Yulia Putintseva to defeat Madison Keys

Obviously Keys is the rightful favourite but there is good value on the side of Putintseva. Interestingly, Yulia has beaten Keys in the past, on a fast hard court in Tokyo in their only previous match Yulia won in 3 sets. Clay is Putintseva’s best surface whilst I still think clay is Madison’s worst surface, this all bodes well for Yulia. Yulia has the type of game that can frustrate Keys, if the American is slightly off her game then Yulia will take advantage of that. Keys has a tendency to get nervous at this stage and that could lead to her over playing and lead to unforced errors. In a sense Yulia has nothing to lose here given she should have lost against Wang in the third round, she is playing with freedom and confidence whilst all the pressure is on Keys.

Sloane Stephens to defeat Daria Kasatkina

I rate Stephens as the favourite here. Firstly, Stephens is more experienced at this stage of a Grand Slam. Stephens is a Grand Slam champion and has reached the quarter-finals at every Grand Slam. Conversely Kasatkina is playing in her very first Grand Slam quarter-final. It is Stephens who has more firepower whilst at the same time Stephens can match the great movement of Kasatkina. Stephens has a better serve and has a greater ability to hit through the court. If Stephens is smart she should be too strong for Kasatkina.

The Connecticut Sun are the only undefeated team remaining in the WNBA with a record of 5-0. They also lead or are near the top of every offensive category: 1st in FG%, 3PT FG%, rebounds, and assists, 2nd in steals and offensive rebounds and 3rd in 3PT FG per game. They come into tonight's matchup against the Dream on the heels of a 86-64 win against Washington. This is the lowest total they've scored to date and we expect them to at least reach this mark again. The Sun have scored more than 86 points in each of their 5 games, including cracking the century mark in three games. They typically shoot the ball lights out and against a weaker defensive team like the Dream, we expect them to at least hit the 90 mark once again. The Dream come into this game on the heels of a poor shooting performance in a loss against Phoenix, so we expect them to play much better offensively and use their athleticism to run with the Sun. This is one the highest totals Atlanta has been involved with, so we expect them to get up and be ready to play their hearts out against the best team in the WNBA. The over is 4-0-1 in Atlanta's last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

We roll with the Over here as note the A's have won 3 of 4 contests coming in and the Rangers have scored 3 runs or less in their last 4 games. You have an A's team that is playing good Baseball right now and a Rangers team that is anxious to bust out for some quality runs.
