What ever you want to call this game for the Georgia Bulldogs and their fans its revenge time in Atlanta, Georgia. Earlier this month the Auburn Tigers at home embarrassed the No. 1 team in the country 40-17 and Saturday night I see the Georgia Bulldogs defense stepping up and shutting down the Auburn offense. With Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson not 100% and most likely playing this game I see the Bulldogs defense stopping the running game of Auburn and controlling the line of scrimmage all night long. Revenge will be served Saturday night and one of the hottest team in College Football goes down and the Georgia Bulldogs win the SEC Championship. Georgia is 4-1 ATS when playing on a neutral site game and the Bulldogs are 7-3 ATS against SEC teams.

Because the Dallas Stars hockey team is playing tonight at American Airlines Center, the Mavericks are hosting the Clippers in a day game. It's a morning start for the Clippers. The unusual early start time should be a plus for the Under. The Clippers are minus their two best offensive players, Blake Griffin and Danilo Gallinari. They are struggling to find a true point guard in their post Chris Paul-era with Milos Teodosic injured. LA is minus four of its opening night starters meaning such non-luminaries as Wesley Johnson, Montrezl Harrell, C.J. Williams and Sam Dekker are part of the rotation. So it's not a surprise the Clippers are averaging 89.3 points in their last three road games discounting the 116 points they put up against the Hawks. Dallas ranks in the bottom-four in scoring and field goal percentage. The Mavericks haven't broken triple digits in 10 of their last 15 games. Neither team gets much scoring production from their center. The intensity level in this series has been ratched up, too, the past couple of years when then free agent DeAndre Jordan went back on his word to the Mavericks and resigned with the Clippers. Dallas hasn't forgotten that.

Any time the better team is getting points, especially this many, I'm strongly looking underdog. Yes, the Pistons played last night. They didn't play well either getting embarrassed by the Wizards, 109-91, on the road. That halted a three-game Detroit win streak and Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy was not happy ripping his team for not playing hard. I expect the Pistons to play better and with more intensity today. Detroit has covered each of the past five times following a loss. The Pistons also have revenge for a home loss to the 76ers from back on Oct. 23. Detroit is 14-7 on the season and in the argument for second-best team in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons have covered eight of their 11 road contests. The 76ers are greatly improved, but their record is 12-9 and they are striving to be more consistent with a lot of young talent that still is looking to mesh.

Miami's season, as well as College Football Playoff ranking, took a hit with their loss a week ago to the Pittsburgh Panthers. A game that was never really close despite the 24-14 final.

Conversely, Clemson comes into the ACC Title tilt with momentum and most importantly, experience in big game situations.

The Tigers behind the Dabo staff's preparation know how to approach, execute and win in pressure situations.

Most noteworthy is the fact that the current leadership at Clemson know how to schedule, as well. Consider that the Tigers had a late season bye week, followed by a game against Citadel in Week #12, and then an impressive win over a South Carolina squad that was playing solid football, ranked as well.

Clemson is healthy, both body and mind, and have been over-the-top good in January events the last two years. They are a stellar 5-1 SU/ATS.

It is safe to state that the Hurricanes could easily be a three or four loss team this year and easily could have failed to qualify for this championship game. Granted, we support Mark Richt and his ability to build young men and football players. But if the truth be known, and told, this is a 'Canes team that is still rebuild, or build, mode.

Miami isn't healthy, neither body nor mind, and enter this game having not had a break or an easy game, since September 23rd. (http://www.investwithsports.com/newforum/x-apple-data-detectors://7) The 'Canes played their first game of the season on the first Saturday of September. Then had two weeks off, due to their team nickname, and play for the 11th straight week this Saturday. And to no secret this has an impact on a team's state of mind... influences for this contest being their lack of quality depth and experience.

The reigning champs are not the same type of team they were a season ago but know that they have grown into their current scheme and been good each and every Saturday, save their poor showing at the Carrier Dome against the Orange, resulting in their only loss this season. Defense travels, especially in a neutral setting with big stakes at hand. The Tigers are one of the top defenses in all of football. They are off a road victory in which they held USC to just over 200 yards of offense. In a league that is offensive minded, for the most part, the Tigers have held seven of their opponents this season to less than 250 yards.

The Tigers' offense has matured and developed as the season has progressed. Consider the fact that Clemson is averring over 35 points per game this season. Swinney and his staff are not given credit for how they have allowed the offense, minus last year's Watson, to mature and grow.

Clemson is averaging over 450 yards of offense per game. They have scored 31 points or more in their last four games, two of those against ranked teams on the road (NC State and S Carolina).

Miami was ranked second in all of football just a week ago. They owned a perfect record and had taken down a good USC team on their home turf. Then came the challenge of winning on the road against a pedestrian but well coached Pitt team. Miami was fortunate, in a handful of games this year, to have come out a winner. They could well have lost to Florida State in early October. They held on to defeat G Tech by one point in Week #7, were fortunate to defeat Syracuse at home, followed by a close win over a less than average North Carolina team as a visitor. It was a four game stretch in which they forced turnovers. This is a Hurricane's team that has lived on turnovers.

Miami has forced 29 turnovers while committing only 12 this season. The defense has been steady but without forcing Clemson into two-plus TO's on Saturday their offense has little chance of scoring enough points to win and or cover.

Clemson’s national title defense is real. Something that few believed when the season started. Even when the offense was learning to play together early in the season the Tigers defeated Auburn in Week #2. The Tigers of Auburn dominated the first quarter against the Tigers of Clemson defense but failing to get into the end zone and kicking two field goals. It was the only points that Auburn would record losing 14-6.

There is little doubt heading into Week #14 that this Clemson club are the favorites to win their second straight CFP title. The Tigers have won 55 straight games when holding opponents under 23 points. Clemson will get their season average of points in Saturday's game against the Canes, 35, and will hold a pedestrian Hurricanes offense to 23 points or less, resulting in a win and cover.

Swinney and his staff know how to prepare for the big game and coach up their kids for big games. Clemson has won 10 straight games against top-25 opponents.

I'm starting to get the feeling that this Colorado State team is going to bomb this year. They have been blown out by any decent team that they've faced and they haven't looked good in their wins against bottom feeders. They are really missing Gian Clavell. Colorado has quietly been playing well. They are less talented but more team-oriented this year. They also have revenge for a bad loss to the Rams last year. I think Colorado can get this road win here.

2-Unit Play. Take #525 Georgia (+6) over Marquette (2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
Marquette is kind of a mess. This team already wasn't going to be any good this year and then they just had one of their better players, Haanif Cheatham, walk off the team. They really only have two guys that can play, Andrew Rowsey and Markus Howard. That's not going to be enough. Georgia is a well-disciplined team that is very good at grinding teams down. They are coming off a nice neutral court wins over a ranked St. Mary's team. And Mark Fox's team has been solid on the road. I think they can get this W.

1-Unit Play. Take #528 Marshall (-5.5) over Akron (7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
Marshall is a different beast at home. They don't even bother defend. But their offense goes up a couple notches in their own gym. They are facing a rebuilding Akron team that is loaded with freshmen and that might not be ready for the road. Marshall should bounce back after its sloppy loss to William & Mary here against a team that's only played four games and hasn't had time to gel

1-Unit Play. Take #535 St. Bonaventure (+1) over Buffalo (2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
2-Unit Play. Take #541 Charlotte (+3) over James Madison (8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
I don't think that James Madison should be favored over anyone. These guys are awful. Charlotte hasn't really beaten anyone. But their losses have all come against solid teams. Mark Price has a lot of experience on his roster and they have the best player on the floor in Jon Davis. It's not like JMU has some great home court advantage

2-Unit Play. Take #546 Western Michigan (-6.5) over Oakland (2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
Oakland looks like it will be without Kendrick Nunn in this one. Even if he plays, Oakland has been very disjointed this season. Western Michigan has a real nice home court edge and this team looks like it is going to be one of the best teams in the MAC. They are coming off a blowout upset as a double-digit underdog in St. Louis. And as their first home game against a D-I opponent I think they will be up for this game and playing with a lot of confidence.

5-Unit Play. Take #554 Washington State (-7) over UC-Davis (3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
UC-Davis scummed out a backdoor cover against Washington last week. I don't think they will do the same here against Washington State. Davis does not play many teams form the major conferences. And when they have over the last few years - even when they've had really solid teams - they have gotten wrecked because it is a major step up in class. Washington State is legit. They have had all week to recover from their impressive showing last week, beating St. Joe's, St. Mary's and San Diego State. Now they are back home where they have been rolling and I like Ernie Kent's team to run past Davis.

1-Unit Play. Take #564 Wisconsin (-8.5) over Ohio State (5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
Wisconsin got embarrassed earlier this week in their loss to Virginia. And they've already taken a home loss this year to Xavier, a rarity. I think we will get their best effort here. Ohio State is a mess. Their roster stinks, their coach is still figuring things out, and they are coming off back-to-back demoralizing losses to Butler and Clemson. I don't know what they have in the tank.

2-Unit Play. Take #593 BYU (-1) over Utah State (9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)

Syracuse is a tough team to blow out. But I think this is a good spot for it. Syracuse is in a bit of a letdown spot after their big win over Maryland earlier this week. This is also the first game outside of the Carrier Dome for this very young, very inexperienced Orange team. Kansas already played on a neutral site and handled Kentucky, and they have hammered everyone else they've faced. Kanass has a big edge in the backcourt and they have more than enough weapons to attack the SU zone. They will pull away in the second half and should take it to the Orange.

Denver is a strong home play and his is a short line. It is interesting that the Nuggets are still favored without Milsap and Jokic. Don't worry about this, as they should still be favored. Playing on their home court is a big advantage for Denver. The Lakers aren't a good enough team to take advantage of a somewhat ?short handed? Nuggets team. Denver is still going to win this game by nearly double figures. The Nuggets will still be efficient in the half court and will actually push the tempo a bit more than normal. Lay the points here.

Denver has was under-performing expectations early in the season even when they were healthy and now their best player, Nikola Jokic has joined Paul Millsap on the bench with an injury. PG Gary Harris is the other key component to the Nuggets, as his plus-minus is 2nd best to Jokic at +60 points (Jokic at +76) but Harris has a PM of -10 points in 94.7 minutes when he’s on the court without Jokic and Millsap and the rest of the team is -42 points in 145.7 minutes without Harris, Jokic, and Millsap, so the Nuggets should get outplayed by the Lakers when Harris takes a breather. I’d favor the Nuggets by just 1 point with current rotations (whether Nuggets’ Wilson Chandler plays or not – Denver is actually worse with him and it looks like he’ll play). Based on this year’s games I’d favor the Nuggets by only 4 ½ points with Jokic playing, so there is certainly line value on the Lakers with him out. I’ll take the Lakers in a 2-Star Best Bet at +4 points or more.

The line is higher than you might expect because Anthony Davis is out tonight with a hip injury he suffered last night in Utah. However, the adjustment for Davis being out (from -3.5 points) is not nearly enough. New Orleans is a below average team with superstar Anthony Davis and they’re a horrible team without him, especially with Rajon Rondo now starting. As I mentioned last night, Rondo is a significantly negative impact player over his entire career and so far this season has been no different, as New Orleans has been outscored by 41 points in Rondo’s 204.5 minutes on the court (-9.6 points per 48). Davis is obviously the key to the Pels, as evidenced by his team leading +76 plus-minus number. New Orleans’ second-best PM is Jrue Holiday’s +24 points but Holiday is -37 points in 189.7 minutes when Anthony Davis is not on the court with him (-9.4 points per 48 minutes) and the rest of the team is -66 points in 138.5 minutes (-22.9 points per 48) when Holiday and Davis are both on the bench. Those numbers are even worse when you throw Rondo into the mix (Holiday and Rondo are -27 points in just 38.4 minutes without Davis) and the Pelicans may not have much energy tonight after playing a close game last night in high altitude in Utah. Portland should be favored by at least 12 points in this game and I’ll take the Blazers in a 3-Star Best Bet at -7 points and for 2-Stars up to -9 points.
