St. Louis pounded the hapless White Sox 14-2 on Tuesday night for Chicago's sixth loss in a row and it has given up an average of 8.3 runs in those six losses. The White Sox have lost five of Carlos Rodon's six starts this season and he owns a 1-3 record with a 4.29 ERA. Chicago is 17-36 its last 53 interleague games dating to last season and 21-48 its last 69 games versus right-handed starters. The Cardinals have feasted on bad teams as they are 39-17 their last 55 games against teams with .400 or below winning percentages. Luke Weaver has been inconsistent this season, but he usually gives the Cards five or six innings and he comes off a win at San Francisco when he allowed only two runs on two hits in eight innings. Weaver is 0-4 at home, but 5-3 on the road and the White Sox will be seeing him for the first time. I'm backing the Cardinals on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
