I will go with the Trojans in this one. USC pulled off a big win over Oregon its last time out. I think that momentum is going to carry over into this game. Remember that this was a team that started the year in the Top 15. This team has a lot of talent. I think it will show through today. Oregon State played UCLA very tough in a loss on Thursday. I don't think they will have the same effort level in this one. USC is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games against the Beavers and they have beaten them four straight times. USC is 4-1 ATS in its last five home games and they are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Oregon State is 0-4 ATS on the road and they are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven league games. I think that USC is the much stronger team and they have dominated this series. They beat the Beavers by 26 points last year and I think that they will beat them by double-digits again here today. Take USC.

I will go with the home team. Louisville has a strong home court advantage. That will make a big difference here in this matchup of traditional powers. The home team has won eight of the last 10 between these teams and the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. UNC is just 1-4 ATS in its last five road games. Louisville looks like it will be getting Deng Adel back from injury. He is a difference maker for this Cards team.

A&M does the small things very well as Billy Kennedy's team is still 6-7 in conference play despite being a top 25 team and this team will want to go on the road and get a key road win as they do not want to lose back to back road games frankly. Wake Forest NC State is coming off a huge win at Syracuse and now has to go on the road to play Wake Forest. NC St checks in ranked 8th in scoring in the ACC. Shots haven’t always fallen for the Wolfpack during conference play resulting in a somewhat poor resume. NC State Wolfpack are 6-18 ATS in their last 24 road games. Consistency also remains an issue. The Wolfpack are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games following an ATS win. Wake really doesn''t take many three point shots as they prefer to torch teams the old fashion method. The Demon Deacons are the number one shooting team in terms of accuracy at 40% in conference play from long distance. NC St began the week at 2-5 on the road and should come back down to earth from having most every shot score at Syracuse. For Wake Forest, Bryant Crawford and Doral Moore have turned things around of late. Currently, Wake Forest is playing some of its best basketball of the season. The Demon Deacons gave Miami and Syracuse all they could handle on the road before coming away with a victory against Georgia Tech in their last conference game. This game should see NC St reverting back to losing on the road with Wake capturing the home game win

West Virginia This is NOT the Kansas team of recent years. They have a good starting five but that''s where it ends. And going up against a veteran coach like Bob Huggins of West Virginia will result in him having his team ready to give the Jayhawks 40 minutes of hell and running them out off their own court. The Mountaineers have been consistent playing solid basketball winning three of their last four games. The opposite is happening for Kansas as they are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 home games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall. At the very least for the Kansas diehards of yesteryear, West Virginia has been much more successful against the spread as Kansas hasn’t landed one home cover since beating Kansas St on January 29th. The Mountaineers Teddy Allan has gotten hot at the right time of the season to compliment the starters. Their scoring is very balanced and the Mountaineers will have the Jayhawks tongues hanging out all worn down by the last eights minutes of this game. When it comes down to coaching and playing quality teams, West Virginia is 12-5-1 (71%) ATS in their last 18 games against teams winning above 60%. Coach Huggins'' strategy and game plan will have his players mentally prepared for this foot race.

I'm backing Xavier on Saturday. Villanova crushed the Musketeers in the season's first meeting, but there was no doubt who was playing the best college basketball in the country at the time and that was the Wildcats. Meanwhile, Xavier was winning games, but they were squeaking by with close wins over East Tennessee State, Marshall, Marquette, and DePaul in the mix. Xavier was expected to be a "player" before the season began and they've arrived, especially on the offensive end where they've averaged 88.2 points per game in their last five, making virtually half their shots. But I expect this one to be decided on the defensive end where Xavier has held their guests to 40 percent FG shooting, including 31.3 percent from behind the 3-point line, which is an important note because over half of Villanova's shots taken on the road come from beyond the arc. The Muskies get to the FT line 27 times per game at home, driving and drawing fouls, to just 15 FTA per game for Villanova in road games. Villanova is still without the services of Phil Booth (hand) and he was a big thorn in the side of Xavier in the first meeting, scoring 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting, including making 5 of 8 3-point attempts. The 'Cats have played two road games since losing Booth and they've made just 11 of 44, 25 percent of their 3-pointers. They also totaled just 17 assists with 39 turnovers. Xavier enters on a 26-9 ATS run in their last 35 games. They're 6-1 ATS in their last seven Big East games, and on a 4-0 ATS run at home against teams with winning records. The Anaheim Ducks have been trending UNDER games cashing 4-straight and their last 9 games 6 of them have gone under. Minnesota will have Devan Dubnyk in the net today and his last home start he gave up 4 goals to the Capitals and I see him have a steller game today at home against the Ducks. The Cardinals are the better team defensively in this game, and the Tar Heels have struggled on the road this season shooting just 44.1% as a team. Opponents have shot 40.4% against the Tar Heels from beyond the arc on the road this season and the Cardinals have held opponents to shooting just 32.3% against them from beyond the arc at home this season. The Tar Heels are just 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog and 0-7 SU in their last 7 games as an underdog. Analysis:I'm laying the points with North Dakota State on Saturday, our Revenge Wipeout. Last home game of the season for the Bison and we expect a quality home finale while they exact some revenge. The chalk has covered five of the last six in the series, including by a point in IPFW's 92-88 win earlier this season. NDSU led 51-40 at the half but couldn't overcome a minus-12 made free throw disadvantage. The Mastodons were afforded 26 free throw attempts to 16 for the Bison. Also, IPFW made 55.8 percent of their FGA, yet again, had to claw from behind to win by four on their home floor. We expect different results with IPFW making just 41.1 percent of their FGA on the road, while allowing their hosts to nail 47.7 percent. The Mastodons have allowed their last five opponents to make half their shots and they've covered just five of their last 23 road games. Analysis:I'm taking the points with NC-Wilmington on Saturday, our Shocker. UNCW doesn't own a shiny record, just 9-18 SU on the season, while Charleston is 21-6 SU. But the Cougars record catches up with them when taking on teams with losing records and they've covered just one of their last seven in this situation, including 0-5 ATS against teams winning less than 40 percent of their games. We feel they're overvalued on the road again. The Seahawks have won four of their last eight games outright, while covering four in a row. UNCW lost the first meeting this season, but only by an 80-76 final score. After a bad first half the Seahawks put the pressure on and fought back well, falling just short. They had little trouble on the offensive end after halftime adjustments were made and owned the glass finishing with a 35-27 advantage. UNCW has four players averaging from 17.4 to 11.5 point per game. Jordan Talley will be the best "disher" on the floor and the Seahawks will have confidence after the way they took care of business over the final 20 minutes in the earlier meeting. Great spot to fade N. Carolina St who after their big rivalry game with N. Carolina went on the road and pulled an upset at Syracuse. Asking them to pull off back to back upsets is too much to ask in my opinion and over the last 2 seasons following a road game in which they covered the spread NC St. is just 1-8 ATS in their next game losing those games by an average of 17 points a game. Wake Forest got a win in their last game beating Georgia Tech soundly 79-62. That was a confidence building win and I look for them to record another big win today. My numbers have Wake Forest winning by 7-9 points.

The Mustangs are now 1-10-1 ATS their last 12 games shooting 34.7%, 30.4% and 39.3% their last 3 games and they know have to face the best defense in Big West action.

North Dakota may only be 2-6 their last 8 games but they’ve won both home games against bottom tier Big Sky foes (S Utah & Montana St) while losing at home to the conference top team Montana and losing 6 road game. Now home for a 2nd straight game they face a Northern Arizona team that is 0-6 ATS against teams with a losing record (they don’t look past them) and are 1-12 SU their last 13 games while failing to cover their last 4. Hoosiers have made some line-up changes which has allowed them to win and cover 3 straight albeit all as a favorite. IU is now 11-3 ATS as a favorite including EIGHT straight covers thanks to a defense which has allowed only 42% shooting the last 8 games. Iowa meanwhile is a free-for-all going 3-10 SU and 4-9 ATS and their defense has allowed 8 of their last 12 foes to shoot 53% or better!

The Citadel is #2 in the country in tempo. That doesn’t always translate to high scoring games because they are a double digit dog in almost every game. Well, now they are the better team and can control the tempo at home. VMI has the #348 defense out of 351 teams and when the team played at VMI they totaled 169 points with the Bulldogs only shooting 41.5% and 24.1% from 3pt . The Citadel defense is also poor at #332 and when the Keydets played the other teams with defense that rank 300 or worse they are 3-0 O/U this season.
