Analysis
Andy Reid is a likely Hall of Fame coach. But when it comes to the playoffs he is a Hall of Fame chump. Reid's team have lost eight of their last nine playoff games. This includes a 1-4 postseason mark with the Chiefs. The Titans upset the Chiefs as 8 1/2-point road 'dogs last season in the Chiefs' first playoff game. These Colts are far better than that Tennessee team. The Chiefs went just 3-3 down the stretch going 1-4-1 ATS with their lone cover coming against the Raiders. Indianapolis is 10-1 in its last 11 games. The Colts' defense has been far better than perceived. So has their offensive line, which gave up the fewest sacks in the league. Marlon Mack has emerged as a running back threat. He's better than any of Kansas City's running backs with Kareem Hunt gone. Patrick Mahomes had a great season. But so did Andrew Luck, who threw the second-most TD passes on the season in back of only Mahomes. Luck has playoff experience, something Mahomes lacks. Kansas City's defense has played better at home. But the Colts hold a defensive edge. They've held five of their last six foes to 21 points or fewer. The Chiefs defense surrendered the second-most points per game and second most-yards per game. The Colts have become a physical unit that can play ball control. That's the way to beat the Chiefs.

Take Florida State ATS as my 4-Unit CBB Smash for Saturday. This pick falls into one my top college basketball systems and I smell a potential upset coming here Saturday. Florida State has played great at home this season averaging 82.9 points per game while shooting 47.8% as a team and they have held opponents to just 67.3 points per game while shooting 41.6% against them at home. Duke has really not been tested on the road this season with their only true road game coming at Wake Forest as the rest of their road games were at neutral courts. Duke is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the Seminoles and do has allowed 72 points per game on the road this season and that is with just playing one true road game as the rest were on neutral courts. The Seminoles are the better shooting team from the line here knocking down 73.8% this season while Duke has shot just 67.6% from the line the season and that will be the difference in this game as I expect a very close finish here today. Northern Illinois comes into this home game winners of back-to-back road games and the Huskies will be looking for revenge since last year Akron beat them twice. With the Huskies getting this game in their backyard I see them controlling the tempo in the second half and winning this game. Northern Illinois is 5-0 ATS last 5 home games and the home team in this series is 6-0 ATS.

Tonight at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas we should see tons of offense and a big Houston Cougars victory. I know the Houston Cougars defense is outstanding but their last home game they threw up 90 points against Memphis. Wichita St is a very young and inexperience team but their offense is playing much better and their last 4 games 3 of them have gone 'Over'. This play is all about fading the CS Fullerton Titans and I see the UC Irvine Anteaters winning this road game. The Titans have dropped 6 out 7 games and I remember in early December the LMU Lions beat the Titans at home 59-49 and wouldn't shock me to see them get crushed tonight. The Titans are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games and the Titans are also 1-5 ATS following a SU loss. UC Irvine is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games and the road team in this series is also 7-2-1 ATS.

At the end of the day, the Colts have an offense that can put up some points. This is a team that is coached by Frank Reich the former OC of the Eagles and you would have to think that this team will put up some points here against a Chiefs team that is last in most defensive categories in the league. True, the Chiefs played great against the lowly Raiders in their last game but they had come in giving up 38 to the Seahawks on the road, 29 to the Chargers, 24 to the Ravens in overtime who just put up 9 points against the Chargers, 40 to Oakland and 54 to the Rams before that. What the Chiefs will do is to score some points here which they have always been able to do. With the Colts scoring their fair share of points with Andrew Luck at the helm, look for them to be a solid active dog as this team has now won 11 of 12 games, features the 7th best offense, put up 23 on a good Cowboys defense away from home and this is likely a high scoring affair here.

4-Unit Play. #303. Take Under 49.5 Dallas Cowboys vs. LA Rams (Saturday @ 8:15pm est)
The Cowboys have a stout defense and time and time again when it matters most they have stepped up. They held Seattle to 22 points, the Colts to 23, the Eagles to 23 in overtime and the Saints to 10 points. When you least expect this team to do well, they do well. They understand they are going into the Lion's den here in the Rams but given that the Cowboys rely solely on ball possession and that defense, look for the Cowboys to take a page out of the Eagles defense and play great defense and keep themselves in ballgames with that defense just like the Eagles did to help our Foles. We like Dallas to play spirited defense against Rams offense that only put up 6 points against the Bears defense and consequently, we like Dallas to control the pace and hang in this game by keeping the Rams off the field. Hence, we like the Under.
