1-Unit Play. Take #721 Auburn (-4) over Dayton (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
I don't trust Auburn further than I can throw them. These guys are idiots. But I am definitely looking to fade Dayton this year. This team lost its coach and four of its five best players from last season. They are rebuilding and they haven't been that impressive yet this season. Auburn is a very talented team, even without two of its best players in Austin Wiley and Dan Purifoy. They've won four of five games and they are 3-1 ATS in their last four. I will back talent, although I do so with some skepticism.

1-Unit Play. Take #727 Arkansas State (+1.5) over Cleveland State (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
These are two really bad basketball teams. But Arkansas State has been better this year. They have two wins (to CSU's one) against a tougher schedule. Cleveland State is a mess. They have a new coach and are completely overhauling the system, without the players to do it. The Vikings want to play fast. Well, ASU has been playing that way for a few seasons and they do it better. Arkansas State manhandled a much better Cleveland State team last year. I think they will do enough to get the win here.

1-Unit Play. Take #735 Marshall (+3) over William & Mary (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
Why is William and Mary favored here? These guys are not good. And not only are they favored, but they are taking all the action in this game. The Tribe is in a bit of a letdown spot after a nice win over Old Dominion. But these guys have little experience and they are horrible defensively because they are so un-athletic. Marshall has one of the most aggressive offenses in college basketball and one of the best mid-major guards in the country in Jon Elmore. The Tribe haven't exactly been world beaters this season and they are not nearly as good as they have been the past two years. But I still think they have more talent and think this is good value on the number.

1-Unit Play. Take #742 North Carolina (-9.5) over Michigan (7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
I am guessing that North Carolina is not going to shoot 25 percent from the field again like they did in their final game of the PK80 tournament against Michigan State. In fact, I think UNC is pretty pissed off about being embarrassed like that and they will want to take it out on someone. Why not Michigan? The Wolverines stink. This is not a good basketball team at all and their six wins have come against some of the worst competition in the country. I've watched this team play and I don't like anything that they are doing right now. I don't love North Carolina either. But UNC is at home, they are motivated after a loss, they have severe advantages in terms of athleticism and experience, and they should be able to make another statement here for the ACC.

1-Unit Play. Take #751 Southern Miss (+5) over South Alabama (8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
USA is another team that I look at and wonder how the hell they are favored like this over anyone. They lost to No. 306 Stetson at home for crying out loud. And two of their wins - over weak St. Peter's and No. 277 New Orleans - came by a combined eight points. Southern Miss isn't any better. But Doc Sadler knows his way around the block and his team will be competitive. Much like the Arkansas State-Cleveland State game, it is just two bad teams. But I will back the bad team with the better coach and better players from the better conference that just happen to be catching the points.

2-Unit Play. Take #756 UT-Arlington (-18) over Rice (8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
The Mavericks can pick their score in this game. They are the better team in every facet and it is just a matter of how badly they want to run this one up. Rice lost at home by 21 to a Georgia State team that is not nearly as good and they lost to UNLV (by 27) and Ole Miss (17) teams that are in the same neighborhood. Last year UT-Arlington went 6-1 ATS as a favorite of 10 or more points and they are 13-4 in that role over the last two-plus years, with most of the losses ATS coming on the road. They already lit up Western Carolina by 24 in a similar role this season and I think they can do the same thing here.

7-Unit Play. Take #764 Minnesota (-5) over Miami (9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)

1-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 146.0 Miami at Minnesota (9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
Shame is a hell of a motivator. And the story in college basketball today is how pathetic the Big Ten has been in the ACC/Big Ten showdown. I know it seems like a small thing, but listening to everyone rag on your conference can serve to fire fans and players up due to the tribalism of the leagues. I already had this game circled and liked this matchup even before yesterday. But watching that, and knowing that was all anyone in hoops was going to be talking about going into tonight's ACC-Big Ten games was the clincher.
Minnesota is legit. They are undefeated and they are absolutely no joke. They will be neck-and-neck with Michigan State in a battle for the Big Ten title. This team is outstanding at home and they have already proving their mettle by blasting Providence on the road and handling Alabama on a neutral site. Miami hasn't shown me anything. And I think that this is one of the more overrated teams in the country. There is no way they are the 13th best team in the nation. And they certainly haven't proven it. The Hurricanes haven't played a single team rated better than No. 125, four of their five games were at home, and their toughest game to this point was a neutral site game against LaSalle that they won 57-46. That's not inspiring. I've watched this team play and chemistry is still an issue. They are really young, with JaQuan Newton as the lone senior, two sophomore starters and freshman Lonnie Walker coming off the bench. This team did not play well on the road at all last year, going just 6-10 in road and neutral site games. And I don't expect them to play well here. Miami struggles to shoot the ball and the Gophers are an excellent defensive team. I think Minnesota is going to be really motivated in this one. And I think it will play out a bit like our win with Purdue last night: the Gophers in a nip-tuck game but then hitting the jets late behind the strength of their home crowd.

1-Unit Play. Take #768 Nevada (-13) over Illinois State (10 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
Basically, I will take Nevada until they do not cover. This team is a wrecking crew right now.

1-Unit Play. Take #770 Niagara (+2.5) over Buffalo (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
I'll take a stab with the home underdog here. Niagara played tight with BYU and UT-Arlington, two teams that are better than the Bulls. This is a rivalry game and I expect the home crowd to be a factor. Niagara might have the two best players on the floor. And if they can hold up just a little bit on the inside they should win this one.

1-Unit Play. Take #772 Fordham (+2) over East Tennessee State (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)
This is another instance where a team is favored that I do not think should be favored. I am looking to fade East Tennessee State this season. They simply lost too much from last year to expect any kind of consistency. I don't love Fordham by any stretch. But they are at home and hosting a team that isn't used to traveling up to NYC for a random nonconference game. I think ETSU will be distracted and out of their element and I will go with the team with the better coach from the better conference catching points with a home court advantage.
1-Unit Play. Take #774 Providence (-13.5) over Rider (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)

Rider was not competitive with Xavier, losing by 26 in a game that was not that close. I don't see how they will be competitive with Providence, a team that is every bit as good as the X-Men. Providence is in a bit of a letdown-look ahead spot here. And that is the only reason this play is not rated higher.
1-Unit Play. Take #775 St. Bonaventure (-7) over Siena (7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29)

I have been waiting for my chance to bet against Siena again since they burned me on opening night. This team is trash. They have gotten rocked by any decent team that they have faced and that Charleston game looks more and more like a fluke. Siena is actually coming off a win over Hofstra and I do not expect them to pull off two in a row. The Bonnies already have a win over Maryland and they showed well in Florida last week. I think they will keep it going here.

Throw in the fact that the Flyers are an impressive 12-4 ATS in their last sixteen games when they faced a team from the SEC and we're going to take the points with them here in a game that we think they can win outright in Dayton on Wednesday night.


1 Unit Play. Take #737 Penn St PK over NC State (7:15 PM, Wednesday, November 29, ESPN U)

Penn St has posted a 4-1 ATS record in their last five games where they faced a team from the ACC and they have gone an excellent 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games overall. The Wolfpack, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games and they have failed to cover the number in eight of their last ten games where they faced a team from the Big 10. Throw in the fact that NC State is an awful 2-11 ATS in their last thirteen games versus a team with a winning record and we'll the Nittany Lions at the pick here as we have them as the better team, even being on the road on Wednesday night.


3 Unit Play. Take #745 UNLV PK over Northern Iowa (8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29)

The UNLV Runnin Rebels will look to improve to 7-0 here to open their 2017/18 season when they hit the road to take on the Northern Iowa Panthers at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, IA on Wednesday night. The Rebels have posted a perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four games following a game where they scored 90 points or more and they have gone an excellent 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Panthers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 3-13 ATS in their last sixteen games where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher and they have failed to cover the number in 17 of their last 22 games following a straight up loss. Throw it the fact that Northern Iowa is also just 3-9 ATS in their last twelve non-conference games while UNLV is a lights out 33-16-2 ATS in that same non-conference spot and we're going to take the Rebels at the pick or so in a game that we have them winning in Cedar Falls on Wednesday night.


1 Unit Play. Take #757/758 Long Beach St vs Arizona Over 156 (8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29, Pac-12 Network)

Long Beach has posted a 19-7 record to the over in their last 26 games where they faced a team from the Pac-12 and they have gone an excellent 21-9 to the over in their last 30 non-conference games overall. Arizona has also been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone up and over the number in four of their last five games versus a team from the Bog West and they are 8-2-1 to the over in their last eleven overall going back to the end of the 2016/17 season. Throw in the fact that LBSU is 29-14 to the over in their last 43 road games and that's where we'll have our play as we think Arizona hits the 90-point mark, in turn, putting this one over in Tucson on Wednesday night.


1 Unit Play. Take #762 Nebraska -3.5 over Boston College (9:15 PM, Wednesday, November 29, ESPN U)

This is more of a play against Boston College than it is on Nebraska as the Eagles have been horrible for the better part of two years now. BC has posted a 1-5 ATS record in their last six games following a straight up loss and they have that same 1-5 ATS record in their last six games where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. They have also gone an awful 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games versus a team with a winning record at home and they have failed to cover the number in five of six against a team from the Big 10. Throw in the fact that Nebraska has had some success against the number when playing the ACC, going 5-1 ATS in their last six and we're going to lay the points with them here to get the home win and cover in Lincoln on Wednesday night.


2 Unit Play. Take #764 Minnesota -5 over Miami (FL) (9:15 PM, Wednesday, November 29, ESPN 2)

The Minnesota Golden Gophers will look to stay perfect here in 2017/18 with their eighth win in row when they take on the Miami Hurricanes at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, MN on Wednesday night. The Gophers have posted a perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four games where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher and they are an excellent 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win. Miami, on the other hand, has struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone an awful 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus a team from the Big 10 and they have failed to cover the number in eight of their last nine non-conference games. The Duke Blue Devils will look to open their 2017/18 season with nine straight wins when they hit the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils have posted a perfect 6-0-1 ATS record in their last seven road games and they have gone an excellent 9-2-1 ATS in their last twelve games where they faced a team with a winning record. They have also covered the number in five of their last seven games off an ATS win and they are an impressive 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games. The Hoosiers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone an awful 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and they have that same 2-6 ATS record in their last eight games where they faced a team from the ACC. Throw in the fact that Duke is 8-2 ATS in their last ten versus a team from the Big 10 and we're going to lay the points with them here to get the road win and cover in Bloomington on Wednesday night.

The Nevada Wolfpack will look for their seventh win in a row to open their 2017/18 season when they take on the Illinois St Redbirds at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, NV on Wednesday night. The Wolfpack have posted an 18-6-2 ATS record in their last 26 non-conference games and they have gone an excellent 25-10-2 ATS in their last 37 games following a straight up win. The Redbirds, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 3-7 ATS in their last ten games where they faced a team with a winning record and they have failed to cover the number in each of their last six games where they faced a team from the Mountain West Conference. Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Rider Broncos hit the road to take on the Providence Friars at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI on Wednesday night. Rider has posted a perfect 6-0 record to the over in their last six games where they faced a team from the Big East and they have gone an excellent 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS win. The Friars have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone up and over the number in five of their last seven games following a straight up win and they are 5-1 to the over in their last six games versus a team from the MAAC. Throw in the fact that the Broncos are 7-3 to the over in their last ten games overall while the Friars are 9-1-1 to the over in their last eleven non-conference games and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to try and push the pace a bit in Providence on Wednesday night.

The Siena Saints will look for back to back wins after losing their first four games of the season when they take on the St Bonaventure Bonnies at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY on Wednesday night. The Saints have posted a perfect 4-0 ATS record in their last four games following a straight up win and they have gone an excellent 4-1 ATS in their last five games versus a team from the Atlantic 10. The Bonnies, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games where they faced a team with a winning % of .400 or lower and they have failed to cover the number in seven of their last nine games overall. Throw in the fact the St Bonaventure is 0-4 ATS in their last four versus a team from the MAAC while Siena has gone a perfect 7-0 ATS in their last seven games overall and we're going to take the points here with the Saints in a game that we have a bit closer than the odds makers do in Albany on Wednesday night.

LSU has posted a perfect 4-0 record to the over in their last four games following a double-digit loss at home and they are also a perfect 6-0 to the over in their last six home games when facing a team with a road winning % of .400 or lower. They have also gone over the number in six of their last eight non-conference games and they are an impressive 22-5 to the over in their last 27 games overall going back to the 2016/17 season. UT-Martin has been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone 6-2-1 to the over in their last nine games off a double-digit loss at home. Throw in the fact that LSU is a lights out 13-3 to the over in their last sixteen home games and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to try and push the pace a bit in Baton Rouge on Wednesday night.

The Hilltoppers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have failed to cover the number in each of their last five games where they faced a team from the Ohio Valley Conference. Throw in the fact that the Colonels are an impressive 7-3-1 ATS in their last eleven games where they faced a team from Conference USA and we're going to take the points with them here in a game that we think they keep within single digits in Bowling Green on Wednesday night.


3 Unit Play. Take #793/794 SIU-Edwardsville vs Southern Illinois Over 142.5 (8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29, ESPN 3)

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the SIU-Edwardsville Cougars hit the road to take on the Southern Illinois Salukis at the SIU Arena in Carbondale, IL on Wednesday night. The Cougars have posted a perfect 5-0 record to the over in their last five road games and they have gone an excellent 6-1 to the over in their last seven games following a straight up loss by 20 points or more. The Salukis have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone up and over the number in each of their last six games following a straight up loss and they are an impressive 5-1 to the over in their last six home games. Throw in the fact that SIU is 5-1 to the over when facing a team from the Ohio Valley while SIU-Edwardsville has that same 5-1 record to the over versus a team from the Missouri Valley and that's where we'll have our play in a game that our numbers have being played closer to the 150 mark in Illinois on Wednesday night.

We've been playing against Stanford all season and we're going to continue to do so until we don't cash a ticket on their opponent. The Cardinal have gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five games where they faced a team from the Big Sky and they are an awful 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss. They have also failed to cover the number in four straight games where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher and they are 1-9-1 ATS in their last eleven games overall going back to the end of the 2016/17 season. Throw in the fact that Stanford is also 3-13 ATS in their last sixteen non-conference games and we're going to take the points here with the Grizzlies in a game that we think they have a decent chance to win outright on Wednesday night.

Bakersfield has posted a 7-2 ATS record in their last nine games following a straight up loss and they have gone an excellent 12-4 ATS in their last sixteen road games. The Bruins, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone an awful 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and they have failed to cover the number in seven of their last nine games following a game where they covered the spread. Throw in the fact that UCLA is just 3-9 ATS in their last twelve games overall while Bakersfield is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 going back to the middle of last season and we're going to take the points here with the Roadrunners in a game that we have a bit closer than the odds makers do in LA on Wednesday night.

Two nights ago we had the Chicago Blackhawks puck-line at home against the Ducks and won 7-3 and tonight I see the St. Louis Blues beating the Ducks by the puck-line. Anaheim has dropped 4-straight games while the home team Blues have won 4 out 5. The Blues come into this game well-rested and their last home game they beat the Minnesota Wild 6-3 and tonight the Blues win and cover the puck-line again. Anaheim is 0-6 against Central division teams and the Blues are 11-3 in their last 14 home games.

The Houston Rockets have been rolling as of late winning 5-straight games and the Rockets averaged 121ppg and tonight I see another big offensive game from the Rockets. The Pacers come to the Toyota Center playing their best ball as of late wining 6 out 7 and 2-nights ago the Pacers beat the Magic 121-109. If you like defense then this game is not your game and tonight I see both teams playing high caliber offense. Indiana is 16-5 O/U in their last 21 road games and the Rockets 7-1 O/U when their allow 100 points or more in their last game.

The Knicks are catching the Heat at the perfect time. Miami is playing their last game of a 4-game road trip and this is their third game in four nights. They won the first two games but they were handled last night in Cleveland. They were down 26 points at the half and 23 points when Lebron was tossed. On top of that, the Knicks get Kanter back tonight and this is their second game back home after their back-to-back road games in Atlanta and Houston. They then turned around and played Portland two days later. They have now had a day off at home and I look for them to be fresh and ready for this game tonight. I don't see how Miami can get back up for this game tonight and I look for them to be flat.
