Opinion – NORTHERN ILLINOIS (-5) over Central Michigan

Rotation #630 – 5 pm Pacific

Northern Illinois has covered the spread in 6 of their last 7 games and the Huskies are now 10-4 ATS this season. Part of that has to do with formerly mediocre or bad 3-point shooters suddenly finding their stroke to the tune of 40.4% 3-point shooting in those lined games. The Huskies aren’t going to shoot like that all season, as they’re actually 38.3% in all games and I project them at 35.9% going forward. However, NIU may still be a bit underrated even after the positive variance is factored out, as my ratings favor them by 6 points in this game, and Central Michigan applies to a 43-138-5 ATS situation that plays against road teams that end a win streak with an upset home loss. The line has come down from -7 to -5 and I’ll lean with Northern Illinois now that the line is fair.
