7pt Tease --- PITT +3.5 & UNDER 58.5

If you have to use a 6.5pt tease that fine..We just want the +3 or 58 at worst.

Look I think Pitt can cover this game without a tease, but I'm not certain they can cover 3.5 against the Panthers for sure. This total is high to start and 51.5 is over that key number of 51. So why not tease this to 58.5 and make it even easier on ourselves. I get the home team at 3.5 and under 58.5..We get some valuable key numbers guys.

Pitt offense has been solid and the defense has actually been one of the best the last 4 weeks they've played across the league..Panthers defense has been very good as well, but I'm not certain the Panthers will put up big points. These teams are similar as far as the backfields go...Bell and Connor are used just like McCaffrey is for the Panthers..So that Pitt defense should be able to contain him. Visa versa for the Panthers defense slowing down Connor. I see both teams looking to avoid that crucial mistake tonight and both playing this game much more calculated. Close to the vest type of game..I think 27-24 seems about right, but a 30-24 game wouldn't surprise me either.

In the hotly contested NFC South, the Carolina Panthers are holding onto second place at 6-2, one game behind the Saints. The Panthers are riding a three-game winning streak into this Thursday nightprime time affair against the Steelers and their leader Cam Newton has been superman of late. Newton has 15 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions, though he's given up 3 fumbles. In the three straight wins Newton has thrown for over 200 yards and two touchdowns in each. The Carolina defense will need to slow down a Steeler offense that can put a lot of points on the board. The Steelers bring their own four-game winning streak into this game and with a Ben Roethlisberger who is showing little signs this season of slowing could be up for another big night. Roethlisberger has 16 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, but the Steelers are putting up over 20 points per game and against the NFC South are unbeaten this season having beaten the Falcons 41-17 and the Buccaneers 30-27. Look for a lot of scoring and a fun game to watch.

This Thunder team struggles without Russell Westbrook in the lineup. I know the Thunder got themselves a win last night without him, but they played the Cavs. The Rockets have been better on the road so far this season for some reason and I expect them to take advantage of a team that is going to miss the ball movement and scoring ability of Westbrook. The drama should be few and far between now that UConn no longer has Kevin Ollie as its head coach. It was clear he wore out his welcome in Storrs. Dan Hurley, formally of Rhode Island, inherits some talent for the Huskies. Jalen Adams is one of the best scoring guards in the entire country. He and Christian Vital will form a very dangerous 1-2 backcourt punch. Connecticut also gets grad transfer Tarin Smith, who averaged 12 points last year in the A-10 for Duquesne. They'll be strong out of the gate in their opener. Morehead State was 8-21 last year and they lose two of their four double digit scorers from a season ago. Big victory for UConn over the OVC here.
