This is where Mike Tomlin will earn his chops here. Everyone thinks he has lost the team and do you reall think that this team will not respond to their long-time coach on national television? Of course they will respond well and they are in it for the long haul with out Bell and Tomlin made it that clear with roster moves recently. Antonio Brown is back after being disciplined by Coach Tomlin, Big Ben will not throw as many picks as he did in the Browns game and he was much better against Kansas City and this team will have a much better defensive effort this week. At some point these Bucs will have a let down and it is here as they are way over valued and we simply do not see the Steelers not getting 1 win after 3 games to start the season as this will be the game that the Steelers come roaring back on the map this week.

You got a quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger who is aging, slowing down. He’s even been likened in the news with Stormy Daniels this week. How bad can that get? You’ve got a running back who the team doesn’t want to pay. He’s now on the trade blocks. Your top wide receiver’s been a problem, troublemaker with your team. He seems disinterested to play. You’ve got 40% of your offensive line out tonight. Your right guard and right tackle will not play this evening.

Then you’ve got a first-year offensive co-ordinator on the road. Let’s flip it around to their defense. This team basically returns all their starters from last year, and the guys that they let go, they’ve probably upgraded with guys from other cities that have come in. This is a very experienced defense, and what happened to them last week? They gave up six passing touchdowns, blown out by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Mahomes is a first-year starter in the NFL. His secondary is gonna miss Morgan Burnett tonight in the safety position, and their cornerbacks Haden and Burns are nursing injuries as well. That’s not good news when you got the likes of Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson, even Humphries, they can all take the top off the defense at home. This offensive line is playing very well for Tampa. Why can’t they win this game? Ryan Fitzpatrick, how did he become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL the first three weeks of the football season? Well, it’s simple. He’s got the weapons.

He’s got receivers that can spread the field. He’s got running backs that can catch the ball out of the backfield to get chunk yardage and he’s getting great tight end play. Again, it all starts up front with that offensive line. They’re playing very well. If you look at Pittsburgh on their side of the ball, when you’re missing guys on the offensive line that’s not good. With Bell out, they don’t really have that running back that can catch the ball out of the backfield and get those safe yards when needed.

They have good tight ends there in Pittsburgh, but it’s just not enough. I don’t think Pittsburgh is any good this year, and it’s a shame. I feel like the coach has lost his football team. When you’re on the road in a critical week three game where you can
Tampa, on the other hand, you got Ryan Fitzpatrick who is saying, “Why can’t I be the starter?” And really, why shouldn’t he be? Jameis Winston’s gotten his self in trouble many of times over the course of his NFL career, even dating back to college. How many chances do you get as a pro athlete? When you’ve got a guy that’s coming in here, slinging the ball all over the field, this is a statement game for Fitzpatrick.
go either one of two ways. You can get back in the winning circle for the first time this year and start to build on that, or you could lose and you can be going into week four of the season without a win.

If he does well tonight and beats Pittsburgh at home, you got to say that that’s his job to keep. If not, the coaching staff is crazy. We’re gonna go with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers here at home, minus the one-and-a-half to finish off week three in the NFL.

Toronto's Estrada enters this start off of a solid outing at Baltimore but this certainly has been the exception rather than the norm lately for the Blue Jays right-hander. He entered that start having been crushed to the tune of a 12.60 ERA over his 4 prior starts. The Astros game yesterday ended up being a push to the total so they are still on a 3-0 run to the over entering this match-up. Also, in road games with a posted total of 9 or 9.5 runs, Houston is on a long-term 47-23 run to the over. As a road favorite of -175 or more, the Astros are on a 21-10 run to the over. As a home underdog of +175 or more, the Blue Jays are 20-8 to the over! Only 1 of Keuchel's last 5 road starts have remained under the total. The Jays lost 5-2 yesterday but had previously won 6 of their last 8 games and averaged scoring 5 runs per game. The point being that the Jays are still playing hard to close out the season while the Astros are working hard to try and lock up the AL West title. Houston has won 6 of their last 8 games and averaged scoring 6 runs per game in the process. 10* OVER the total in Toronto

What has gotten into the Bucs?!!?! What has gotten into the Steelers!?!?!


Tampa Bay has won and covered in BOTH of their games this season, and they have done so over a pair of NFC teams that were playoff clubs last year - the Bucs upsetting New Orleans, 48-40 on Week One as the +10 point dog, then following in their home opener with a 27-20 home dog win over the Super Bowl champion Eagles!


The big story is back-up QB - Ryan Fitzpatrick who has thrown for over 800 yards, and 8 TD passes, as he sure looks like he has a strong case for remaining the starter once Jameis Winston's suspension is completed after tonight's contest.


Meanwhile, the Steelers have started this year with internal turmoil - see Le'Veon Bell's holdout, see Antonio Brown's twitter whines - as Mike Tomlin's team is 0-1-1 which includes a rather ugly lack of defense last weekend at home versus Kansas City where they were torched for over 400 yards and 6 TD passes by Patrick Mahomes.


The question is, do these trends continue????

The Steelers have won each of their last 6 Monday night games, and they have covered in 4 of those 6 wins. The Bucs have covered 5 of their last 7 home underdog tries under Dirk Koetter, and they do have a red-hot QB on their side, but my money tonight is on the veteran, prideful Steelers to figure out a way to cool off Fitzpatrick and the Bucs.

I think that Pittsburgh is going to get its first win of the season here. This team has been struggling. But the public is backing off this team. I think that there is value on a team that many people had going to the Super Bowl heading into the season. The Steelers are one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. And I think that they will be able to score a lot of points against this Tampa Bay defense that has given up 61 points in two games. The Steelers have had a lot of success on Monday Night Football. I think this team will play their best game yet this year. Tampa Bay is 2-0 with two upset wins. But I don't think that this team is that good. They are due for a loss. Pittsburgh is desperate for a win. I think that the Steelers are going to outplay Tampa Bay from the opening whistle and this one looks like an easy win for the Steelers. The public is on the hot Bucs team. But I will go with the proven Pittsburgh team in this one.
