BEST BETS
Lions (6-5) at Ravens (6-5)
LINE: BALTIMORE by 2½
With both teams fighting for post-season participation, but each having been knocked out when facing heavyweights, the question here becomes which club do you have more faith in? For us, it’s an easy choice. While we understand how Baltimore is favoured here, we’ll gladly accept points with what we believe is the better team and undisputedly the superior offence. While we can’t blame Baltimore’s scoring woes all on QB Joe Flacco as he has little to work with, the Ravens currently rank dead last in the passing game when averaging a paltry 164 yards per game. That won’t work here. Not against Matthew Stafford and his potent attack. While Baltimore’s defence shows respectable numbers, most were accumulated against an assembly of wretched quarterbacks that include DeShone Kizer, Brett Hundley, Matt Moore, E.J. Manuel and Tom Savage. In one of those schedule quirks, Detroit arrives here after 10 days rest while Baltimore is on short week after Monday’s win against hopeless Houston. Leos leave here with a win.
TAKING: LIONS +2½

Panthers (8-3) at Saints (8-3)
LINE: NEW ORLEANS by 4½
New Orleans’ defence gained some long awaited respectability when it recently held the Packers, Bears, Bucs and Bills to a combined 49 points in four games respectively. Doubts have since resurfaced when allowing more adept offences of Redskins and Rams to rack up yardage and points on the Saints’ stop unit the past two weeks. So where does that put things? We’d say with the former rather than the latter. The Panthers offence is a troubled group that aligns more closely with the subpar offensive units. Just last week, the Panthers were significantly outgained by the Jets but were able to take advantage of New York miscues en route to a deceivable win. To add to Carolina’s woes, top receiver Devin Funchess is hobbled by a toe injury and TE Greg Olson has a bad foot. Even if both go, Cam Newton’s passing has been atrocious this season and he won’t be able to trade blows with counterpart Drew Brees. Saints won earlier meeting by 34-13 count. With good reason.
TAKING: SAINTS -4½
Rams (8-3) at Cardinals (5-6)
LINE: L.A. RAMS by 7
You rarely get a better situational play than this one. The high-flying Rams just completed a pair of games against two other NFC division leaders, splitting the set with a loss to the Vikings before an impressive win over the Saints last week. To complete the circuit, Los Angeles would have to play the mighty Eagles and as luck would have it, guess who is visiting the Rams next week? If you said Philadelphia, give yourself a cheesesteak hoagie. The only tastier sandwich is the situation L.A. falls into here. Wedged between those three marquee games finds the Rams on the road, spotting a full touchdown and doing so against an unsuspecting division foe before the big showdown next week. We’re frothing at the mouth. Meanwhile, as unlikely as it may seem, fourth- or fifth-or whatever-string quarterback Blaine Gabbert is, he has ignited a previously stale offence by scoring 48 points combined in past two games for the Cardinals, including a win over favoured Jacksonville on this field last Sunday.
TAKING: CARDINALS +7

THE REST
49ers (1-10) at Bears (3-8)
LINE: CHICAGO by 3
You look at this one and shrug your shoulders, thinking that neither club is a real bargain. Not so, my friends. The Bears are simply not a team to be spotting points with. Now that defensive coordinators around the league have seen enough footage of Mitch Trubisky, they’ll roll the dice, load the box and allow the young pivot to try to beat their clubs through the air. Good luck with that. Last week in a 31-3 blasting, the Eagles held the Bears to just six yards rushing and Trubisky to 147 yards passing, zero touchdowns and two picks. The Niners are ready to reveal Jimmy Garoppolo and a San Fran spark can be expected.
TAKING: 49ERS +3
Vikings (9-2) at Falcons (7-4)
LINE: ATLANTA by 3
We’ve been bucking the Vikings recently and it has proven costly with Minnesota currently on a six-game cover streak. So as the old saying goes, “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.” Of course we need reasons to back this visitor and there are no shortage of those. Firstly, Vikes are rested after playing 10 days ago. Mike Zimmer’s team has covered six of past eight when given extra prep time. Secondly, we don’t trust Atlanta’s recent offensive output. Winners of three straight, Atlanta had the luxury of facing some beat up defences as Dallas, Seattle and crappy Tampa all had key hurts. Lastly, Minnesota employs a strong defence that ranks second in rushing yards allowed and it held top offence Rams to just seven points.
TAKING: VIKINGS +3
Patriots (9-2) at Bills (6-5)
LINE: NEW ENGLAND by 8½
No need to list New England credentials here as they continue to mow down teams with relative ease. Why fight that? Granted, it’s a big number for a divisional road favourite but all is not well in Buffalo simply because the Bills defeated the nosediving Chiefs last week. Buffalo’s latest home game resulted in a 47-10 embarrassment to the Saints and was followed up with the Nathan Peterman debacle in a 54-24 crushing at the Chargers. Brady is hot and his Patriots have feasted on this opponent with a 10-2-1 against the spread (ATS) mark since the 2004 season. Buffalo lacks the offensive playmakers to keep pace here. Despite the division being all but locked up, the Patriots are still focused with home field for playoffs at stake.
TAKING: PATRIOTS -8½
Broncos (3-8) at Dolphins (4-7)
LINE: DENVER –1½
Hard to keep a straight face when picking this one. Both teams have been an abomination and golf season cannot come soon enough. Based on efforts though, have to lean Denver’s way as the Dolphins have a work ethic that make even government workers laugh. Denver’s spinning wheel of quarterbacks appears to have landed back on Trevor Siemian this week as Paxton Lynch was hurt last weekend versus Oakland and Siemian performed decently in relief. At least Denver has outgained its opponents on the season, by about 400 yards, while the Dolphins have allowed nearly 800 more than they’ve accumulated. How bad must Fish be to have a team on seven-game losing streak favoured in your house?
TAKING: BRONCOS –1½
Texans (4-7) at Titans (7-4)
LINE: TENNESSEE by 7
Titans are not your typical team to be spotting a converted touchdown with. Tennessee has won just two games by more than a touchdown this season, albeit against other AFC South inhabitants. The Titans are also draining bankrolls with only two covers in previous eight games. However, this could be a good spot for them. They owe this guest big time as Houston clobbered Tennessee by an outrageous 57-14 back in Week 4 as part of Deshaun Watson’s coming out party. Now Houston is forced to arrive here without their celebrated young quarterback and must do so on a short week after losing to Baltimore on Monday night. Texans can’t pass and they’ll have troubles running on stout defence that has allowed just three rushing touchdowns all year.
TAKING: TITANS –7
Colts (3-8) at Jaguars (7-4)
LINE: JACKSONVILLE by 9½
Been a long while since the Jaguars have been lined up in this price range, so some trepidation would be fully understood. It has also been a long time since a team as poor as the Colts has stopped by for a visit. Indianapolis’ abysmal defence ranks 32nd in points allowed, 30th in passing yards allowed and 29th in total yards relinquished. The other side of the ball isn’t much better, with a cast of underwhelming skill position players. The earlier meeting between these division mates at Lucas Oil Field resulted in visiting Jacksonville pitching a 27-0 shutout and that was without star runner Leonard Fournette. Jags on 5-0 run ATS both after a loss and in this series.
TAKING: JAGUARS –9½
Bucs (4-7) at Packers (5-6)
LINE: TAMPA BAY by 1
It’s no secret that this is a week-to-week league, but if the Packers, as a 14-point underdog, go toe to toe with the Steelers in Pittsburgh, shouldn’t Green Bay be able to defeat this shoddy visitor? The key of course, is the play of Aaron Rodgers’ understudy, Brett Hundley. While Hundley struggled terribly in his first few starts, he has come around lately and looked rather comfortable in that noble effort against Pittsburgh, tossing three touchdowns with no interceptions. Green Bay still has flickering playoff hopes. Win this one, do same in Cleveland next week and Rodgers could be back to face the Panthers in Week 15. Bucs are a sloppy and unreliable squad that should not be favoured here.
TAKING: PACKERS +1
Chiefs (6-5) at Jets (4-7)
LINE: KANSAS CITY by 3½
It’s not how you start, but how you finish as Chiefs are learning the hard way. A 5-0 start has turned into a 6-5 struggle as Kansas City can’t find its way out of this tailspin. We’d have to be foolish to think that things will suddenly get better against this hard-trying Jets club. Gang Green outplayed Carolina last week but were hurt by mistakes which ultimately cost them the game and the cover, New York’s only failure to cover here in six home games this season. Jets are competing while the Chiefs are off losses to the completely inept Giants and then at home to what was a slumping Bills’ team.
TAKING: JETS +3½
Browns (0-11) at Chargers (5-6)
LINE: L.A. CHARGERS by 14
How can any team be seeking revenge over the Browns? When Cleveland’s only win over the past two seasons were at your expense, that’ll do it. The Chargers find themselves in this awkward position after the Browns were able to avoid a 0-16 season a year ago by upending the Bolts 20-17 in the 2016 season’s penultimate game. Skip ahead nearly one year and the charging Chargers are suddenly one of the more feared teams as we head into the final month of this campaign. Surprisingly, this is the most points offered to Cleveland this season, but with Anthony Lynn’s squad playing well on both sides of the ball, can’t see Browns scoring much while Philip Rivers can light up Cleveland’s leaky secondary. Payback time.
TAKING: CHARGERS –14
Giants (2-9) at Raiders (5-6)
LINE: OAKLAND by 9
The only thing more shocking than Matt Lauer’s dismissal in New York this week may have been Eli Manning’s benching. Now, turnover-machine Geno Smith will take the helm with rookie Davis Webb expected to get some reps. Certainly a whirlwind surrounds the troubled Giants, but we’re still inclined to lean G-Men here as an opponent with as poor a defence that Oakland deploys is hardly worthy of spotting more than a touchdown. Also concerning is that the Raiders are likely to be without their top two receivers as Michael Crabtree is suspended and Amari Cooper is in concussion protocol. Raiders have covered just two of their past nine games.
TAKING: GIANTS +9
Eagles (10-1) at Seahawks (7-4)
LINE: PHILADELPHIA by 6
With the way they are blasting through opponents, the Joes (recreational bettors) are reluctant to fade the Eagles. That same sentiment is the premium required to board their bandwagon. Proof positive is when this line opened at Philadelphia -3½ and has since climbed to Philly -6. Seattle is flawed because of the many injuries on defence, but the offence continues to battle with versatile QB Russell Wilson being difficult to contain. Under Wilson’s guidance, the Seahawks surprisingly rank seventh in passing yards and eighth in total yards per game. Eagles are obviously a strong team with few knocks against them. However, they haven’t played a winning team since mid-October and Seattle has not been an underdog in this price range since Russell Wilson’s arrival.
TAKING: SEAHAWKS +6
Steelers (9-2) at Bengals (5-6)
LINE: PITTSBURGH by 5½
Can anyone figure out the Steelers? Pittsburgh’s six covers this season have come against five winning clubs and just one sub .500 team. Its five failures, all when favoured by seven or more, were against four losers when succumbing straight up to the Bears while claiming just three point victories against the Browns, Colts and Aaron Rodger-less Packers. However, the sole losing team that Pittsburgh did manage to cover against were none other than these Bengals in a 29-14 decision at Heinz Field just over a month ago. What’s odd about that one is that the Steelers were only a four-point home favourite in that game and now they are a six-point favourite in Cincinnati? Pittsburgh clearly the better squad but this line doesn’t sit right.
TAKING: BENGALS +5½

8-Unit Play. Take #370 New Orleans (-4.5) over Carolina (4:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)

This play is from my NFL 411 System and is my Game of the Year.

This is a huge game in the NFC. The winner of this game will have the inside track to winning the NFC South and will still be in a hunt for a first round bye. I think that team will be New Orleans. The Saints are the better team in a lot of areas here. And they blew out the Panthers on the road in the first meeting, winning 34-13. New Orleans has a great home field advantage in the Superdome and it will make a big difference in this game. The Panthers have not played well on the road. I won a 7-Unit Play on them last week from the NFL 411 System over the Jets. But the Panthers barely covered in that game. They covered because of a late defensive touchdown and a questionable call from the officials. The Panthers have been outgained by their opponents in three of their last four games. The Saints are coming off a tough loss at Los Angeles. But they had won eight straight games prior to that and have been dominating at home. The Saints are 22-5 ATS at home against teams with a winning record. New Orleans has also had the upper hand at the window in this series. They have gone 5-0 ATS in their last five games against the Panthers. And right now the Saints have the better quarterback in Drew Brees. The Saints are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four divisional games. New Orleans is 40-18 ATS against teams that are above .500 and I like the Saints to get another blowout win here over their division rival.

3-Unit Play. Take #361 Houston (+7) over Tennessee (1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)

I will take the points in this game. Houston has dominated this series, winning eight of the last 10 meetings including a 57-14 blowout win at home on Oct. 1. Houston is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings with the Titans and I see this as a close game. Houston is 4-2 ATS in its last six games and 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games overall. Only one team has beaten them by more than one score. The Titans have been overvalued. They are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games. And they were fortunate to get past Indianapolis last week. The Titans have won their last four games by a combined total of just 14 points! They have been winning close games all year. The Texans are 5-1 ATS in their last six games in Tennessee and I like them to cover this number.

3-Unit Play. Take #373 Los Angeles Rams (-7) over Arizona (4:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)

The Rams hammered the Cardinals 33-0 in the first meeting this year. I do not think that it will be that big of a blowout. But I do think that the Rams are going to keep it going. This is one of the best offenses and one of the best teams in the NFL. They are No. 2 in points scored with 30 per game and No. 7 in points allowed at just 18.7. Minnesota is the only team to beat the Rams over the last six games. Los Angeles has won the other five games by an average score of 28-10. Arizona is down to its third-string quarterback this year and they are suffering through a very disappointing season. The Cardinals are just 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games and just 6-14 ATS in their last 20 home games. Arizona is just 5-15 ATS against a team with a winning record. Lay the points.

4-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 42.0 Cleveland at Los Angeles Chargers (4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)

This number opened at 41.5 but it has been bet up. I think that this will be a higher scoring game and I think that the Chargers offense will break out. Philip Rivers is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league and he finally has healthy weapons to throw to. Rivers and the Chargers offense had no problem moving the ball in their blowout win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. They had over 500 yards of total offense and Rivers threw for 434 yards on the day. And they would have had even more points if their kicker had not gotten hurt. Cleveland has been allowing 26 points per game, which is No. 30 in the NFL. The Browns have surrendered at least 30 points in three of their past four games. The 'over' is 4-0 in Cleveland's last four road games and 9-4 in their last 13 games against a team with a losing record. Cleveland's offense has been improving as DeShone Kizer gets experience. And I think that the Browns will manage to score some points late in what should be a blowout win for the home team. I have this game at 34-17 and I like it to go 'over'.

Colin Cowherd (with analysis)

Colin took Week 12 off for the holiday, but he’s ready to come roaring back in Week 13 with one his favorite Blazin’ 5’s this year. He’s 32-22-1 on the season, and ready to make Week 13 lucky for the listening audience.

Here are Colin’s Week 13 NFL plays, including one of his favorite play’s this year:

Panthers at Saints (-4) – Colin is taking the Saints, coming of a tough loss, laying 4 at home against an inconsistent Cam Newton and the Panthers. New Orleans is 6-3 ATS over their last 9, 4-0-1 ATS over their last 5 against the Panthers, and beat Carolina 34-13 in Week 3 with Drew Brees completing 76% of his passes, with 3 TD’s and a Passer Rating of 131.4. Over his last 5 games, Brees has a Passer Rating of 109.8.
The Panthers D just allowed Josh McCown to throw for 3 TD’s without an INT and a Passer Rating of 109.4, so expect Brees to carve them up while also pounding it in the running game. Cam has had trouble consistently moving the chains, and if he can’t, the Carolina D could be gassed by the 4th quarter. Take the Saints, lay the 4. 31-22, New Orleans.

Lions at Ravens (-2.5) – Colin loves Baltimore giving 2.5, at home, against Matt Stafford Detroit, and it’s mostly because of their dominant defense that has allowed a microscopic 9.8 PPG and 255.3 YPG over their last 4 games. The Ravens have 14 Sacks in their last 4 and should be able to tee off on Stafford, who’s been sacked 10 times in his last 3. Also, Baltimore leads the NFL in Takeaways (26), and could feast on a Detroit offense that has the 5th most giveaways in the league since Week 5.
Matt Stafford could be running for his life here. Take the Ravens, lay the 2.5. 28-21, Baltimore.

Chiefs at Jets (+3) – Colin likes the surprising Jets getting a field goal, at home, against the struggling Chiefs. New York is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 at home, and 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9, overall. Meanwhile, Kansas City is only 1-5 ATS over their last 6, and have only rushed for 100 yards once in their last 6 games (1-5 overall).
In his last 4 games, Josh McCown has 7 Pass TD’s, 1 INT, and a Passer Rating of 101.9. In his last 5 games, breakout receiver Robby Anderson has 6 receiving TD’s, including at least one in each game. Take the Jets, the points, and the outright win. 24-23, Jets.

Vikings (+3) at Falcons – Colin is rolling with the Vikings and Case Keenum getting 3 points on the road against a resurgent Atlanta. Minnesota is 5-0 ATS in their last 5, and comes in riding a 7-game win streak, during which they’ve scored 20 or more points in each game for the first time since the record setting 1998 team.
Latavius Murray has 5 rushing touchdowns over his last 5 while averaging 4.5 YDS/Rush, and will face a Falcons D that has allowed 6 rushing scores and 5.1 YDS/Rush in their last 4. Ball control and defense gets the cover. Take Minny, the 3, and the outright W. 28-24, Vikings.

Steelers (-5.5) at Bengals – Colin doesn’t like swallowing points, but absolutely loves Steelers laying 5.5 on the road against AFC North rival Cincinnati in what might be his favorite pick of the year.
Pittsburgh is 4-2 ATS over their last 6, and 11-2-1 ATS in their last 14 on the road in Cincy. They’re 6-0 when Le’Veon Bell has 100+ scrimmage yards this year, and Cincinnati’s defense has allowed 146.2 Rush YPG over their last 6 games. In his first game against the Bengals in Week 7, Bell racked up 192 total scrimmage yards, and has averaged 119.8 YPG with 4 touchdowns in his last 4 road games.

Pittsburgh should be able to pound the rock all day and the defense should stifle Andy Dalton. Take the Steelers, lay the 5.5. 34-23, Steelers.

4 Unit Play. Take #366 Green Bay -1 over Tampa Bay (1:00p.m., Sunday December 3)
Two teams that have backup QB's behind center and with this game being played at Lambeau Field I'm taking the Packers. Tampa Bay has been one of the most disappointing teams all season long and not only are the Bucs 4-7 but also they are 3-8 ATS. I know Green Bay has lost 5 out 6 but last Sunday I was really impressed on how they played the Steelers in Pittsburgh and if Brett Hudley plays like he did against the Steelers defense then the Packers should have not problem with the Bucs at home. Tampa Bay is 1-5-1 ATS last 7 road games and the Packers are 8-2 ATS in the month of December.

7 Unit Play. Take #375 Under 42 New York Giants at Oakland (4:25p.m., Sunday December 3)
The New York Giants offense has been horrible the past two weeks and Sunday afternoon we will see Geno Smith as the Giants QB and not Eli Manning. The Giants have scored 22 points in their last two games and the Giants offense is averaging 13.4ppg in their last 5 games. The Oakland Raiders get this game in their backyard and the Raiders offense as well has been struggling. The Raiders have split their last 4 games and their last 2 losses their offense only scored a total of 22 points. Sunday late afternoon I do see the Raiders doing most of the scoring and I see the Raiders winning this game and again with Geno Smith as the Giants QB the G-Men offense will struggle all game long. The Giants come to SoCal with an offense not improving, a backup QB, and yes lets throw in that the Giants are 4-10 O/U in their last 14 road games. The Oakland Raiders win this game and grab this total 42 because the public will bet this game under all weekend long. The Giants are also 3-8 O/U following a ATS loss and we head into Monday Night Football with a big 7-Unit Total winner.

Rotation #359-360
Dolphins +2 over Broncos
The only thing Denver is good for is their defense, but the injury bug has not been kind to them so this unit is average at best. Miami is not that bad of a football team and with the players on their roster should be a lot better. Denver is not playing well and on the road they can’t move the football. Look for the Dolphins receivers to have a big day and for the offensive line to take advantage of a Denver front seven that is banged up. Take the Dolphins.
NFL

Rotation #361-362
Titans -7 over Texans
The Texans are another great defensive team that just doesn’t have the bodies after injuries this year. This is a front seven that is missing valuable players and this team just can’t compete without them. The Titans will grind out a running game for four quarters and when they get their shots will take advantage of a Texans secondary playing very poor right now. Tennessee should control the clock in this one and get themselves a nice double digit home win. Take the Titans.
NFL
4:05 PM EST
Rotation #371-372
Browns/Chargers Over 44
The Browns are a great football team until they get to the red zone. Josh Gordon will get his first game action in 2 years after a troubled pass and Corey Coleman being back in the lineup helps this team big time. The Cleveland Defense is not that good and is dealing with too many injuries. San Diego should put up a good amount of points and I believe Cleveland will as well. Gordon might be the spark they need to get that one win under their belts this year. Look for a shootout. Take the Over.

3-Unit Play. #359. Take Denver Broncos -1.5 over Miami Dolphins (Sunday @ 1pm est)
Broncos looked decent in their last few games and there have been plenty of reports to suggest that this team is coming together somewhat and with the Dolphins offense in a dissarray, let's roll with Miami here.

3-Unit Play. #358. Take Buffalo Bills +9 over New England Patriots (Sunday @ 1pm est)
The Bills rallied behind their QB and got it done in a big way against the Chiefs and the defense rallied behind their QB as well. This will be a hallmark game for this quarterback, franchise and defense and we like Buffalo to be a very strong team this week and could beat New England at an outside shot. Bills hang tight here this weekend.

3-Unit Play. #362. Take Tennessee Titans -6.5 over Houston Texans (Sunday @ 1pm est)
Huge revenge for Titans against the Texans from giving up more than 50 points the last time they met and they played so poorly against the Colts in their last game, we like the Titans to come out focused this game against a weak Houston offense without Watson.

6-Unit Play. #356. Take Atlanta Falcons -3 over Minnesota Vikings (Sunday @ 1pm est)
Why not. The Falcons get up for these type of games like Dan Quinn's Seahawks used to do. This team just pummeled Dallas and Tampa Bay and can put up points in bunches and they face a Vikings team that could be in for some issues against a Falcons secondary and linebacking core that is getting healthier and though this will be a shootout, we like the Falcons offense here and we like the Dome and the Crowd as the Falcons are in a must win with the Saints and Panthers ahead of them. We'll roll with the better offense and we do think that Keenum is in for a let down and it is likely here.

3-Unit Play. #364. Take Jacksonville Jaguars -9 over Indianapolis Colts (Sunday @ 1pm est)
Horrible game by the Jags against the Cardinals in their last game. Good public fade here, this team is angry and they will step up quickly against a division rival in the Colts at home and this defense should give the anemic Colts offense all sorts of issues as we like the Jags wire to wire here.

1 Unit Play. Take #712 Alabama -11.5 over Central Florida (2:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, ESPN U)

Alabama has posted a 4-1 ATS record in their last five games following an ATS loss and we really liked what we saw from them against Minnesota where they had to play 5 on 3 for an extended stretch and actually outscored the Gophers. Freshman Collin Sexton is a legit start and he will by far be the best player on the court this afternoon. As for UCF, they haven't quite lived up to expectations this season and they lost in the backcourt without BJ Taylor, who is sitting out once again with a knee injury. Throw in the fact that UCF comes into the game riding a three-game losing streak along with the fact that they can't shoot at all from behind the arc and we're laying the wood here with the Tide to get the home win and cover in Tuscaloosa on Sunday afternoon.

3 Unit Play. Take #714 Mississippi St -9 over Dayton (8:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, SEC Network)

The Mississippi St Bulldogs will look for their seventh win in a row to open their 2017/18 season when they take on the Dayton Flyers at the Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, MS on Sunday night. The Bulldogs have posted a 5-1 ATS record in their last six home games where they faced a team with a road winning % of .400 or lower and they have gone an excellent 9-3 ATS in their last twelve home games overall. The Flyers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone an awful 2-5 ATS in their last seven games played on a Sunday for whatever reason and they have that same 2-5 ATS record in their last seven games where they faced a team with a winning record. Throw in the fact that the Bulldogs have covered nine of their last twelve games versus a team from the Atlantic 10 and we're going to lay the points with them here in a game that we have them winning by double digits at home on Sunday night.

1 Unit Play. Take #719/720 George Mason vs Auburn Over 154.5 (3:00 PM, Sunday, December 3)

George Mason has posted a 7-2 record to the over in their last nine road games where they faced a team with a home winning % of .600 or higher and they have gone an excellent 40-17 to the over in their last 57 games following a game where they covered the number. Auburn has been an over team as well in the spot they are in here today as they have gone up and over the number in eight of their last ten games following an ATS win and they are 7-1 to the over in their last eight home games. Throw in the fact that the Tigers are 15-4 to the over in their last nineteen while the Patriots are 36-17 to the over in their last 53 and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to try and push the pace a bit in Auburn on Sunday afternoon.

2 Unit Play. Take #721 Seton Hall +3.5 over Louisville (4:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, ESPN 2)

The Seton Hall Pirates will look for their seventh win in their first eight games when they hit the road to take on the Louisville Cardinals at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, KY on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates have posted a 4-1 ATS record in their last five road games and they have gone an excellent 5-1 ATS in their last five road games where they faced a team with a home winning % of .600 or higher. Louisville, on the other hand, has struggled a bit in the spot they are in here today as they have gone just 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss and they have that same 1-5 ATS record in their last six non-conference games. Throw in the fact that the Cardinals have failed to cover the number in six of their last seven home games and we're going to take the bucket or so here with the Pirates in a game that we think they can win outright in Louisville on Sunday afternoon.

1 Unit Play. Take #723/724 Northwestern vs Purdue Over 143 (4:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, Big 10 Network)

Northwestern has posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five games following an ATS loss and they have gone an excellent 5-2 to the over in their last seven games off a straight up win. The Boilermakers have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here this afternoon as they have gone up and over the number in four of their last five Big 10 games and they are an impressive 7-2 to the over when facing a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. Throw in the fact that the Wildcats are 8-3 to the over in their last eleven overall going back to the end of last season while Purdue is a lights out 10-1 to the over in their last eleven home games and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to try and push the pace a bit in West Lafayette on Sunday afternoon.

2 Unit Play. Take #730 Long Beach St +6 over Stanford (5:00 PM, Sunday, December 3)

The Long Beach St 49ers will look to get thing back on track after losing five of their last six games when they take on the Stanford Cardinal at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA on Sunday night. The 49ers have posted a 5-2 ATS record in their last seven home games and they have gone an excellent 7-3 ATS in their last ten games overall going back to the end of the 2016/17 season. The Cardinal, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five games where they faced a team with a losing record and they have failed to cover the number in ten of their last twelve games overall. Throw in the fact that Stanford is also an awful 9-25-1 ATS in their last 35 road games and we're taking the points here with the 49ers in a game that we think they win outright in Long Beach on Sunday night.

1 Unit Play. Take #732 Georgia Tech +5.5 over Tennessee (6:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, ESPN U

Georgia Tech has posted a perfect 5-0 ATS record in their last five games following a straight up loss and they have that same perfect 5-0 ATS record in their last five home games where they faced a team with a winning record on the road. The Vols, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and they have that same 2-5 ATS record in their last seven games following a straight up win. Throw in the fact that Tennessee is just 1-5 ATS in their last six off a game where they covered the spread while the Yellow Jackets are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 versus a team with a winning % of .500 or better and we're taking the points here with Georgia Tech in a game that we think they can win outright in Atlanta on Sunday night.

2 Unit Play. Take #738 Illinois +2.5 over Maryland (8:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, Big 10 Network)

The Illinois Fighting Illini will look to bounce back from their OT loss to Northwestern on Friday night when they take on the Maryland Terrapins at the State Farm Center in Champaign, IL on Sunday night. The Illini have posted a 4-1 ATS record in their last five games following a straight up loss and they have gone an excellent 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. The Terps, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 2-8 ATS in their last ten games where they faced a team with a winning record and they have failed to cover the number in six of their last seven Big 10 games. Throw in the fact that Illinois is 5-2 ATS in their last seven conference games while Maryland is 2-6 ATS versus a team with a winning % of .600 or better at home and we're taking the bucket or so with the Illini in a game that we have them winning outright at home on Sunday night.

3 Unit Play. Take #741 Temple -11 over George Washington (2:30 PM, Sunday, December 3, FS1)

The Temple Owls will look for their fifth win in their first six games when they hit the road to take on the George Washington Colonials in the BB&T Classic at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on Sunday afternoon. The Owls have posted a 4-1 ATS record in their five lines games this season and they have gone an excellent 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games. The Colonials, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here today as they have gone an awful 1-5 ATS in their last six non-conference games and they have failed to cover the number in five straight games following a straight up win. Throw in the fact that GW is also just 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and that Temple will be out for a bit of revenge after losing as a nine-point favorite to the Colonials last year and we're laying the big number here with the Owls to get the win and cover in DC on Sunday afternoon.

These are all your CBB plays for today. Your next CBB update will be Monday, December 4, 2017.

2-Unit Play. Take #717 Kansas State (+1) over Vanderbilt (2:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)
I still don't think that Vanderbilt is any good. And I think that Kansas State matches up with them very well. The Commodores have not covered a spread yet this year and I don't think that they deserve to be favored in this one. Kansas State is shooting the ball better and they are much better defensively. And I will back their athleticism over Vandy's home court edge.

3-Unit Play. Take #736 Minnesota (-13) over Rutgers (6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3)
I think that Minnesota will bounce back from their extremely disappointing effort against Miami this week. And I think that Rutgers will have a letdown after their loss to Florida State. Rutgers played about as well as it could in that game and still came up short at home. Now they are playing a true road game in a difficult venue against a pissed off Gophers team. This is the first time the Rutgers had played outside of their home court and I don't expect it to go well.

Sunday's Play

The Cali-Cartel has a 50 Dime Play on the Rams against the Cards in Glendale, AZ. Los Angeles is -7 as I put my site live at 7:50 am eastern. As a former Bookmaker (http://www.cappersmall.com/forums/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bookmaker.eu%2F%3Fcmpid %3D4437) I believe in putting the power of money to work so I would encourage you to buy insurance on Los Angeles, buying down the half-point on the Rams at -7 or -7 1/2.

To be an extreme contrarian on the late game puts you where? The pros are on Seattle and the Joes are staunchly in the corner of Philadelphia.... Puts you where? Do you fade the public or the pros?

SEAHAWKS

These teams met in the Seahawks' 10th game of the season last year. Seattle was a 6 1/2-point home favorite and won, 26-15. Now, a little more than a year later, the Eagles are favored by nearly that amount. Is a 12-point swing justified? The Eagles are greatly improved. Carson Wentz has become a franchise quarterback. Seattle is missing two defensive back stars, Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor. The Seahawks have lost their last two home games. But, no, this line is out of whack. I expect the Seahawks to win this game straight-up. Never in Pete Carroll's eight years in Seattle have the Seahawks dropped three home games in a row. Century-Link Field remains the toughest outdoor venue in the league for opposing teams. The Seahawks have a history of stepping up late in the season under Carroll as evidenced by a 19-6-1 ATS mark during their past 26 December games. Seattle's defense still is very good. The Seahawks limit opponents to 98.4 yards rushing. They rank in the top 10 in fewest yards allowed, rushing defense and pass defense. Seattle has held its past two opponents to fewer than 200 yards passing despite not having Sherman and Chancellor. Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Seattle's front seven remains imposing especially at home. Wentz has been tremendous. But Russell Wilson is one of the few quarterbacks who trump him. Wilson is the best quarterback in the NFC, accounting for a higher percentage of his team's yards than any other player in the league. Wilson has good receiving targets and his uncanny mobility offsets Seattle's poor offensive line and lack of a ground attack. The Eagles can afford a loss here. The Seahawks can't. The urgency to win is with Seattle.
