3 Unit Play. Take #112 South Carolina -6.5 over Kentucky (7:30p.m.., Saturday September 16 SEC)
Both teams will be looking to stay undefeated in this matchup at Williams-Brice Stadium and Saturday I see the Gamecocks taking this home win. Kentucky has had the Gamecocks numbers as of late winning 3-straight meetings and with what I saw last week with Kentucky against Eastern Kentucky I see the Gamecocks defense being the key to victory and cover. South Carolina is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 conference games and if the Gamecocks defense can match their play like last week against a Mizzou offense this game should be no problem for South Carolina and I see them covering this number.
3 Unit Play. Take #153 Wisconsin -16.5 over BYU (3:30p.m., Saturday September 16 ABC)
The BYU offense has been dreadful the past 3 games scoring a total of 33 points and now they have a QB problem with T. Mangum out fr this game with an ankle injury. With BYU probably being one-dimensional Saturday afternoon I see the Wisconsin Badgers flexing their muscles at LaVell Edwards Stadium. If the BYU defense can't stop the run or screen pass this game could get ugly in the 3rd quarter and I see the Badgers winning this game by 3 touchdowns. Wisconsin is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and the BYU Cougars are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games.
6 Unit Play. Take #163 Over 54.5 Tulane at Oklahoma (6:00p.m., Saturday September 16)
Oklahoma is coming off one of their biggest wins as of late beating Ohio St last Saturday 31-16 and Saturday night at home we should see tons of offense. The Tulane Green Wave have some playmakers on offense and I see them scoring some points at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and if I can get 14 points or more from the Wave we should have no problem cashing this OVER ticket. Tulane is averaging 34ppg but they haven't faced a defense like Oklahoma and the same thing can be said about the Green Wave defense. Oklahoma threw up 56 points against UTEP in their last home game and if Baker Mayfield gets hot early we should have no problem seeing OU score 50 points or more from the Sooners. I know this could be a big letdown game for Oklahoma but in the second half I see the Sooners offense throwing up a big number and Mayfield will have a field day with the Wave defense. Tulane is a perfect 4-0 O/U against non-conference games and the Wave are 7-3 O/U following a SU loss. Oklahoma is 6-2 O/U after allowing 20 points or less in their last game.
4 Unit Play. Take #191 Kansas St -3.5 over Vanderbilt (7:30p.m., Saturday September 16 ESPNU)
Two unbeaten teams will do battle at Vanderbilt Stadium and I see the road team getting the 'W' in this matchup. The Kansas St Wildcats have had two cupcakes to open the season beating Central Arkansas 55-19 and Charlotte 55-7 and both games were at home.. Vanderbilt beat Middle Tennessee St on the road 28-6 and last week beat Alabama A&M 4-2 but this game will not be an easy game at home. The K-State defense is no joke and if the Commodores struggle moving the ball on offense this game could get out of hand in the second half. Vanderbilt welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide next weekend so these next couple of Saturday's are going to be tough and I see the Commodores losing Saturday night by the Wildcats and get a beat down next weekend. I say lay the points with the road favorite Wildcats in this game and look for running back Alex Barnes having a big second half. Kansas St is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and again the road favorite take the road victory.

191 Kansas St. -3.5 (-110) Pinnacle vs 192 Vanderbilt
triple-dime bet
Analysis:
Huge game pitting one of the better teams that tends to fly under the radar in the Bog 12 in Kansas State against a team in Vanderbilt that is trying hard to crack that upper tier in the notorious SEC. Vandy will no doubt be jacked up for the home night game and they are not used to playing marquee games. No slam, just not a program noted for being in the spot light. I trust Bill Snyder as much as any coach next to Nick Saban for having his kids ready to rumble. The old man still has game fellas. The guy literally lives and breathes coaching college football. Many coaches would have made their exit when diagnosed with cancer. Saw it right here with Pinkel at Mizzou. Not Snyder. I respect that. But what I respect most from watching him and his clubs through the years is their meticulous preparation. The Wildcats rarely dazzle with the eye test but they play sound fundamental football. They are a direct reflection of their head coach. They won't blink here in the bright lights saturday night and they don't beat themselves with stupid, costly mistakes. Jesse Ertz has come on strong under center after his tough history with injuries. He is one of the better quarterbacks not many folks are familiar with. This is not overreaction to the ass kicking of NC Charlotte as I have little regard for Charlotte. We faded them with success in the opener at Eastern Michigan and cashed. I also don't put a lot of stock in the Vandy whipping of Alabama A&M. I was more impressed with the win over Middle Tennessee State. Vandy can defend. But the bottom line here is I think the Wildcats are at least a touchdown better here even on the road. I'm not going to overthink this game. I am going with Snyder and his Cats here for a Triple.
Different game, same speech. It's only one game fellas. I don't market or promote locks so please don't bet it like one. Once again, just trying to help. We have been knocking down the Triples but we will not win them all. It's one§ football game. Shit happens. Play this like any triple. Okay, many sincere thanks as always and best of luck to all of us. Enjoy the game.

SATURDAY
3-Unit Play. Take #112 South Carolina (-6.5) over Kentucky (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
South Carolina is the only team in the country with two road wins over Power 5 teams. They took out North Carolina State in Charlotte and then went to Missouri and beat down the Tigers last week. Now USC returns home for their opener in a night game against another SEC East rival with a chance to go 2-0 in league play. Further, South Carolina has triple-revenge after losing to the Wildcats three years in a row. I don't see them losing to UK four years in a row. The Wildcats have not been impressive in either of their two games against lower-tier competition, while the Gamecocks have gotten it done in two tough spots. I think South Carolina makes a statement here that they are legit and gets a double-digit win.
1-Unit Play. Take #105 Massachusetts (+14.5) over Temple (7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16)
1-Unit Play. Take #116 Boston College (+13.5) over Notre Dame (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
2-Unit Play. Take #131 Oklahoma State (-13) over Pittsburgh (Noon, Saturday, Sept. 16)
2-Unit Play. Take #148 Louisville (+3) over Clemson (8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
2-Unit Play. Take #149 Central Michigan (+10) over Syracuse (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
2-Unit Play. Take #153 Wisconsin (-16.5) over BYU (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
1-Unit Play. Take #155 Purdue (+7.5) over Missouri (4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
3-Unit Play. Take #178 Alabama (-28.5) over Colorado State (7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
5-Unit Play. Take #185 Oregon (-14) over Wyoming (7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
Either Oregon is for real or they aren't. We are going to find out. Because Wyoming is not for real. Not by a long shot. The word is out on Josh Allen, who is now one of the most overhyped players in the West. Allen is a really solid quarterback. But he is not a potential No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft like some bobbleheads have proclaimed. Allen is adjusting to life without any of last year's weapons (leading rusher, three leading receivers, etc.) and so far it hasn't gone that well. Iowa trampled Wyoming by three touchdowns in the opener. I know that game was on the road. But Oregon certainly isn't worse than the Hawkeyes. And I think that Oregon is going to be able to exploit a defense that allowed 34 points per game last season and gave up 52 to Nebraska (in 2016). Oregon is a team on a mission this year. They scored 42 points in the first half against Nebraska before taking a horrible backdoor beat in a game they outgained the Huskers by over 200 yards. I don't think that Oregon will have a letdown in this game because, honestly, I think that they letdown in the second half of the Nebraska game and Willie Taggart is going to let them hear about it. I think the Ducks pour it on in this one against an inferior opponent. And while this game might be close for a half or even three quarters I don't think that the Cowboys have enough physical talent on defense to prevent that one trademark Oregon avalanche quarter in which the Ducks explode for 21 or 24 points. Allen will do what he can. But he won't be able to keep up in a shootout. I have this one at 48-28.
2-Unit Play. Take #191 Kansas State (-3.5) over Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
1-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 50.0 Kansas State at Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
I think that Kansas State is a legit sleeper team to make it to the Big 12 championship game. And if I believe that they I have to believe that they are good enough to go on the road and beat an inferior Vanderbilt squad. The Commodores are no pushovers. This is a very veteran team that has played really well at home under coach Derek Mason. They play a tough, physical brand of football and they won't get pushed around here. But I just think that K-State is better. And there is never a situation in which I regret backing Bill Snyder, one of the best coaches in college football history. Snyder's teams are always mentally tough so I don't worry about them as much on the road. They don't lay eggs. And if Vanderbilt wins this game, frankly, it will be because they got a little bit lucky and they just made a few more plays than the Wildcats. But I think that K-State is legit and I think that they have more talent. I have this game played in the 20's but the Wildcats find a way and win 27-20 in a grinder.
1-Unit Play. Take #201 Texas (+16) over USC (8:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
1-Unit Play. Take #206 Washington (-33) over Fresno State (9:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
3-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 56.0 Washington at Fresno State (9:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)
Tough task for Fresno. Last week they had to travel to Tuscaloosa and get bashed over the heads by Alabama. Now this week they have to travel up to Spokane to face the speed freaks for Washington. I feel for them. Jeff Tedford was a great hire and he will get the Bulldogs back on track in the Mountain West. But they are completely outmatched in this one.
2-Unit Play. TEASER: Take #209 Stanford (-2) over San Diego State (10:30 p.m.) AND Take #174 Washington State (-14) over Oregon State (5:30 p.m.)
1-Unit Play. TEASER: Take #153 Wisconsin (-9.5) over BYU (3:30 p.m.) AND Take #155 Purdue (+14.5) over Missouri (4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16)

Saturday card has the 6* ACC 100% Power play and 4 more best bets including 100% dog and blowout system plays as well as big 5* total. Football ranks #1 overall over the last 3 years. NCAAF Comp play below.
The College football free play is on Pittsburgh at 12 noon eastern. The Panthers are taking nearly 2 touchdown here and we note they have covered 9 of 10 with non conference revenge which they have from last seasons close loss to Oklahoma St. They are 6-0 ats with revenge vs a team off a win and cover. The Cowboys have won and covered the first 2 games but may be looking ahead to a big one next week with TCU. Pittsburgh has covered 8 of 9 as a home dog of 12 or more. For our system we are playing against game 3 road favorites at -10 or more that won and covered the first 2 games as they have failed to cover 17 of 21 times long term. Look for the panthers to get the cover. On Saturday another massive card takes center stage led by the 100% Top 6* play in the ACC. The SEC Game of the month, a 5* total and a big dominator early side play. Football ranks #1 overall the last 3 years. Message to jump on. For the free play. Play the Pittsburgh Panthers plus the 13 points. GC

Stephen Nover's CFB Total of the Month
Sep 16 '17, 3:30 PM
Virginia Tech vs East Carolina
OVER 59 (-115)
East Carolina ranks 128th out of of 129 FBS teams in defense giving up an average of 616.5 yards in its two games. The Pirates just fired their defensive coordinator, Kenwick Thompson, after losing 56-20 to West Virginia last week. East Carolina surrendered 49 points in the first half so West Virginia called off the dogs in the second half. Virginia Tech smashed East Carolina, 54-17, at home last year. The 16th-ranked Hokies play at a fast tempo and freshman quarterback Josh Jackson is proving to be an excellent fit for their offense. Here's the thing about East Carolina. The Pirates also have a quick tempo offense. I expect the Pirates to contribute to going Over this total regardless if quarterback Thomas Sirk, who made his first start for the Pirates last week, plays or not due to a concussion he suffered last week. The Pirates figure to be throwing a lot here, which puts the pick-six for Virginia Tech very much in play. These teams shouldn't have a problem at least matching the combined 71 points scored in last year's game.
Stephen Nover's CFB Sides Play of the Week
Sep 16 '17, 6:00 PM
Tulane vs Oklahoma
Tulane +36 (-110)
Oklahoma certainly can be forgiven if it takes Tulane lightly. The Sooner, after all, are coming off a monster road win against Ohio State. Baker Mayfield is in serious Heisman Trophy contention after that game. But Tulane can cause some problems for the Sooners, enough to hang in and get this spread cover. The Green Wave should be improved after their young players took their lumps with a 4-8 record last year. The Green Wave have a decent pass rush and secondary. They also can chew up clock with their triple option running attack. This isn't an offense the Sooners are used to facing being in the wide-open, pass-crazy Big 12.
Sep 16 '17, 12:00 PM
Air Force vs Michigan
OVER 48.5 (-110)
The marketplace reacted way too violently betting this game down too low. This sets up a value play on the Over. Yes, Air Force is a running team and Michigan didn't play that well versus Cincinnati last week. But the Wolverines have a balanced offense and are capable of putting up plenty of points here especially if they cut back - as they will - on turnovers. The Falcons have just one starter back on defense from last season. Air Force piled up 457 yards on the ground in a 62-0 blanking of VMI two weeks ago. The Falcons were idle last week so they should be fresh. Michigan, like Air Force, only returns one defensive starter from last season.
Sep 16 '17, 12:00 PM
UL-Lafayette vs Texas A&M
OVER 59.5 (-110)
Texas A&M isn't taking its foot off the gas after blowing a 44-17 lead against UCLA and only beating Nicholls State, 24-14, last week. Make no mistake about it either, the Aggies have the firepower and are facing a horrendous defense that they have the capabiity of putting up 50 points themselves here. Louisiana-Lafayette is averaging 46.5 points in its two games, while surrendering an average of 57 points a game. The Ragin' Cajuns have a balanced attack, a bombs away quarterback in Jordan Davis and a dangerous kick return game.
Sep 16 '17, 4:00 PM
Purdue vs Missouri
Under 77 (-115)
Purdue is coming on offensively under Jeff Brohm and Missouri's defense remains a work-in-progress trying to get back to its form of two years when it finished 15th in the nation in total defense. But this total is too high. The Boilermakers aren't going against Lamar Jackson here. The Tigers should be fired-up defensively after getting rid if defensive coordinator DeMontie Cross. Missouri has a very good punter and a questionalbe field-goal kicker. So that's another plus for the under.
Sep 16 '17, 7:00 PM
Louisiana Tech vs Western Kentucky
OVER 61 (-115)
A little more than 10 months ago, these two teams were playing in the Conference USA title game. The total was lined at 78 1/2 and it flew Over with Western Kentucky winning, 58-44. That's a combined 102 points. Now, just into Week 3 of this season, oddsmakers are projecting these teams to barely reach more 60 points. It's a wrong calculation. Yes, Western Kentucky's offensive numbers are way down from last year. But much of that is skewed from last week's 30-7 road loss to Illinois. The Hilltoppers aren't playing a Big Ten opponent this week. They are much more in their element taking on fellow Conference USA rival, Louisiana Tech. Western Kentucky's Mike White is one of the top QB's in the conference. Look for a strong bounce back from the Hilltoppers offense facing a Bulldogs defense that ranks 120th in scoring defense allowing 40 1/2 points per game. Louisiana Tech has been strong offensively the past three years under Skip Holtz and that's the case again this season. The Bulldogs just reload on offense. They are a top-50 team in scoring averaging 35 1/2 points and should keep improving. These tems have met three times the last two years. The average point total from those three games is 96 points.

Idaho vs Western Michigan
OVER 53.5 (-110)
I have to question Idaho's defense after the Vandals surrendered 44 points and 550 yards to UNLV at home last week. Idaho has forced just one turnover this season. Western Michigan is stepping way down in class after opening with road games against USC and Michigan State. P.J. Fleck didn't leave the cupboard bare for Tim Lester as the Broncos have great running back depth and all-MAC tight end Donnie Ernsberger. Idaho should be able to trade points with its star quarterback, Matt Linehan.

3-Unit Play. #139. Take Northern Illinois +14 over Nebraska (Saturday @ 12pm est)
Northern Illinois will get up to face Nebraska. There is a reason this team is just a 2 touchdown underdog to a Nebraska team that had a good showing against Oregon on the road. Nebraska is likely still hung over from that loss and it is hard to get over a loss like that while you have a Northern Illinois team that is going to be very excited to roll into this game. Note, that Northern Illinois is is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games and Nebraska is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS cover. Northern Illinois had a very strong showing against a decent Boston College team from the ACC and held them to 23 points and comes off winning 38-10 as a favorite of 14 points to EIU. Look for Northern Illinois to be able to have success against a questionable Nebraska defense and with the Huskers defense being relatively questionable and Northern Illinois having experience back on offense we think they likely keep this game close.
3-Unit Play. #208. Take Over 71.5 California vs. Ole Miss (Saturday @ 10:30pm est)
You have two high powered offenses that are going to look to put up a ton of points in this late night game and it is a very solid public fade as well. You have a California team that has a fantastic offense hooking up with the #1 Offense in the Nation right now and that is Ole Miss - yes, Ole Miss. Ole Miss and the SEC will want to make a clear showing here and you have two ballclubs looking for the kill on the other ballclub as neither one could run up the score enough on the other one as this will have big implications down the road. And, with both defenses being horrible, this will be come a shootout from the opening whistle. Ole Miss has given up 50 points to South Alabama and UT Martin and now they have to face California. And, Ole Miss has Alabama on deck. California has given up 50 points to the likes of Weber and a good UNC team but rates 121st in the nation in defense and 120th in pass defense. Lots of poitns will be scored here Saturday Night.

Play - Louisville (Game 148).
Edges - Cardinals: head coach Bobby Petrino 8-2 SU and 9-1 ATS home with revenge in his team owns a .700 or greater record, including 7-1 SU and 8-0 ATS when not off a double-digit spread loss; and Petrino 4-1 ATS in games when both teams are undefeated, including 4-0 ATS when facing a foe that was not favored by more than 24 points in its last game… Tigers: 0-6 ATS as conference road favorites of less than 7 points; and head coach Dabo Swinney 0-3 ATS in his career as a favorite in road openers… The clincher is the fact that 2-0 SUATS conference road favorites off a win of less than 4 points are 0-13 ATS since 1980 in Game Three if they scored 35 or fewer points the previous game. With Clemson QB Kelly Bryant making the first road start of his career with the Tigers
Play - Memphis (Game 138).
Edges - Tigers: 6-0 ATS non-conference home dogs off consecutive wins… Bruins: 0-6 ATS off consecutive wins under Jim Mora if the last win was by less than 42 points; and 0-6 ATS as favorites before Stanford… We cement the play with this from our Perfect System Club as it tells us to PLAY ON any undefeated college football home dog off a win of less than 36 points hat was a bowl team last season if they are facing an undefeated opponent that allows more than 14 PPG on the season provided our home dog is not off a shutout win. That’s because these teams are 15-0 ATS since 2000. With this 12 Noon ET start being a 9:00 AM body clock game for UCLA.

Air Force @ Michigan
Air Force (+23 ½) 16 MICHIGAN 35
These teams both play at a slow pace offensively and a game with fewer plays and possessions make it more challenging for a big favorite to cover the spread. Air Force is 6-0 ATS the last 25 years as an underdog of 21 points or more (4-0 under coach Calhoun) and all traditional option teams (Veer, Flexbone, Wishbone, I-bone but not read-option) are 61-36-2 ATS as dogs of 21 points or more since 1980 (including teams that previously ran the traditional option in the seasons in which they ran that offense). Aside from this being a game with significantly fewer plays than normal I think the Air Force option is better than their 1 returning starter would lead most to believe. Under coach Calhoun there is zero correlation to the number of returning starters and the quality of the defense in his 10 prior seasons. My ratings favor Michigan by just 19 points with the pace of the game taken into account.
Clemson @ Louisville
LOUISVILLE (+3) 30 Clemson 28
Clemson’s defense has been absolutely amazing so far this season, allowing an average of 4.5 points and 119 total yards per game at a miniscule 2.1 yards per play, which includes the 1.8 yppl that they yielded to what was supposed to be a good Auburn offense. However, Clemson will be facing a quarterback that transcends special and Lamar Jackson can make things happen even against the most talented defenses that execute well. Clemson defenders can be doing exactly what they’re supposed to be doing, which would lead to success against nearly every other offense, but that still doesn’t mean they’ll be able to keep Jackson from escaping and creating a big play with his arm or his legs. Last season Jackson led Louisville to a 63-20 romp over a very good Florida State defense and he led the Cardinals to 36 points in a 6 point loss to the Clemson team that went on to win the National Championship. Jackson is not immune to great defensive fronts, as he did struggle against both Houston and LSU, but it is safe to say that Louisville is relatively better against good defensive teams because of Jackson’s special talents.
Louisville also has a good defense that will challenge the Tigers and overall my ratings favor Clemson by just 1 point. I’ll actually call for the minor upset due to a 94-32-2 ATS home underdog momentum situation that applies to Louisville.
Tulane @ Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA (-34) 41 Tulane 10
Oklahoma proved that they are an elite team by beating up on Ohio State in Columbus last week but given the excitement of that victory I don’t see how the Sooners’ defensive players will be fully focused on learning how to defend the option attack of Tulane. The option is a great equalizer of talent and option teams tend to be good as big underdogs for that reason. Tulane is in the second season of coach Willie Fritz’ offense and the Green Wave have a pretty decent defense that gave up just 5.4 yards per play last season and held Navy to 23 points last week in a 2-point loss as a double-digit underdog.
If Oklahoma does built a huge lead my guess is that Baker Mayfield will exit the game and they’ll turn to the rushing attack to close things out. The problem is that Oklahoma’s rushing attack doesn’t appear to be as good with Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine now in the NFL. The Sooners have averaged just 4.3 yards per rushing play and gaining only 5.1 yprp against UTEP’s horrible run defense is alarming. Tulane has a solid run defense so I don’t expect Oklahoma to be able to run up the score by simply running the ball. This will also be a shorter game since Oklahoma has slowed their tempo this season and Tulane’s offensive tempo has always been slow. I like Tulane and the under.
Tennessee @ Florida
FLORIDA (-4) 28 Tennessee 21
Florida had an unplanned bye week last week due to hurricane Irma and it gave the players and coaches an extra week to put their opening game debacle against Michigan behind them. Florida’s offense still looks like an issue but Tennessee’s defense doesn’t look particularly good, as I rate that unit at just 0.1 yards per play better than average. I am impressed so far by Vols quarterback Quinten Dormady, who has averaged 7.3 yards per pass play but the Gators’ defense is strong and I project just 5.2 yards per play for Tennessee in this game. Overall my ratings favor Florida by 6 ½ points so I see some value with the Gators.
SMU @ TCU
TCU (-19½) 41 Southern Methodist 20
TCU usually bounces back to have good success after a down season under coach Gary Patterson and this year’s Horned Frogs squad looks good so far, ranking 0.7 yards per play better than average offensively and 0.9 yppl better than average defensively after last week’s good performance in their 28-7 win over Arkansas. SMU has scored an average of 56 points in two games against inferior defensive teams, SF Austin and North Texas, but their yardage numbers aren’t particularly impressive (6.3 yards per play against teams that would allow 6.8 yppl to an average team) and the Mustangs’ defense is worse than average and allowed 6.7 yards per play to a traditionally impotent North Texas offense last week. My preseason ratings would have favored TCU by 21 points and my updated ratings make it 21½ points. Not much value here.
Oregon St. @ Washington St.
WASHINGTON STATE (-21) 44 Oregon State 21
Oregon State has been even worse than I thought they’d be when I played them under 5 wins prior to the season. I suspected that the offense wouldn’t be as good as most people thought it would be but it’s been a pleasant surprise that the Beavers’ defense is even worse than projected so far. Oregon State’s secondary has allowed 65% completions and 9.6 yards per pass play in their three games while allowing 8.0 yppp or more in each game (including against FCS team Portland, who they barely beat). Not being able to defend the pass is usually a problem when facing a team that throws the ball 73% of the time. Washington State quarterback Luke Falk has been upgrade to probable and he should put up huge numbers against the Beavers while a solid Cougars’ stop unit limits the Beavers. Oregon State’s poor start has certainly been reflected in this huge line, but my ratings favor WSU by 23½ points so I’d still lean with the Cougars at -21 or less.
Colorado St. @ Alabama
ALABAMA (-28½) 44 Colorado State 13
Colorado State hasn’t been as good offensively as projected and the Rams managed just 3 points in their only game against a good defense (Colorado). The 58 points that the Rams scored against Oregon State in their opener doesn’t look quite as good now considering how bad the Beavers’ defense has been through 3 games, and Alabama should be able to contain that attack. My preseason ratings would have favored Alabama by 31 points and my updated ratings favor the Tide by 31½ points. Nick Saban likes to beat up on his former assistants so I’m not sure that he’ll call off the dogs with a big lead against Mike Bobo’s Rams.
Texas @ USC
USC (-15½) 42 Texas 24
USC is coming off an impressive 42-24 win over a very good Stanford team and the Trojans actually didn’t play poorly in their closer than expected 48-31 opening day win over Western Michigan. Western Michigan is no slouch and USC averaged 7.9 yards per play and allowed just 5.0 yppl in that game. Last week the edge against Stanford was 8.6 yppl to 6.3 yppl, which is astounding given the level of the Cardinal defense. Texas is a bit of a mystery right now, as the Longhorns gave up 51 points and 8.7 yppl to Maryland in their opener and then pitched a 56-0 shutout against San Jose State last week. I do believe that the Texas defense is good and that the Longhorns’ offense is better than average but my ratings favor USC by 17½ points.

None of these are best bets. They are free analysis from Bob's site. He doesn't have any best bets. One strong opinion on under in the SC/Kentucky game. Thanks.

Does anyone ever get leiner big plays? I always see his free plays. I've bought a few of his big plays and he is pretty good. After I'm done with either rainman or millerlocks I'll get his unless someone else wants to get him and I'll continue with what I provide.
