We used Houston last week as an underdog and that game was never in doubt as they won straight-up. The 49ers have a back-up quarterback competition, but I just do not believe either one of them is any good (Beathard/Mullens). Houston has a solid quarterback rotation behind starter DeShaun Watson and expect a similar game as was played last Thursday night against the Chiefs.

Preseason game results might not seem important for most NFL teams but no 1st year head coach wants to go winless and lose all of the new hope/excitement that he brings to his new team and their fans. The Tennessee Titans lost last week 31-17 on the road to the Green Bay Packers and with next week's game three dress rehearsal contest being on the road versus a very good Pittsburgh Steelers squad, that means a loss here by the Titans means they very easily could go winless during the preseason. He likely won't admit it but that's the last thing that Titans new head coach Mike Vrabel wants to happen so with that said look for him to place a high emphasis on winning this game here. Take Tennessee in this game.

It takes a lot of gonads to make this play and we get that. But, both these teams are not going to the playoffs and though this game is likely to be a little high scoring, we like the Underdog side here more. Indiana is playing for their entire coaching staff and they have secured themselves the #1 pick in the Draft. With just 5 wins this year, still less than the Liberty, this team is set to get the #1 Draft Pick and at worst they can tie New York, but it's hard to imagine that this team will win the game in Chicago as they will settle on 6 wins. What they will do is try to win this game, at home, in front of their crowd to leave a positive taste in the faithful's mouth before they end the regular season at home and head on the road to Chicago for their final game. This is the same team that beat the likes of Atlanta, Minnesota and LA on the road and they are certainly capable to play well with their youth. We like them here as they nearly beat Washington at home if it wasn't for a 2 point 4th quarter as they were leading by 2 points heading into the 4th and we like them to have a solid effort here.

The pitching matchup favors them as Rich Hill will be on the mound and he has never lost against the Mariners as he is 4-0 with a 1.35 ERA over 11 career appearances. Erasmo Ramirez will take the ball for just the fourth time this season for Seattle as he has had two stints on the disabled list this year. Ramirez hasn't been very effective as he is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and I think he will have a tough time getting outs against the Dodgers deep and talented lineup. I like LA in this one.

ooking to once again back this LA Dodgers squad in game two of this series. The Dodgers took the series opener last night in an easy 11-1 blowout win. They hand the baseball here to veteran lefty Rich Hill in this one. Hill got off to a rough start to this season and dealt with some injuries as well early on but he looks to be back in mid-season form right now. He comes into this game with a sparkling 1.73 ERA in his last six trips to the hill.

The Seattle Mariners have hit a wall going just 15-22 in their last 37 games. They've really struggled of late against teams with winning records posting a 13-22 mark in their last 35 games versus teams with an above .500 record overall. Erasmo Ramirez takes the ball for the Mariners here making just his 4th start this year in the big leagues and he has an ugly 6.75 ERA on the season. Take the Los Angeles Dodgers in this one.

Yes, I will take Madison Bumgarner against one of the worst teams in the Majors. This is a solid price on Bumgarner here and I see the Giants getting even in this series after an extra inning loss last night. Bumgarner has just a 2.71 ERA since coming back from injury and hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in his last four starts. Matt Harvey has been trash all season and I think he'll get knocked around again today.

The Dodgers bombed the Mariners last night and right now Seattle is sinking like a stone. They are just 12-18 in their last 30 games and they have now lost three of four. I don't think that Erasmo Ramirez is the answer to anything here. He was good in his last start on Aug. 12, which was his first start since April. Crafty lefty Rich Hill is on the mound for the Dodgers and he has posted a quality start in four of his last five games. I think the Dodgers are back on the upswing and I think they will get this win.
