings. That's spectacular for a #5 starter who no one counted on coming into the season. The O's counter with Wade Miley, who has been a train wreck since coming over to Baltimore last season. This train keeps on chugging, so take the Indians.

Kansas City is also a long shot given how many teams they must pass, but I have more faith in the Royals playing more sound baseball down the stretch. Last weekend the Memphis Tigers gave up 15-points in the 4th quarter to the ULM Warhawks and ULM get the cover and Friday night I see the Memphis dropping back-to-back games ATS. Central Florida dominated FIU last weekend beating them 61-17 and Friday night at home I see the UCF Knights starting the season a perfect 2-0 SU and ATS. With the Memphis Tigers struggling on defense last week and the explosion the Knights had against FIU I believe UCFis the play here with the soft -3.5 at home. Oklahoma State vs South Alabama

This may look like a big total to go over, but it's not given the strength of Oklahoma State's offense and how bad South Alabama is defensively. Mason Rudolph is one of the top QB's in the country and he has a balanced attack. That was evident in Oklahoma State's season-opening, 59-24, win against Tulsa. South Alabama lost its opener, 47-27, to Mississippi. The Jaguars surrendered 531 yards and were non-competitive in the second half when their defense wore down. The Jaguars are missing their top pass rusher from last year, Randy Allen. South Alabama made strides last year. But the Jaguars aren't ready for this caliber of offense. Oklahoma State is the highest ranked opponent to visit Mobile in the Jaguars' nine-year history. The over has cashed now in 10 of South Alabama's last 12 non-conference games.

The combination of a total less than double-digits, wind blowing out and the top-ranked Astros offense facing Jharel Cotton puts me on the Over. I had high hopes before the season that Cotton was going to be a good pitcher. That hasn't happened. He has a 5.53 ERA and isn't improving. Cotton has yielded four or more runs in six of his last eight starts. He's surrendered 24 homers in 114 innings. Houston ranks first in runs, batting average and is No. 3 in homers. Collin McHugh takes the hill for Houston. McHugh has pitched well, but he's far from dominant. The A's are averaging more than six runs per game during their last three games.

Ricky Nolasco is Ricky Nolasco. He's epitomizes a journeyman who eats innings. Nolasco is 6-12 with a 5.08 ERA this season. Mike Leake is set to make his second start for Seattle. His first came against the A's last week and was very good. I don't believe his second is going to go so well. Leake was being pounded during his last four starts with the Cardinals - 23 runs and 34 hits - before coming to the Mariners. Leake has said he has a tired arm.

I waited all day for some sharp, big money to come down on the under, that did not happen. The oddsmakers adjusted the line 1 point to 68.5 to balance the books. I personally feel this number should be in the low 70's, giving us great value on this play.

Oklahoma State racked up 600 yards of offense last week against an "improving" defense, while South Alabama allowed 531 yards of offense & 47 points to Ole Miss. South Alabama did score 27 in that game, & if they can get in the 20's, Oklahoma State Should have no problem scoring 40.

The real gem here is both offense styles will directly attack the weakness of each teams defense. Oklahoma State OVER's are 75% ATS when they're lined favorites.
