Mike Clevinger really was a major surprise for the Tribe a year ago, and a lot was expected out of him in 2018. While he started the year off fine, he has struggled his past three starts. In his last 18 innings he has allowed 10 earned runs. He’s also pitched much worse at night than in the day in his short major league career. So we have these two starters pretty even talent wise. Traditionally the Cleveland bullpen has been much better, but this season has been a dumpster fire anytime the call to the bullpen is made. We actually have Detroit as a slightly better hitting team against right-handed starters.
